Thanks Cindy! Instead of going back to bed, I actually got in a workout and Sun's play time with my daughter. Now it's time to take another quick nap before having to head into work. How are the kids tonight?

Hello! So sorry for being away so long!! It's been a strange few months: being sick for over a month, and then our second round of IVF doesn't look like it's working... I had my pregnancy test yesterday, and to be pregnant the level is supposed to be at least 50, but mine was 43, so I'm probably not pregnant, but they have to repeat the test to be absolutely sure.

Patrick has been reading about how stress affects fertility, but there is not much we can do about that.

Oh well. How are you guys?

De - how do you like this new hotel?
Cindy - I need to do laundry, too

Nancy, I kind of figured that with my wrist injury since the doctor couldn't tell me what caused it and how long the recovery was. Oh well! Most of my health issues aren't explainable right now. Did it snow a lot again for you? We just flurries this morning that didn't add to what is already on the ground. Sorry you weren't able to leave the house today.

Have a great visit Cind.
De they are open ended a lot of them injuries.
I was going to watch my team bowl but since it snowed they closed schools. No school no bowling.John was going out to lunch with a couple of friends from his last work. I decided it was a little to messy to go tromping with that huge boot in the snow.

Morning ladies! emoticon

Nancy, thank you soooo much for the recipe. I am totally going to try it out. I will add it to our recipe thread. How was Kimberly's visit with her boyfriend? Does she plan on moving to Florida where he lives?

Cindy, sooo glad that Sha'vell's well I'd going will at school. What are your plans today? I plan on getting in one of my DVD's.

Joyce, sounds like your job is way too stressful for me. When do you plan on retiring? I wish I could stop working too, but that's definitely out of the question.

Yesterday I went to the hand doctor and he pretty much confirmed what the ER told me. The good thing is that I have a mild case of tendinitis, which will heal. He couldn't give me a time frame, but I just need to keep doing what I am doing. He gave me some stronger meds, which I will take starting after breakfast 3 times a day. These should help reduce the swelling quicker. I only take them for 5 days and then back to the Motrin as needed. I also purchased a smaller wrist brace to wear.

Morning all I will post it. Its very easy. Cindy last time we added hamburger.
It was good to go out right now though its only 2.
We pick Kimberly up yesterday she had gone to visit her boyfriend in Florida.
Joyce hope today is a calm day. Happy New Years to you.
De keep taking the motrin it does help.
Cindy glad you got your massage little things do make a difference.

Enchilada casserole
1 10 oz can red enchilada sauce
1 package frozen corn 12 oz
1 can refried beans 16 oz
12 soft corn tortillas
1 can black beans drained and rinsed 15 oz
1 and half cans Rotel we use mild
2 cup shredded sharp cheddar

Pre heat oven to 350 spray 13 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray. Spread half the red sauce in bottom of dish. Cook corn in microwave according to package.
Spread about half of refried beans on 6 tortillas. Place bean side up in dish over sauce overlapping to fit. Stir together remaining sauce, corn, black beans and ro-tel in large bowl. Spread half of corn mix over tortillas in dish sprinkle with cheese.
Repeat layering with the remaining refried beans and tortillas corn mix and remaining cheese.
Bake 35 minutes or until hot in center Let stand 5 minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
I usually drain the ro tel too cause I think its to lose. Really easy and like Cindy you can add any kind of meat. We also add onion.

Think about the Motrin as healing because it is. It is helping the inflammation to go down which is what decreases your pain.

Sha'vell is doing very well. This will be a full week back at school so I suspect she will be exhausted by Friday, but she seems to be enjoying.

Cindy, wishing you a restful night!! How is Sha'vell doing getting back into the swing of school?

Nancy, How did your day end? Can't wait to try your recipe that Cindy recommends.

Joyce, what do you do again? I do hope your able to catch up tomorrow. I totally remember not having enough time in a day to get everything done. That's why I stepped down from management. Sounds like you really had a fun Celebration with friends & family.

I've been wearing my brace whenever I leave the house as my reminder to becareful. My wrist reminds me as soon as 6 hours has gone by and that it's time to take another Moltrin. I'm not a medicine type person, but it looks like I'm going to have to be on these for a while. I just don't like pain and I have to use my hands/wrist. I'm trying to not stress about it, but it's not working.

Glad you were able to get some fresh air and not stuck in the house all day. Are you able to drive? Is it your right or left ankle? How's Kimberly doing?

Thanks Cindy! I'm learning about this illness slowly and have realized it's going to be a challenge figuring it out. I am trying for it to not slow me down. Even though that's what's happening.

Definitely need them every 6 hours. Take at least 2 pills each time for a while then you can drop down to 1.

Cindy, Sounds life you had an awesome day. How is Andrea and Florence doing? I have definitely noticed that I still have to take my meds every 6 hours. I tried to do every 12, but that's not working yet.

Nancy, what's the recovery time? Weather isn't too bad for winter today. How was your walk outside?

I picked up Alex from the bus stop and now I am waiting on Maya to get home. It's time to finish up homework, get sine things done around the house and head back to bed. My eyes are definitely still heavy because I only got around 3 1/2 his of sleep so far.

De you need to take the ibuprofen on a regular basis so that it will work not just when you are hurting. It will help with the inflammation, but only if you take it as directed (NO MISSED DOSES).

Had a nice visit with Andrea this morning and then my massage. Now waiting for the kids to get home and getting dinner started.

Nancy, my wrist really hurt last night while at work. I had to take my meds as soon as I got home. I can't wait for my hand appointment on Wednesday. Wow, John's recovery must really be going well if he was able to clear the snow. My drive home was great because nothing froze over night. WooHoo, to that. What are your plans for today?

Morning all.
De glad you made it to work and home safe. We had a lot of melting yesterday John was able to clean off the side walk and the driveway. But I'm sure since it got really cold again last night that it froze. Hope your wrist is feeling better soon.

My night was opposite to Saturday night, nice and quiet. I think I am really getting use to the shift/hours because the time went by pretty quickly. I will hopefully get enough rest today before the kids get home from school.

Morning Ladies! I do hope you all had a wonderful Sunday.

Joyce it's always emoticon to see youand soo glad you are feeling better after your fall. Such a drag when your not feeling 100% and you want to get things done.

Nancy, the snow was worse for me in Jersey yesterday. As I drove into PA where I work, it actually wasn't as bad. I was afraid heading home that everything was going to be frozen over, but it also wasn't too bad. Did the rain wash most of the snow away?

Cindy, How was your Sunday? I do hope the kids are ready for school in the morning. Whar are your plans.

I've been getting 8 hours of sleep the last couple of days and feel soooo much energized. I normally get 4 hours at a time and then wondered why I was always sleepy. This morning when I head home, I plan on getting 5-6 hours. I've been lazy to exercize, so this week I need to get myself moving again. Since I can't use my left wrist, I need to work my lower body.

Labs are so sweet Joyce. Enjoy him. Hope you are recovered. And glad to see you back.

De hope your night went smoothly.

Nancy I had not heard of it either. My massage therapist told me about it and then someone else heard the same thing from her chiropractor. I have been taking it for about 6 weeks and I no longer need my daily ibuprofen so it has worked for me.

Morning Ladies!! They are calling for more snow, rain and ice tonight into Sunday. I'm not looking forward to having to drive in it. As long as I make it safely to work and back home. I was going to get in my workout again today, but I opted to sleep. Then the kids came home from school and I went to Alex's basketball game. Then I tried going back to sleep for a short nap, but my son kept banging. He claimed he wasn't able to sleep. So, I just layed there frustrated.

Wishing you all a day filled with Sunshine emoticon

Thanks Cindy, I'm going to check it out. I'm going to stay positive and make this work. My appointment is on Wednesday with the hand doctor. I cancelled my trainer until I hear what the doctor says.

It's freezing cold and I totally can't wait until Spring arrives. With the hotels being sold, this is my last night working at this particular hotel. I will located at the other 2 properties, which isn't too much of a change.

Thanks Cindy! I am trying not to stop what I am doing. I am just sooo use to lifting weights which involves my hands. I am also use to getting in the ground to do things life pushups and plank, which totally uses an strength. I know how important strength training is for my body. It's just hard for me to process.

You can do some strength that does not involve your hands. Don't lose ground because of this injury.

Cool, thanks Cindy! What are your plans for today?

Nancy, are you able to stay Iv from the snow?

Luckily, I have been off the last couple of days and didn't have to go out. Hubby took care of the kids, which helped a lot. My wrist is still not 100%, but that's expected. The good thing is that the meds are definitely helping with reducing the pain and inflammation. It's time to get back into my workouts, but all cardio without the strength training.

Nancy, oh my! I do hope your recovery goes smoothly. I wish I could stay inside longer it's soooooo cold outside.

Kids are back to school, so my after school running around begins again. The meds are starting to kick in because I am able to do more with my left arm. It still reminds me that it's not 100%. Such a drag being one handed, but thankful it's just a brace and not a cast.

We got a few inches, but it was very slick. I stayed in all day. Hoping to get out later today when my nurse arrives.

Morning all a bright snowy day.
De we had a little trouble with the stove last night were the fire went up in to the hopper which is not good that is where all the pellets are stored. Yikes woke me up cause I could smell it. So John will be fixing sooner. I hope you feeling better and it a quick heal. wish you could see the awesome hand doctor here is great. Im guessing we got about 4 or 5 inches I can't really tell. They are to lay the carpet in the basement today but we will see. Gilligan also needs his hair cut but they are not answering the phone yet. Neck is really stiff today and Im trying to use the desk top my iPad needs recharging.
Cindy I hope the snow did not mess things up to much. How is that little cutie Miss Sha'vell doing?
Woo Hoo De on the 2 pounds.

Nancy, such awesome news that John's recovery is going smoothly. He's definitely a fighter and determined to get back to normal routine. hopefully, your stove makes it through the winter for you guys. such a drag when something breaks unexpected.

Cindy, how many inches did you get? Hopefully, it doesn't slow you down. Where you able to get everything accomplished.

Since Wednesday my wrist has been acting up when pressure applied. Yesterday morning I took an Aleve i hopes the pain will go away. Instead I woke up in more pain and swelling. I ended up going to the ER to find out I have Tendinitis in my left wrist. I had to callout from work, which takes a lot for me to do. The doctors put me in an arm brace and gave me meds. I now have to schedule an appointment to see a hand doctor. I pray that recovery isn't too long. I have to now call my trainer to see what we can do. I might have to stop for a little while. We shall see. I took out my laptop to see how my typing is. I feel like a beginner since I am typing with one finger on my left hand.

On a better note, I lost 2 pounds this week!! emoticon Wishing you all a wonderful day! We are snowed in. emoticon

It's started to snow now they are calling for 10 inches. So John and I are on our way to the like every nut in the county and he say I think I can use the shower thrower with one hand!!! We together brought the generator down from the shed. He's out getting gas so it should be a light snow since everything is taken care of. He had PT today with a different girl and she thinks he's doing really well for only three weeks. He will have his regular guy on Wednesday. He's doing quite well and quite bored.
Yikes the pellet stove is really groaning I hope it makes it the rest of the winter. John going to replace the augers on before next winter.
De hope you had a restful day.
Cindy hope it's not yoo messy.

We got some snow last night. A few inches, so enough to make a mess.

Very cold here as well.

Morning all quite chilly here.
De how nice of Harold to fix everything for you. John and I didn't do much we had a heart shaped steak for dinner. Was very yummy and a baked potato. Went to the neighbors to see the new baby sheep so cute. Yesterday it was too cold to even go out.
Today I have a dexa scan and then I'll be back in my warm well kinda warm house.
Cindy are you getting any bad weather?

I'm excited to report that I've made it to Day #22 and heading to start my 4 weeks with eating clean. I remember struggling through Day #1 and I'm finally on the right path. Today I forced myself to get in my workout after taking the last 2 days off. It felt great to get moving again. For some reason my wrist is hurting me, which is going to stop me from doing my Insanity workouts. I don't realize how important my wrist is until it hard for me to use. This pain started about 5 days ago and I'm praying for it to go away just as quickly as it started.

Cindy, I totally hope you had a wonderful day!!

Thanks Cindy, my husband let me sleep all day long.

Harold certainly kept my Valentine's Day healthy, which I hugely appreciated. He cooked me breakfast, lunch and dinner that was delicious. I love when he keeps things nice and simple because I definitely do not need a lot to stay happy.

What did you all do for Valentine's Day?

Workout done and now my headache wants to creap back in. I am going to shower, make sure the kids have eaten and then head back to bed. For some reason, my energy levels are down. The last couple of days I had to force myself to get things done.

Cindy, I just shake my head when it comes to my Supervisors.

Nancy, sooo sorry to great about your friend. My prayers go out to his friends and family. Death is never easy to deal with. How you make it to the gym tomorrow as you plan. Sounds life you have been supper busy. Gore things slow down some for you.

Afternoon Cindy, how'd your day going so far? What are you guys up to today?

Elle, how are you doing?

Jay, I do hope your doing well.

My sleep wad interrupted by my supervisor calling and it was actually a question for someone else. Oh well! I am about to get in my workout and then possibly head back to bed. I need to take something for my headache first.
