Greta Groovy, my son has Chronic Hepatitis C, which is a disease of the liver. He and i have to eat very similar things. He had to cut down on his meat , eat more veggies and fish. Watch his iron intake, which includes vitamins with iron, we do not cook in iron skillets for his food. I can have iron , where he cant. Watch his caffeine intake, and drink water. He does not have to watch his liquid intake as i do. We both eat organic foods and stay away from high fructose corn syrup. I dont know any thing about Cirrhosis of the Liver, but Chronic Hep. C is not curable. He also is like me with CKD, he can only use Tylenol and only if he cant stand the pain. Most meds. he can not take also. He describes the Liver as the Garbage Disposal for the body. His little joke.LOL. It filters things like our Kidneys do, but each has its own things it filters. NO ALCOHOL AT ALL. He is like me neither one of us eats fast foods because of all the junk they put in it. I never did eat fast foods, dont like them. I hope this might help, i would think this person could also ask his Dr. for help on the food issue. C
Im starting to take control of my life today. I will take care of me, love my self., be good to my self, I am strong, i can do this.
I have a question for you and not sure if I can ask this here? I have a friend with Cirrhosis of the Liver and wondered since the kidney and liver are close and there isn't any teams for Liver conditions if you could recommend some reliable information about this condition and if there is a better eating plan that is highly recommend for one with this condition? Thank you I appreciate your time .
