I got in about 7 hours last night. Went to bed around 11 and my bladder woke me up around 6:30. If it hadn't been so light I would have gone back to sleep.

Well, I slept 2 hrs later then the last 2 mornings. Istead of being up at 3ish I was up at 5:30. I slept from 9 last night until then, the next 4 nights are going to be difficult. My hubbys going to be home, he's taking 2 vacation days so he will be off 4 night. I just get used to him being home at night and the next night he goes to work. Its aggrivating, I try to manage the best I can...anyway have a good day and night ladies!

After a rough night the night before and grocery shopping for the mil (went to 3 different stores to get all the things she likes), I was whipped by 9PM. Went to bed around 9:30 and fell asleep around 10. I didn't wake up until the hubby got up at 9:15. Good night.
I'm not sure if the leg cramps are from lack of potassium or if it's stress, but I bought another bunch of bananas yesterday and had one this morning with breakfast. We'll see how it goes.

I managed to sleep from 10 last night until 3:45 this morning. Was up for a bit then fell back to sleep until 5:30. Wishing I didn't have to get up with the kids for school, but only 1 more day until summer vacation...have a good one!

sorry abouat the leg cramps. Geting enough potassium?

I got to bed around 10pm that was good for me. LOL I am usually later trying to get earlier since I am up about 505 or 515, sometimes 530 lol (that is pushing it!) to be in work by 700. I must leave by 620 or late!

I was still up for weight but had some popcorn and tomatoes and those I guess do not agree with me.

Going to bed on time seems to be easy. Staying asleep or sleeping throughout the night appears to be harder.
Went to bed at my regular time, but it took a couple of hours to fall asleep. Then shot out of bed five hours later with leg cramps. That was it for the night. Grrrrr

Okay, this was a hard one to tally-up! I think everyone is doing a great job being in bed on-time! I think STAYING asleep is the problem for many of us, which unfortunately, comes with this time in life!

I found it hard to count because some of you felt it wasn't a met goal because of the QUALITY of sleep you had or didn't have. So, keep that in mind when you see my results!

For week 2, which begins tonight, please post emoticon for each night you go to bed within 30 minutes of your planned time. I think we should still post quality of sleep, it might help us improve.

Great job on getting to bed on time, ladies! You are doing your part!

I will give a first week recap later today, for those who are competitive!

I am curious, have you learned anything this week about your sleep? Decided to change anything? Post it with your bedtime goal. You can just use the emoticon if you'd rather or in addition to your post. We might be able to spark someone else with our comments!

I'm getting caught up on my sleep. I've been going to bed by 10 - 10:30 every night. And now I don't have to get up early for jury duty or anything else and the worries are gone (knock on wood). I agree with Patrice, going to bed early is a wonderful time to snuggle and catch up on husband/wife time. emoticon

Shut down the final TedTalk at 10:39, which is the first time I've headed to bed this early in months! Hubby and I were awake for almost another hour talking and... which may be another delightful side-effect of crawling in early!

We are working on our house these days, which makes me tired. That makes for easy falling to sleep & staying asleep. Sometimes. emoticon I slept pretty good last night. I was up very early, but, that's ok. Our kitchen is under construction today....so I needed to be up early.

Another bad night for me too, lots of pain, moved to the downstairs where it's cooler, read until sleepy, fell asleep about 11, woke at 3:30, read, back to sleep after 4, woke when my husband got up at 7.

Anyone else have trouble sleeping after mid-cycle? It's like after ovulation my sleep falls apart!

Last night, or rather this morning was bad. Went to bed a little after 10 and read for a few minutes. Heard my hubby come in, but never woke up. Woke up at 4 and never got back to sleep. Gave up around 6:45. I have gotten a lot done, but I really could have used that sleep. emoticon

Last night I failed miserably! I had fallen asleep at 9, woke up at 10 when my hubby came home from going to see somebody about getting another calf. Was awake until almost 11:30, fell asleep on the couch until 3 am, then went in the bedroom and fell off again until 4:30. I figured what was the point after all that. I've also missed my tom. I'm on day 36 of my cycle. First for me since I've gotten my tubes tied, has me scared thinking I'm pregnant. My grandmother just stopped when she was 35, not sure if that's what's happening to me or not. Tonight might be better I hope.

Glad you are commiting to the challenge!

I too, have heard that screen time, computer or tv before bed can interrupt sleep. FYI, I was told that stopping all chores, paperwork etc. a minimum of one hour before bed can help ease us into sleep. How many of us are doing that last chore before we climb into bed?

I, too, would like to hop in on this challenge, for the last two weeks. :)

TV is not my nemisis, but the Internet is! I've read a number of times that staring at a screen just before bed makes it harder to get to sleep, yet that's usually my pattern. There are many nights when I get caught up until wee hours (which is possible only because I don't have a "real job"); however, I know it's not healthy.

So, I'm committing to getting off the Internet by 10:30, and heading for bed.
Thanks for helping, everyone!

Lack of sleep the night before sent me to bed an hour earlier than usual (I was sooooo cranky). Slept through the night and woke up at my usual time.

Charitie, you are right on time! Join in! The goal is to be in bed, ready to sleep at a regular time, within 30 minutes is fine.

I was in bed on time, fell asleep fine. Woke hot, in pain and just uncomfortable at 3. Moved to the downstairs guest room and read until I got sleepy about 4:30, slept until 7:30.
