Please (any and all) add me as your friend - this is my start over 1st day ....again .... so my stats are starting here and now. I think one of my challenges has been solitude ... I would welcome camaraderie!

I got my FitBit for Christmas. Love it. I average about 8500 steps per week and several times had over 10,000. Too much snow in Kansas City to get out an walk so most of my steps are at work. I average about 7 hours of sleep and hits the stairs in the parking garage. Keep it up. Warm weather is coming and walking is a cheap exercise!

I'd like some Fitbit friends, too! I am trying to get 10,000 steps a day and lose about 1 lb. a week. Have 25 to go! My URL is:
I have a question for you all. What types of activities do you all do that will pick up on your fitbit? The reason why I ask is that it doesnt register when I am using the stationary bike. Of course it will with walking and running. Ideas anyone?
Just got cleared to go back to my life after breaking my neck and have been on bed rest for 2 years. Looking for friends to keep me motivated and moving to help get rid of those extra pounds that I gained.

Hi all, I have been using my Flex since Christmas! It has been a good way to keep up my movement on a consistent basis. I enjoy the friendly competition as well! I would like to have some more friends to compete with! The encouragement of others helps I think :-) www.fitbit.com/user/29PLPV

I've been using my Fit Bit for about a month now..always looking for friends to cheer and compete with. My personal goal is to stay on my top 10 list..I have some crazy people on my list so I doubt I will ever get in the top 5 but I can try and keep trying.
I have been dealing with Graves Disease since late summer and had radioiodine to destroy my thyroid at the end of December. I'm just now able to get back into walking and exercising.

I think to get someone as a friend, you need to list your fitbit url (mine is:http://www.fitbit.com/user/25Q7VV) and then anyone can go to your profile and send you a friend-request.
Hope that makes sense :-)

I'm working on the morning thing, too. I like my sleep as well. This morning, the pillow won and I slept in the extra hour. The last 2 days, I made it, tho. Friday nights are movie nights in our house so I never get a workout on Friday evenings. That's usually enough incentive to get me up Friday mornings --- no opportunity to make it up later.

I really want to work on being a morning person and getting some workout in before I go to work. I just really love my sleep!

Ginger - LOL!! I share an office and am sure my office mate would think I was batty if I got one of those desk treadmills or something of that nature. Our office is really only big enough for one person but we managed to squeeze 2 L-shaped desks in here in opposite corners. If we back up at the same time, we bump.
When I'm good (I'm getting better), I get up at 4:30 to walk on a treadmill I just bought through Craigslist for $100. I should walk at lunch but prefer to read my Kindle. After work, hubby and I walk unless he's too tired (last night he went to bed at 8 because he had to get up at 2am this morning for work). Normally, I help kids with homework and we have dinner before the walk so we walk out the door at 8. Didn't happen yesterday.
I have opportunity to walk 3x a day, but I don't always use it. After adding several of you to my friends list on FB, I'm hopeful that will be the extra incentive I need to use those opportunities.
