Many of you may know Marie Repec as a former renal dietitian who now works for Genzyme. Most of you don’t know that Marie is a world class athlete. This October she will compete in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. In this event the participants swim 2.4 miles in the open ocean, ride a bike for 112 miles and then run a 26.2 mile marathon race. Marie has done all this in less than 11 hours!!!
This year, Marie has partnered with the Janus Charity Challenge Foundation to raise funds for the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) in her Ironman Championship competition. A flyer and a list of frequently asked questions is attached. I am asking you to support Marie and NKFM. You can donate in 2 ways.
