I just LOVE sugar buns! Ack! I ate half just now, but in my defense, I did go to Starbucks and only had a chicken and cranberry sandwich on whole wheat bread with a cup of iced water. No sugar and fat laden fraps!

Wow... This seemed to drop off... sigh. I think it is a great idea. Anyone want to revive it with me?
30 days of no sugar!
No sodas, candy, cookies, brownies, cake, pie, sweet muffins, donuts, etc.

Are you up to the challenge!? No sugar until Friday June 7th!

I know myself and I DO have chocolate cravings that I have learned to give into or I end up eating way too many other calories that don't satisfy it... So, I will allow myself no more than one chocolate treat a week. And it will be 2 squares of dark chocolate only.

Let's do this thing! Don't leave me out here all alone!

I didn't quite make it to Halloween for the sugar challenge. I had a 17 day streak of healthy eating and then ate Pizza Hut. Once I did this, it seemed like it was over for me. I had sugar everyday since.

I am ready to get back to the Sugar Challenge for November. Count me in!

In his defense, it was 6 mini boxes....so there's only like 4 in there. I'm not a huge fan - too hard to chew! Your treat day treat sounds delicious!

Everyone - it's a new month!!! My goal - no sugar til Thanksgiving - Gotta have my pumpkin pie!!! I can definitely tell a difference in my stomach! (and my cravings are going away)

Good Lord! 6 boxes! how cute! Do you like milk duds, tho?

Count me in too! No problem for me, if I ever take coffee in the morning, it's without sugar, but sometimes I do take it with creamer.

Today was my treat day, I had tofu custard (tau foo fah in Cantonese). You probably can get it in Chinatown, I had mine with gula melaka, a kind of coconut sugar from Malacca.

Haha, I was asleep :) He DID, however, eat a Reese's in front of my face! Ultimate torture! It didn't really phase me though...if other people know about it, I'm like, bahaha, I'll show you!

NICE HOLLY!! That is awesome!! I've been 1 week and a half without sugar (obviously had my cheat day, but only had one treat :) ) I LOVE it! (And found out my hubby ate 6 mini boxes of milk duds while I was asleep. Funny guy)

Still going strong. It has been 6 days without candy, cakes, cookies, etc. I have even gone 6 days without chips!!! I am not even craving any and passed up the opportunity a few times. I have gone almost 30 days without soda too. I am on a roll. LOL.

Welcome to the challenge Spartaa and thanks for the info! That really does help to visualize how much you're actually eating! Good job, Holly255255! Today is my one sugar treat day, and i had French toast with syrup. Totally worth it. Candy bars, seriously, aren't even tempting for me anymore. They just taste fake lol. 1 week almost down, doing great!

I am in for this challenge. I have been reading labels for sugar content, and 1 teaspoon of sugar = 4 grams. Good to know. I picture those individual teaspoons of sugar and that is a lot of sugar in some of the things I have been eating.

Splenda's fine! Just don't overdo it:) And if having only ONE treat a day is challenge for you, go for it! The goal is to improve ourselves. Babysteps.

I definitely know all about temptations at work! As a teacher I have students and other teachers bringing me candy and the dangerous teacher's lounge. I've found that if my husband knows I'm doing it, he's good at helping me stick to it (and occasionally tempting me with a reese's, which only makes me STRONGER! He's not going to get me!)

Just thought of a question- what about Splenda? I put this in my coffee each morning.

This is my problem, I want to be able to do this, but can't get my mind set there to do it seriously and keep to it. I have a problem with temptation too. DH brings snacks in and I sometimes can't kep my will power up to save me. I could problem do it if I could have one treat a DAY. I'm so bad. emoticon

I have found that my stomach is flatter when I limit my refined sugar intake! I went 30 days without sugar last October and noticed a HUGE difference in my stomach (and even some ab definition!)

Who wants to join me on a challenge?? I'm going to do NO sugar (soda, baked goods, candy) except one treat one day a week (I'm having my treat on Saturdays, pick whichever you want). Let's do it for the rest of October and see what happens! Who's with me?!
