my mom made the most wonderful soup when I was growing up and I loved it when we were in the kitchen as I learned this family recipe. She called it poor man soup because when my parents first started out they could only afford hamburger, and potatoes, then she made small noodle dumplings. Feeling the warm memories each time I have a bowl of this soup makes it my favorite.

just made the most amazing soup from splendid table n.p.r. Sugar pumpkins filled with veggie stew with chipotle cream. Not the best calorie count but for a treat the flavor is wonderful and it makes a fantastic presentation! the small 1 lb pie pumpkins are still avalible so plan a fancy soup dinner!
i have a weakness for chowders, i also like creamy soups like pumpkin soup, i also like hot soups like tom yum, hot and spicy and laksas. and those quick 2 minute noddles soups. My husband got me into Mustard soup too.
