I bought fitbits for my whole family (3) for Christmas. Best Buy sells them and this may help you not worry about all the shipping issues. I happy to report no issues with mine. I have a ZIP and I love it.

Amazon doesn't have them listed yet, but I will be patient and wait. I need to charge my Ultra and get back to using it, it frustrated me so much I stopped using it for over a month. I think have a wrist one would work for me I don't have a tennis bracelet and my watch needs a new band so for now I will look forward to the flex, I still hve time to change my mind

Not sure if I want it.
My wrists are occupied with my watch on one hand and tennis bracelet on the other.
I was more interested in sending information along to everyone.

bonnie, did you go to amazon to see if they are taking preorders on it. There you might get the color you want, get it shipped faster and pay about the same

I am frustrated I bought the Fitbit Ultrsa and was told that it would sync with my Iphone by Bluetooth...wrong and now they don't even sell it. I contacted customer service and she said oh that one doesn't sync wirelessly, you could upgrade to the One and I said but I just paid $100 for the Ultra. I am waiting until the flex comes out and ordering one. i would pre-order but I want teal not black or steel gray.

Please do not post any phone numbers to Fitbit. Fitbit has requested that you only email support@fitbit.com first so that your case is directed to the appropriate person for response.
Thank you!

I sync my fitbit with Spark and you can also go to fitbit.com. Check out the dashboard. So far I am enjoying mine. Every once in a while I know it's off. Usually it work just fine.

I sent 2 emails about problems with Fitbit 1. They replied promptly to the first, with their standard letter saying syncing with ipod is a known problem and they are working on an update to the app. My other problem, that my Fitbit is erratic, e.g. not counting my flight of stairs, awarding me active minutes and then removing them, etc, has not been addressed. They mailed acknowledging my query on 2nd Jan, and nothing since. I am not impressed.

I have to say, I'm fairly annoyed with Fitbit right now. I ordered one after Christmas, and waited until now for it to arrive... Fitbit customer service assured me it was sent out and should be arriving soon, but speaking to USPS told me that no package under that tracking number even existed. I'm also getting seriously miffed while waiting for their email responses. I wish they had a phone number I could call.

My ultra died yet again, would not hold a charge and sometimes not counting my steps. They replaced it with the One which I will have today.

question: my fitbit is recording over 10,000 steps but my dashboard is 2000 steps less. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have synced fitbit and turned it on and off. Thanks!

I continue to have software problems.
The desktop seems to be behaving.....I was getting error messages in the sync pop up for the One, or it loaded properly, or it did not load at all.....it is not showing on boot up and the syncing is working okay.
I also had problems with syncing to my iPhone, but the site said to reload the fitbit app which I did, and we will see if it works.

Well I had to contact fitbit customer service and requested that they call me, but they did not. They did reply via email the next day. They provided the same trouble shooting instructions that was on their website along with a request to reply back if I still had issues. I did try resetting my fitbit again and it worked for about 2 mins. I sent them an email that it was fixed only to discover that it was back with the same problems. I sent them another email that I was still having difficulties. They did not reply the following day. I sent a follow up and requested that they see below which noted my fitbit problems and what I had done. They replied with the same canned answer as before--to reset my fitbit.
In the end they are sending me a new fitbit as mine was still under warranty. Since they no longer have the Ultra they are sending me the fitbit ONE so I am satisfied.

The stride is automatically set based on your height that you enter. I have a Fitbit Ultra which I love. My belt clip broke on me recently and I contacted support and they were happy to send me a replacement. Their response was fantastic!

The calories counted by the fitbit include the ones you expend just to stay alive...breathing, metabolizing..etc. I susally wake up with 200-300 calories burned already.
of course, I usually make a few trips to the washroom.....

I just got a fitbit zip for as a Christmas surprise. I am confused about the number of calories expended that it tracks. I have calories expended before even getting out of bed today. Do I exercise in my sleep at lot more than when I am up and walking around? Staying in bed is so much easier (Laugh), I would like to set my stride and cannot seem to find how. I accidentally washed my old electronic pedo but could download the data. It seemed more accurate with tracking since I could set my profile accurately. Perhaps I just don't understand this gadget yet. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I ordered my fitbit on December 11th. I was so excited to get it. I considered paying for expedited shipping but decided that I could wait the 5-7 days they said it would take to get here. Then I received a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. This email said it would take 5-10 days. Hmm...okay. More than 10 business days later, I was still unable to track it. Every time I tried to use the tracking number on the USPS website, it gave me an error message. I finally contacted customer service. Their response was very quick. They told me it must have been lost in transit and they would send another one out immediately. I told them that I had already been waiting for over two weeks and did not want to wait another two weeks. They upgraded the shipping and sent it out right away. So far, customer service has been superb, even though it's only by email. I'm sure that this company was bombarded with orders after partnering with Spark and now they're just trying to catch up. I'm sure things will improve. This seems like a company that cares about their customers.

The ongoing Saga...
It seems USPS has lost my package and their tracking system is broken. (not just fitbit, a couple of other packages I was expecting haven't shown up either, thankfully no xmas presents). Fitbit's solution was to refund my original purchase, and I submitted another order, this time using FedEx shipping.
needless to say, their warehouse ran out of fitbit one's before my latest order could be fulfilled, so once again I am on the waiting list....

This is a pretty ongoing problem with Fitbit; they have a hard time getting in front of themselves, so to speak.
I am pretty fortunate right now, my One arrived functional and okay, I was able to download the syncing software without getting a blue screen of death, and even was able to link the One to my iPhone five. So the phone links with the desktop which links with spark people.....
But, my clothes dryer broke this morning.
Oh we'll.

Before Fitbit and SP got together, service was so much much better. I think no one realized how overwhelmed fb;s customer service was going to be unprepared to handle all these new customers

My Fitbit has been really accurate and durable, but Customer Service is so bad and I am hearing this from many. I am ready to scrap the Fitbit even though I love the device. I need my stats and can't wait any longer as I haven't had stats for over a month since Customer Service is still "working on the problem."
Good luck to everyone!

As much as I love my fitbit, I hate their customer service Purchased my first ultra back in March and then after 4 months, it lost being accurate and it was replaced. the replacement now is showing its stupidity and instead of adding complete steps walked up, it is taking them away as well as lots of my steps I have two different reps working on my problem, which most likely is why I can't get a good answer from any one Considering I live in a two story house with the bedrooms upstairs, the fit bit picked up zero of my stairs climbed, instead of the six flights I climbed that day. Love it though when customer service told me to just manually enter all my steps which are lost. Guessing now that at 1158 pm each night I need to write down my steps, stairs climbed and calories burned so that when I sync it I can see how many the system removes
Yes, I have reset this thing so much after each of these malfunctions and it does nothing but tick me off more

Another email from customer service asking how I like my new fitbit, when I have not yet received one... The shipping time of 5 - 7 days officially passed yesterday without my replacement arriving.
Summary: Ordered Oct 18 Shipped Nov 13 Arrived DOA Nov 15 Reported DOA to fitbit: Nov 16 DOA acknowledged and RMA received Nov 25 Replacement Shipped: Dec 10 Reported as not arrived: Dec 19
I'm wondering if my fitbit will last as long (without breaking or being lost) as it took to actually get one...

I am filing a complaint via my credit card to deny them payment if I can. They told me that the Next Day shipping is "from the time the payment is processed" which is ludicrous since they are the ones who decide when they charge my card! SO unpleased with this, it is only a few days but since they have free expedited (2-3 day) shipping right now I certainly wouldn't have ordered next day if it wasn't going to be!

SABLEARTS, You can refuse the delivery and order from Amazon.com and demand a refund for the full amount including shipping if they didn't get it to you by the time promised. I think, that one day shipping only means from the time the item leaves the warehouse (is shipped) it gets to you in one day. Not sure, just saying. I have had very nice people to deal with most of the time through Fitbit, but their Customer Service is extremely slow and not always very knowledgeable. I am STILL waiting for a response to problems I had syncing my FITBIT since November 27!!
I hope it all works out for you! Sorry you are having these issues!
Best to you, Cathy

Order from Amazon.com ... if you're Prime, you get it in 2 days and the shipping is free. And from what I can tell by the posts I see here, Amazon with regular shipping gets it to you faster than Fitbit. Love my Fitbit but sooooo glad I avoided any complications by purchasing from Amazon.

Completely annoyed at Fitbit's customer service right now.
Last week I lost my fitbit at a store, and ordered a new one.a few days ago. Since fitbit has become vital for me - I really feel like I can't live without it at this point! - I paid the ridiculous $20 for next day shipping.
Not only have I still not received it, I haven't even gotten a shipping confirmation!
So, today I send a message to fitbit customer service asking for some kind of update on when I can expect it, and also requesting that they refund my expedited shipping since I did NOT receive it when expected.
20 minutes later they send me a shipping notice, and then inform me that because it's already shipped there's nothing they can do for me re: a refund! Unbelievable, and terribly sheisty customer service. If I pulled that kind of a fast one on my customers at work I would catch it from my customers AND my boss.
Love the product, but I am definitely going to let everyone I can know how they're trying to pull one over on people with their shipping practices, so maybe my friends won't get bamboozled out of $20. I know it is the holiday season and therefore probably busy, but you should not offer next day shipping if you can't deliver on it!

CKAY...email Fitbit and tell them what happened. Tell them how Fitbit has helped you and maybe they will do something for you. Sorry this happened to you!

I am so bummed: I ran over my Fitbit with my car today and it is dead. My DH says my Christmas gifts are already bought, so I can't ask for a new one for Christmas. I didn't know it came off my waistband. I sure miss my little Fitbit friend.

Kay, I move my Fitbit to my sock when I do stationary biking and it is very accurate for that and otherwise move it to my pants. I do understand trying to get the most accurate stats. Sounds like you are doing your best to do that!

Thanks Cathy. I wasn't taking mine off, but I thought I read that when you did other exercises, take it off or your count wouldn't be accurate. I have been wearing it all the time until I read that.
