Wait until you have it charged and working.. I have had my FB for about a month & love looking at it, checking my stats. It really does motivate you to get to another level. I went walking in the local park with my sister over the weekend. I told her that we had to stay out for 4000 steps and 45 mins--we had to hit both goals before stopping our walk. We were chatting so much that we exceeded both! Have fun with your Fitbit!

Generally they will respond within 1-2 business days. If you sent the email on the weekend then you may have to wait that extra day. Did you receive a canned response from them? If you did it would provide you with a case number. You may want to send another email referencing that case number.

About how long do I have to wait for a response from Fitbit's customer service? I've had my fitbit for less then a month and it will no longer hold a charge for even 12 hours. I'm just wondering how long it takes for them to respond to emails.

So far, my experience with customer service has been positive. They are currently sending me out a new unit since my first one was glitchy. It quit keeping count of steps halfway through the day several times and had to be reset often. Hopefully my new one will not have this issue. The customer service is WAY, WAY better than the company that supports an armband type unit that shows up on a popular TV show. My first one of those was bad too, and it took me 3 months to get it replaced. Plus it cost a monthly fee and it didn't track all my exercise. AT least if the fitbit doesn't pick up weight training, etc, I can load it without taking the thing off to trick it.

I had a fitbit ultra for around 15 months when it just broke apart while I was wearing it teaching class. I took a photo of it, snapped it back together and stuck it in my pocket. It managed to track for a few more days, although I couldn't read it. I sent the photo and my receipt to fitbit consumer support. They offered to replace it with a fitbit 1, saying that they did not replace it with the ultra.

I checked on the fitbit store site and found that the fitbit one is not a whole lot different from my ultra; it seems to have all the same functions with the addition to an alarm, which I like. I agreed to these terms and a new fitbit was at my door within a week.

I am very pleased with the Fitbit company's willingness to back up their products.

I have had my fitbit for almost 2 years. Lost one after a year so I ordered a new one. Then lost that one after about 4 months. Wrote to CS about some kind of deal for a good customer clutz. They totally replaced second one -no charge. I have read some of your issues with the connections between fitbit and Sparks. I had no problems at all and totally love how fitbit does the activity and Sparks tracks the food. I do not have a phone app but do use computer and I-pad application.

DIANALACAT59 - We started charging for our mobile tracking apps because they require significant resources to build & maintain, but do not provide much revenue via ads (and we have to make money so that we can stay in business and support our free products)! The site is still 100% free and so is our mobile site that can be accessed on your phone's web browser (mobile.sparkpeople.com).

However, if you previously had the free app, you may still be able to get that back (but it won't be updated).

The process for reinstalling the free version of the app is slightly different depending on where you originally downloaded the app. Below are instructions for purchases from Google Play and from Amazon.com's Appstore for Android.

Option A--Purchased from Google Play Store/Android Market
1. On your device, open the Google Play app.
2. Click the menu button on your phone.
3. From the options that appear, select "my apps."
4. At the top of the page, you will have the option of viewing installed or all apps. Click the button that says "all" to view all apps.
5. Scroll to find the app.
6. To the right of the app title, click the icon that says "free" to install it.

Option B--Purchased from Amazon
1. Open the Amazon Appstore App.
2. Click on the menu button on your phone.
3. Form the options that appear, select "my apps."
4. At the top of the page you have the option of viewing new, installed, or all apps. Click to view all apps.
5. Locate the SparkPeople app from that list and click to install.

Well, I finally received the Fitbit One that they shipped on February 26th. After all the calls & emails with Fitbit & USPS, I don't feel nearly as enthusiastic about it now as when I ordered it.

after the issue with fb app my sp app messed up. I had the free app, but I had to delete it off my phone and try and reinstall it. Guess what they wanted me to pay for it this time so I just left it off my phone. (I have android pro) not one of the better phones. seems almost like they did that so I will have to pay for app.

fitbit and sp are having issues today and they are not nice. I finally got mine to work but I had to manually put in my steps on sp. also I got an update on my phone for fb and it was BAD I had to completely wipe out my fb on my phone

For some reason, my fitbit doesn't ever automatically sync with SparkPeople. I have to sync it manually. But today, I can't sync it AT ALL, and I can't even get to the page for the settings.
Help? Is it a fitbit problem, SparkPeople problem, or computer problem?

So sorry to hear of your problem with fitbit support. I thought my new one would get her earlier than it did too. I did get the tracking number and all it said was that it made it to USPS or Post Office and nothing from there,but it was the date they received it and so I thought in a day or two it will be here then.. I was right and so glad I calmed down. I had it in my head that fitbit was sending it out that day but it didn't. Hope things look up for you--Betty

You've all had better luck with Fitbit CS than I'm having. They shipped my Fitbit One on February 26th & it's still not here. Last week I tried tracking it through USPS using the tracking number Fitbit gave me. They couldn't track it after March 4th. I contacted Fitbit & received an answer that they couldn't track it because they had given it to USPS. Finally on Wednesday I sent them another email & told them that since USPS couldn't help & Fitbit couldn't help, I would prefer to just cancel the order & receive a refund. Then they tracked it to the Chicago area & also offered to send another order via Express Mail. I told them that if it was in Chicago, It should reach St. Louis in 1-2 days. I don't want them to send another order because then I'll have to make arrangements to return one of the orders if they both arrive.

I was very excited when I ordered it, but needless to say, my enthusiasm is way down at this point.

I recently had to contact CS with Fitbit. I used to have a FB Ultra. I bought it last year around October, I used it for a little while and then got injured and just stopped using it. So this year when I was recovered from my injury, I decided to dig it out and start using it again. I plugged it in to my computer and it was completely dead, battery and all. I contacted CS and we tried all kinds of things to get it working to no avail. They told me they would send me a new FB but this time it was a FB One at no charge. I received it a week later and am very happy with it. So I would say FB CS is pretty awesome. They attempted to get my original piece of equipment working and when it did not, they just gave me another one. Now that's customer service!!! emoticon

I am very happy with the service I received. I lost my Ultra & it was found, outside, after quite a few rainy days. I contacted customer service & they were out of Ultras, but they offered me a One for half of what it normally costs. I like the One more than the Ultra & I loved the Ultra!!

My FitBit was accidentally sent throught the wash. My boss lost his on a trip. And my coworker lost hers God knows where. We had them given to us by our boss as Christmas gifts. My boss wrote to customer service and they quickly replaced all three. I think their customer service is Above Par. Very pleased!!!

Wow, I got mine really fast, ordered last Wed & got it today. Sounds like lost in postal service somewhere. What does it say on the 4th? That it is delivered? If that is what it says, tell them you did NOT receive it, talk to local manager if you have to.

I'm trying to get answer from customer service regarding faces on the zip. They sent me a picture of 4 faces:
dots for eyes with... tongue out = sedentary, with a smile = moving about, with an open smile = working harder & with a huge open smile = working really hard.

They wouldn't address when the dots in eyes move to ^^ and as for the occasional glimpse of something that looks like a bug...

How long did it take for you to receive your Fitbit? I bought the Fitbit One on February 26th & haven't received it yet. Tried to track it through USPS but they have no information after March 4th. Please send an email to FB's Customer Service and tell them what happened. They might offer a no-charge replacement. As my mother is fond of telling me, all they can tell you is no.
Also, you might consider in investing in a security lanyard.
With regards to it "popping out" of its sleeve I have never had that happen to my One. I have worn my One on all of my runs and it has never even partially popped out. I take it out every day to recharge. I do insure that that the sleeve is wrapped securely around the device and also make sure that it is inserted with the button at the top of the sleeve and facing out.
Anyhow, please get in contact with their Customer Service, I am certain they will try to make you whole again!

Beware if you clip it to your pants pockets, mine popped out of the holder today,and is lost. I retraced steps and called places I have been to no avail. I worried that the case would stretch out because I track my sleep, and it did!! I just noticed on the website they suggest you wear it, with it in your pocket and the clip on the outside. Too late for me, but maybe will help others. Only had it 2 months, not sure I want to spend another $100, because I really used it, I will see how I do without.

Attitude is everything so pick a good one!!

I've had a FitBit Ultra since last year June and have used it every moment of every day/night. A couple weeks ago it cracked by the edge near the loop. The second I noticed it, I emailed FitBit support. They responded within a couple hours asking for a photo which I promptly took with my phone and sent to them. Within an hour they emailed me back letting me know that they had a brand new FitBit One (an upgraded replacement as they don't make the Ultras anymore) set aside for me and two hours after that, I received a shipping notice. The product normally gets hung up in customs coming into Canada for a few days but thanks to the lovely people at Canada Customs I had my new FitBit in hand within 48 hours of my original email. How's that for customer service!!!

Your story like the Customer Service nightmare from HELL! Find out if they have a mailing address for their Customer Service and then BLITZ them with copies of this posting. Over and over. Until someone from there contacts you. It is insane to think that anyone is running a business without phones!

There is an app that will send you an email or a text when your battery is getting low: Here is the link for the app:

Also, your flower has nothing to do with meeting goals. It is an activity indicator. It will grow based on your current level of activity. That is when you need to look at it is after completing a cardio activity, i.e., walking or running.

Yes it does tell you about the battery being low. It is on the computer or if you plug it in ~ It will show the status of the battery as it is being charged. Regarding # 1 and # 2. We all do it so enjoy the go..

Yes, I have experienced both 1 and 2! I can assure you that dementia has nothing to do with it--it's real. I also have had times when no activity is recorded at all, which I thought was due to being too far from home but I think it gets a little squirrely when it's beginning to need a charge. Do you know if there is some kind of indicator about charge getting low? (I could read the FB info but that would be too easy). And one last thing, do you have any trouble with your flower not growing at all even if you have met all your goals? Oh, well, the little booger isn't infallible but it makes activity a little more fun and that helps! Good luck and good health!

Still waiting for my replacement fitbit one. The first one stopped working the third day I used it. I believe the problem was the charging device. I liked it for the short time it worked. Hopefully the replacement will arrive soon.

I love my FitBit Zip. I wear it everywhere. I even put it in a zippered snack bag when I am doing laps in the pool. It is a great little tool.

Well, after 2 months my fitbit decided to stop working, so I changed the battery, it still would not work. Luckily I bought a service contract @ Best Buys, so I took it there yesterday.The tech tried it out and it wouldn't work . So he asked me what do I want to do, so I said exchange the old one for a new one. After completing the new sync technique , today I'm back in business.

I am still waiting for my replacement. I have been very sad without my zip. They said 7 to 10 business days. They asked me my preferred color and i changed from my original color I wonder which I will receive

Raul, YES! Snow marching is very good exercise and I love the cold! I get my heart rate up and I really feel the workout!

According to the FB site your FB will only count upward climbs.Per the Q&A on the site:
"Your tracker uses changes in barometric pressure to detect elevation change, and therefore requires that you physically change elevation in order to properly record floors." I work on the second floor of my building, which is roughly 23-25' higher than the first floor and I only receive credit for 4 floors each day. I wish that it would count walking downstairs then I would be able to get my FLOOR BADGES quicker!
