Yeah, I didn't take steroids either. Two of the meds had weight gain as a possible side effect. I didn't eat 'diet' food during chemo- but didn't really get too crazy, other than eating three times a day which isn't my norm. I live alone, so no need to cook for anybody. Now, I'm just hoping to get rid of this tonnage. :/
I thought I'd get 'skinny chemo'- I got the fat stuff ! But at least I'm alive to whine about it !!

congrats to you - I lost 60 pounds to go to transplant and another 40 during the transplant...but that 40 has come back and I really need to lose 25 of it - I wasnt on immune suppressants or steroids, so I didn't gain weight during the process...but I had 7 months of mouth sores that prevented me from eating...once those were gone and food started to taste good, I began eating more than I should have and not exercising enough...I was LIVING LIFE LARGE and so glad to be doing it...now I'm trying (albeit, not too hard) to get back to a routine of eating right and exercising - thanks for your comments
I am 47 year old female who is 20 months post transplant for CML (chronic myelogenous leukemia) I had a Haplo transplant (using my 1/2 matched sister's cells) I am doing well but need to lose about 25 pounds...I am new to this site and all that it offers...would appreciate any help from those who have been using this site for awhile!
