Wow! Just reading through some of these posts amazed me. I also had to replace mine because it stopped syncing to my computer. Like others below me I asked for help and they sent me info. It still didn't help and let them know and I received a new one. I love this thing. Haven't named it yet but I have influenced a couple people enough they went and bought it. Thanks for sharing everyone.

LOST IN LONDON update:

My friend who only had his a couple of weeks (got it whilst in the US on hols and then went back home & oopsie!)?

Fitbit sent him a new device. It took them LESS TIME to get him a replacement in LONDON UK than it did to get mine in Missouri (course, I live extremely rural, like at the bottom of the Grand Canyon rural--you just have no clue).

Anyway, I meant to tell you guys that cos I was dead impressed BUT seeing as he only had it 2 weeks...it was lovely they did that.

He is impressed (obviously) and loves it even more, if that were possible!

Yenny, another great story!
All these stories make me feel justified that I spend $100 on a pedometer (twice-LOL). It's nice to know that if something should go wrong with it, it will probably be replaced!

My fitbit cracked and sweat was getting into it so it worked on and off, so I emailed fitbit... they had me send 2 pictures the best I could get... then within 2 days I had a new fitbit on my door step for free. They are amazing customer service and I tell everyone about their awesomeness ;)

The thingy I got to attach to my Fitbit was very flimsy and I ended up not using it. It's more secure on my bra. :D

I've almost lost mine a few times. I finally caved in and attached it to something that firmly clips on to my {blush} underpants and loops around the top part of the Fitbit. If I hadn't done that, I'm sure I would have either lost it or had it fall in the toilet! The safety cord thingy only cost about $2 - so it's worth it to avoid having to wait for a replacement. I'm addicted to my Fitbit! LOL I'm glad to read so many positive CS stories, though, just in case something does happen to it!

I sweated so much on my Fitbit that it quit working. So I have a new one on its way. I was out in the sun trying to help my roofing crew keep the debry picked up. I'm too cripled up to be doing stuff like that. At any rate Fitbit didn't question a thing and has a new one coming.

Bless their hearts.

I bought my Fitbit at the end of last December. By February, I had a problem: it would not sync anything to the website except calories burned. Customer Service sent me an email with some possible fixes. When those didn't work, they sent me a replacement Fitbit.

I'm amazed that they have replaced so many Fitbits that have been lost, laundered, etc.--things that are not the company's fault.

My husband sent his FitBit through the wash and dryer. He emailed FitBit about it. They replied (after hours) with some suggestions to see if he can reset his FitBit, with the offer to replace it for free if it doesn't reset.
I can't think of another company that sends free replacements when it's your fault it broke in the first place!

I have also had a great experience with Fitbit customer support. I contacted them to ask about getting a replacement for my lost Fitbit, and they sent me a complimentary replacement! Awesome!

Although I love using it, I had been considering giving up on the Fitbit because I have now lost two and washed one in the wash (and this is all since November of last year). It just seems so hard for me to keep track of the darn thing. However, this will be the third complimentary replacement I've gotten from them, and I am VERY impressed - I will definitely keep going with the Fitbit. I think the company has a real challenge here, since the device is both expensive and easy to lose...kind of a puzzle for them to solve in terms of keeping people on board.

About a month ago my fitbit started doubling everything........double steps, double stairs, etc. One day it registered 11 flights of stairs and I had done none! I emailed customer service, they responded by the end of the day and 3 days later I had my replacement fitbit. Wonderful customer service!! I've been in retail for 45 years and I have never seen customer service like this. The only disappointment is that once again my stats are real. I kind of liked when everything was doubled. emoticon

I lost my Fitbit 3 weeks after I got it for Mother's Day from my son. I contacted customer service and they sent me a brand new one for free! I couldn't believe how a company can have such great customer service. I was so happy. I just got the new one on Monday and started Fitbiting again!

Completely in agreement with the praise of the customer service at FitBit. I washed mine and, while I could get it to flicker a number, I couldn't get it to work. I contacted the customer service people and, after they offered a few suggestions on how to get it to work that, unfortunately, failed, they sent me a replacement right away.

Good, friendly, responseive service.

Renie -

I agree, he needs something but he's too stubborn. Actually, the only reason I didn't go ballistic when he lost it is that I am afraid of losing mine.

I LOVE my fitbit, and I seriously intend to get more involved with this team.

One of the few companies I know where I have heard only positive things about their customer service. The only reason I have a fitbit is because on April 24 (a Tuesday), my husband sent his old Omron pedometer through the wash and destroyed it. I recommended that he replace it with a fitbit. The following day he went out and bought one. The day after that he bought one for me. It was love at first sight.

The following weekend, my husband proceeded to lose his. He is a referee in three sports and was working at a lacrosse tournament. He is used to putting the pedometer in his pocket because the Omron was so clunky that he was not supposed to wear something like that on his waist. All the sudden his fitbit was missing. He searched extensively with help from several others, to no avail. So he blew threw two pedometers in less than a week.

At my suggestion, he sent an email to fitbit, but he did not get a response. I suspected that they would have replaced it if he had bought it directly from them, but since he bought it in a retail store that they would not.

Fast forward a few weeks. He sent a follow-up email to fitbit. They responded with a case number. The next day, they said they would replace it at no charge!! They just asked him a few questions (i.e. where he bought it and when). I believe he will be receiving the replacement today.

It is great to work with a company that totally stands behind its product.

Wonderful customer service. I bought my fitbit on May 4th and for some reason now I have to jiggle it in order for hit to register on the base. I wrote them and within a half hour I got a response. they helped me out and also told them to keep them updated because if it stops working they will take care of it. I give them 100% plus 5 stars

I turn 76 in August and 6 days later we have our 57th wedding anniversary.
We met and started dating when I was 16 and he was 18. We lived around the corner from each other, 10 houses apart.

He will be 78 in October. We still enjoy good health, and are best friends along with all the other good stuff that comes with long enjoyable marriages.

He sleeps much better than I do. And he can take naps and still sleep at night. Not me.

It's great to be in our golden years and still active. You and I are indeed blessed.

Oh, good, Jean. I'm glad you are using your Fitbit sleep measure too. Now, that i'm also working on my Cpap and getting a mask to fit me well, I AM doing better. 6 hrs 43 min last night! I'm so glad the active numbers are finally fixed from percent to hours.

My friend and I have been friends since the 3rd grade and we are 71, almost 72 in August, 5 days apart. I'm the oldest. emoticon

That has to be really special to have a Fitbit friend in this together with you. Way to go.

Even when I think I am sleeping well, Fitbit still records some wakefulness. It is an education.

I'm so excited over my Fitbit. At first I didn't think it was the Ultra, but it was. That was wonderful news too. Both my friend and I have had trouble with it counting the flights of stairs. I find that if I really exaggerate my movement when going upstairs, it will usually count them. My friend zips up 3 flights of stairs in her house and it never counts it. Weird. We've both contacted Customer Service. I've had super success. She still can't get hers to work.

I'm most excited over the sleeping feature. I 'felt' like this was the way I was 'sleeping' but now it's been confirmed. This same friend and I have races to see who gets the best sleep each night. Her husband just had knee surgery, so she hasn't been getting much sleep at all, but it's still fun to compare.

I am positively thrilled to learn of their excellent customer service.

I lost mine when dog walking a couple of weeks back and truly panicked. I was experimenting with wearing my Fitbit on my waist instead of my bra, and I knocked it off. My dear husband calmed my tears by offering me a new one for Mother's Day because I am so addicted to mine. Instead I finally found it that afternoon.

It is marvelous to know that Fitbit stands behind even dumb blunders. I found mine, but am thrilled to learn they would have stepped in for me.

It won't register on the stepping machine. It gets flights by elevation - 10 feet of elevation = 1 floor. Bummer, huh?!?

So far I am pleased with my FITBIT too.....interesting to see what it says about my sleeping!!!
Certainly challenges me to get in more steps.

I just wish it would record my stepping machine....correctly. Climbed 41 floors, but this didn't register...odd.

That's awesome, Raul! How old was your Fitbit? I don't even think you had an ultra..now you will!

As you know my 5 month old Fitbit cracked and they sent me a new one right away!

Fitbit service is quite amazing. As I have said before, I don't know how they can afford to do some of the replacements they do. I have heard stories of people who have had theirs replaced for free after losing them. Mine was replaced at the end of last year after my Classic broke in two while I slept. They sent me an Ultra and never made me send the old one back - I just had to send photos of the old one. They really are awesome!

When I ordered my FitBit (through their website), I wanted a second base, that way I could keep one at home and one at work. I couldn't find a way online to purchase a second base, so I called and asked. Instead of making me buy a second base (which I would've paid for), they mailed me one for free. I was pretty excited about that!

So happy there is a company with good customer service out there.

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

Please use this forum to discuss your experience (positive or negative) with FitBit.com

I recently had the pleasure of contacting FB's customer service with regards to a dimness issue for my 2 year old FB. First of all, they responded the day after I sent my initial email. They advised me to reset the FB in hopes that this would solve the dimness issue, i.e., I am unable to read the FB screen, even in a dark room!). Unfortunately the reset did not solve my issue. I replied to FB customer service expecting to be told that due to age of my FB there would be nothing that could be done for me. Lo and behold (I love using that phrase!) I received a response earlier today that a complimentary replacement FB would be sent to me!!!! How awesome is this I ask you! This company has one of the best Customer Service departments I have ever had the pleasure of working with (and I have worked with many).

I LOVE THIS COMPANY!
