I think most importantly SP has kept me accountable and in check with my goals; whether they are health related, personal or professional goals. Since becoming a member SP has helped me to better myself through the help of others! Theres alot of good advice out there. It is a nice stress reliever sometimes and I appreciate the atmosphere that SP creates.
I've lost 25 pounds since April 2010. I joined Spark that month I believe. I had already adjusted my eating habits and was working out fairly regularly. Spark has been good for me for venting and for friendships. I've had one major depressive episode because of our finances and not gained the weight back due to being able to talk about it here. I'll admit I haven't tracked as regularly since then and I'm sure my fitnes activity has been decreased, but I'm still here and still working at it.
I've got a minimum of 15 more pounds to lose, would prefer it to be the 28 that I have on my tracker, but we will see. I'm okay with the way I look now, but would be ecstatic to be back at pre-baby weight (my youngest is 20). That way I can be a hot 47 year old grandmother.
I'm down in weight. I was already eating healthy before here. I don't calculate much on here. I am here for friends and learning new healthy ways of living. I want to hear from real people with real struggles and how this or that is working for them. I don't want to hear much from anyone who gets a paycheck for their good or bad info they have to offer. I hardly read any articles on here unless it is from a normal poster and not some person who holds some fitness title.

You are so right about Sparkpeople... a place to be yourself without fear of judgement... there is a certain freedom in that rarely found these days....
I have dropped 4 of my BP medications, beat Diabetes and lost 48 pounds since starting my journey in Feb 2010.... fell and blew out my knee in October .. had surgery in November.... been unable to workout since... have maintained my weight ... though not quite sure how?..... I would have to say that tracking my food and spending time Sparking has been a great contributor to that..... I have been in Physical Therapy for a while... hope to be released to workout Monday... Oh... that is tomorrow... HOPE....HOPE....HOPE!!.... LOL
I have 28 pounds to go to get to my goal.... will decide when I get there if that is enough... don't want to be a bean pole... just healthy and energetic...
I've gained 30 pounds since I joined, now wait don't get me wrong Spark is great, I just haven't been using all the tools and giving 100% the whole time I've been on here. I can say that spark is a great stress reliever...I'm serious it really helps me wind down after a crappy day.
Progress, weight I've gained...I've made tons of friends and found a new home:)
Tell me about your progress!

If I keep saying "I'll do it tomorrow" I'll only be looking back at alot of wasted yesterdays!
