Hello. My name is Karenne. I am 41 and need to lose about 40 pounds. I am 5'4" and weigh 168 pounds,as of today. My goal is to weigh 125 to 130 pounds. I will set a weekly goal of losing 1 to 2 pounds. I hope to lose it all by December 2007, but April 2008 is more realistic.
I am happy to be a part of this forum and hope to get replies back so that I can feel like part of this SparkTeam community.
I just joined spark people recently. I have between 40 - 45 lbs to lose. I've been heavy my whole life and making healthy choices has been a huge challenge. I have an extreme amount of stress in my life right now and only eat because I have to at the moment. My stress levels make it so I'm not hungry...which is not typical for me. However, I'm not necessarily making good choices when I do eat. I just eat what I have at home.
Anyway...if I'm going to go through the stress, I might as well make things right with my health. I see my family have health consequences for their weight issues and I don't want to be in the same boat.

Welcome to the group. I have been absent for the past month or even longer as I have been busier at work due to a partial promotion (meaning more responsibilty for the same money) and haven't even had the time or the energy to really do a whole lot with any of my boards.
I am hoping that in the next couple of weeks, to make a couple of changes in my routine to help get me back on track as I seem to be back to gaining and that is completly unacceptable.
Hi everyone. I am Sunisha and I think this forum is a great idea...and just what im looking for. I have been gaining weight steadily and have embarked on some exercise programs without success (no will power to stay the course). Being a student of the information age, i spend more time infront of the pc then anywhere else. Great for my grades but ruining the figure.
I'm hoping that joining this group will help me keep motivated to eat, sleep and work out better. Right now i weigh 76kg (i think thats 167 pounds)and i want to drop to and stay at 60kg by July 11th (my Bday).
