A Discussion on Comfort, Part 3
Taken from and inspired by, "The Book of Comforts" by Alexander and Burgos”
What do we do about needing comfort?
It seems that during this Season in our life, we may be needing more comfort. Hence the topic.
EATING comfort foods is not the ONLY thing we can do.
Enjoy small gifts that cheer you up.
One lady, I read about, purchased little, inexpensive gifts for herself, wrapped them and placed them all together under her bed. When she needed a pick-up, she’d unwrap one of the gifts.
Another example is the Intangible gifts; to look for something out in our world, that could cheer us up. One friend saw raindrops on tree leaves that looked like tiny diamonds. It brought her immeasurable joy seeing them.
What works for you?. We may learn from you.
