My training went really well yesterday. The air was cooler than on Tuesday so it felt more difficult to keep my breathing under control, but I was able to cut 1 minute off of my previous time!!

Today, I walked outside for 53 minutes on some trails as a calmer cardio. My knee was a little sore from yesterday so I needed a day off from running. I'm trying to stick to running every other day.

I agree, I would much rather be outside than on my treadmill or in a gym!

I came home tonight thinking that I didn't want to walk, but my husband was ready to go out. So that's what we did. Walked 60 minutes and it wasn't too cold.

How did your training go today? I love walking outdoors much more than being in the basement on the treadmill. Today there was a cold wind out of the NW at 20-30 mph, but I still was able to walk. We did 53 minutes on the trails which included some inclines and ice. The ice wasn't fun, but it won't be long and we will no longer have to contend with that pesky stuff.

Yesterday must have been a great day for a break. I did not get out either. My legs were still sore from my run the day before so I took a day of rest. I'm feeling good today and am planning to do the same interval training as Tuesday. I run around a reservoir in my town that has a trail around it. 2 laps around is almost exactly 3.1 miles. The trail is not flat either so I get a better workout than running on a track or treadmill.

Way to go on your interval training. I hope you can do your 5K this fall! No exercise for me today, had a meeting. But will be back out tomorrow.

Today I tried some interval training. I am hoping to do well in running my first 5K in the Fall. I trained 1 minute walking and 3 minutes jogging for 40 minutes.

I burned 405 calories and feel really good....worn out, but good!

I'll track my exercise with you.
3-4- I did 120 minutes of walking, 60 minutes outside, 60 on treadmill
3-5- 90 minutes-30 on treadmill and 60 outdoors

Way to go on that weight loss!

Does anyone want to keep track of their daily/weekly routines to be more healthy? It would help me a lot to have the support of others in doing this. I am more motivated by seeing that others are doing the same thing.

I lost 2 pounds in the past week by walking on a treadmill and doing an elliptical at the gym for 1 day; walking/running outside for 2 days; and watching/tracking my food and water intake. I'm very happy with this outcome and plan to continue it.
