I prefer certain farmers' markets to others, since some have real farmers and others have re-sellers. In my area, it is sometimes hard to meet an actual farmer, since the markets are plentiful and there are so many markets to attend. I don't usually buy organic cosmetics or non-food items, I try to make things myself so I can control what goes into them.

The only one of these companies I buy items from is Kiss My Face and I only but there Pure Olive Oil Bar Soap. It has only Saponified Olive Oil, Water, and Sodium Chloride in it. I've know since buying it several years ago, that it wasn't organic. I guess if I assumed it was organic and found out later that it wasn't, then I would be pretty upset right now.

Thank you for this information. I find it difficult to trust that any products labeled organic truly are.

Great link, and also glad to know how to tell if I'm buying gmo produce when I can't get organic!

HOW TO TELL IF YOUR PRODUCE IS GENETICALLY MODIFIED:
For fresh produce, there are three types you can choose from. There are organic, conventional and genetically modified. Most organic food is labeled as such, but there really is no way to know if that apple is conventional or genetically modified. Or is there? Itís in the code. The numbers on the sticker either begin with a 4, 8, 5 or 9. Nine is organic, 4 is conventional, and 8 or 5 is genetically modified. So always look at the little sticker on the apples, tomatoes, bananas, etc., and make sure it starts with a 9 or a 4. Stay clear of 8 and 5. The code on my Braeburn apple is 4103, so itís a conventional apple.

I woke up from a beautiful dream and found out I was NOT Oprah!! I had to clean (no maid) AND cook (no chef)!!! Life can be a bummer!! LOL I think they call it exercise!!!

Thanks! I'd like the same outrage for unscented products that aren't. That one really gets me mad.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when itís a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, theyíre terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
