Feeling good. Just walk/jogged for 25 minutes today in this beautiful fall weather and did 20 minutes of Zumba on the wii. Can't wait for the movie. Just hoping we can find a babysitter(probably the grandparents) for our little one.emoticon

Ha boy have I changed.. after I took out my daily amount there was only enough cottage cheese left in my carton for half portion.. old me would have just finished it off.. new me took a spoon full from my dish and put it back so that tomorrow I can have the same amount as today.. lol old me would not of been eating fat free cottage cheese ....But hey.. I have learned to love many new things.. Did not like yogurt let alone fat free yogurt.. now I eat it almost every day the Greek kind. to boot. WOW, WOW, WOW I am proof positive that we can change what taste good to us .. I have learned to eat so many things I would never have chosen before., but now I want them.. I enjoy them and they are my go to foods.

Thank goodness for my SparkPeople.com... these past 8 weeks have set me up for a wonderful future, because I have been following and tracking my food so closely these past weeks, I now know how to do it, when I don't weigh and measure.. I trust myself a lot more to go smaller not larger and that is good as I am caring for my ailing sister-in law (Liver Cancer) and family which does not always allow me the time to stop weigh and measure. My problem right now if anyone can believe it is not eating enough I have reduced my meals to smaller amounts so that I can have 3 snacks through the day and sometimes I am not getting all my snacks in. I Bought more fiber bars and Fiber One Toaster Pastry's so that will help but I will bump it up now that I am seeing a trend just another way Spark has been there for me I AM SO Thankful For this website. Sparkle On All!

I had a great workout today! I had to struggle through it, but I pushed and I made it! My eating has been well, and I'm working on my goals for March (including hitting my 4lb loss for the weight loss competition at work, no binging, getting at least 3 5K training sessions in every week, etc).

Let the Games Begin!

Lost another 3 pounds..this past week..Grand Total of (drum roll please "prudddddddd" 26 pounds in like 54 days......... Wooo Hooo. I have made it a game! I Find out ..I am an investigator.

I have looked up:
The healthiest foods for me
The healthiest Vegetables for me
The healthiest Nuts for me
The healthiest Herbs and Spices to add to my diet.
The best serving of fish
The best legumes & seeds
The best Whole Grains

Then add these items to my grocery list. A planned grocery list a new healthy grocery list that I keep on my computer the only one I now use and it has basic foods on it no processed foods..except for my Fiber One Bars lol .."I forgot my head one day and decided to let Eating Right and Fiber Plus tell me they were good for me because of the name and I DIDN'T READ THE LABLES man a mistake I wont make again". Hydrogenated oils in BOTH of them, Fiber One Bars do not! I have written Kellogg's.... oh they are trying blah, blah, blah to take it out etc. Well if Wall Mart and Fiber One can do it, so can they!!!!!!!!!!! I will be writing the Eating Right People (huh) soon.

I am trying new ways to eat these wonderful foods that nourish my body so perfectly. Kind of fun to find new ways to make foods at 53, I have always been a cook ..always made good foods or what I thought was good foods and some where ok, just fatting! Now I am making over all my recipes and with the help of Spark recipes I get to see what the nutritional value and calorie value is in my new ways.

I like games ...they help motivate me. If you like games this might work for you as well.

So... "Let the Games Begin". I am loving what it is doing for my body! Spark On.. or Sparkle! ON! LOL

I just died and went to heaven... I have a wonderful super easy pizza idea.

You will Need:
2 Large Rice Cakes ( I used the the white cheddar) = Pizza Dough
Can of rotel tomatoes w/green chilis (you can get mild if you do not like spicy) = Sauce
2/3 cup of lowfat Mozzarella Cheese (you can use fat free if you want but I like some fat LOL)
Chopped fresh garlic cloves. Any other veggies you like to add on your pizza

Drain Rotel of it juice using a strainer put the amount you want on it, there are hardly any calories in this stuff 1/2 cup only has 30 (I add some to my salads and it make my dressing go further too). Then add chopped garlic (and any other veggie) then half the cheese on each one. Put this in a toaster oven on broil for just a few minutes and ...wow, wow, wow is all I can say ....My version is only 272 calories, 22 carbs, 10 grams of fat, and 16 grams of protein. I just did this today so I'm going to play with these I think I will make up small ones using the mini rice cakes for party snakes to take when invited out. I can tell you mushrooms, bell pepper would all be good on these the key is dont use real wet tomatoes so drain the rotel well and do not leave them in long. They tasted so good I will be making these a lot I know for a fact they don't taste diet and my hubby would even like them.

I was just thinking for breakfast too with a scrambled egg crumbled on top even a few bacon crumbles yummy

Olive Garden ....It was so nice to realize I was in control today, I portioned out my more naughtier items, had a salad and chose the healthy item to share with my mom for lunch (broiled chicken in an apricot glaze with asparagus and broccoli) I did great did not have the bread sticks and I was proud of myself (I reminded myself this was a life choice and that was fine) a total of 500 calories...NICE.....now the old me would have eaten a lot more calories and I am not saying there wasn't the tiniest bit of pain morning the old me...BUT I actually felt better and felt better longer....even now still fell happy knowing I made good choices. That feel good feeling is better then feeling bad when in the past I have made those wrong choices.

I am new to the team ..just checking in to say hi.....Yeah I have 24 lbs of weight loss and only 60 pounds to go! But I only think of it at a pound at a time! so I do not care the amount to lose, as this is a new way of life so the weight loss is icing on the cake rock on team!

Today was better - although my husband has just gone out to buy chocolate (his idea not mine cos i'm apparently miserable and hell to be with ! Bloody hormones - let me down every month....)

When asked 'do you want to be thin and miserable or stay the same weight for a week and be happy..' is the right answer thin and miserable?!?!
