My last two bike rides on the rail trail with my grandson, he found a dollar each time! I'm so new to this so I haven't ridden on many trails. A few years ago I rode off road on the "John Muir" trail. The trail prize on that ride was surviving it! I had no idea what I was getting into. In some parts the trail was nothing more than a 6 inch rut! The real payoff though was some breathtaking views.

1st goal 255# MET 2/20/12 (Update: Met this goal but now have gained the weight back so it is now a goal once again)
2nd goal 205#
3rd goal 155#

"Gonna be that skinny chick at the gym running on the treadmill!"

Nothing positive...
moose and horse droppings, single gloves lost during the X country ski season, bear bells, and a hornet nest... empty thank goodness.

my sanity and health. a few dried up ears of corn, a dime a few days ago. and a leather tag from a Coach bag.
several years ago when we lived in the desert, a condor dropped a baby bunny right in front of us. we brought it home with us and nursed it back to health and turned it loose when i was ready.

Don't complain about the results you didn't get for the fitness you didn't do!

I found a "domesticated" long-eared black & white rabbit. I think the owner was trying to find it a "new home" and thought it could survive in the wild. We brought it to the animal shelter.

We cover a lot of different terrain with road, recreational, and mountain biking. Safety requires scanning ahead for debris, hazards, etc. Some cool things we have found en route - Topeak White Lite headlight, big Allen wrench, gorgeous fluffy black kitten to name a few. "Marco" (yes, Pantani as named by daughter) is hands-down the best. He rode 15-ish miles back home with us in an old pannier.
What are some of the cool or useful items you've found in your adventures? Miles and fitness are great; "trail prizes" just make it a bit more fun & interesting. emoticon
