If your hotel/home is some distance away then pack comfy shoes or flip flops to change into. Also some like to have a change of clothes. Almost all races have food at the finish line, but if you aren't fond of bagels, bananas and other snacky foods, bring some of your own, just nothing that smashes. A damp washcloth to wipe your face is nice to have, just put it in a ziploc bag. Ibuprofen is also a nice thing to have at the end of a race to start reducing any inflamation.
Good luck on your race ladies. You'll do just great!

I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.
- Helen Keller
Don't look at life as "you have to," view it as "you get to." It puts the fun back in things.
