Hi Dee, I have a bit of a prolapsed uterus, but nothing serious, no pain nothing like that. My daughter, who is a nurse, says sometimes it looks like a nose at the opening of your vagina. I have nothing at all like that. When I have seen the gynaecologist in the past, he's told me that someday, I'm looking at a hysterectomy. If I can avoid that, I'd sure like to. your uterus is there for a reason. It does help to hold up the bladder.
I'm so sorry that you had so much pain..it does sound awful. I do hope you get the best possible care, and that everything will end up to be fine.

I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties. This sounds quite serious. I hope you are able to sort through your options with a caring group of physicians.
Perhaps this SP article will provide more information for you: www.sparkpeople.com/resource/health_

Best of luck to you.

I am so sorry to hear about your prolapse! It is actually not all that uncommon. They used to sell things through Sears catalogs years and years ago that were placed up there to hold it in. I am so glad we live now!!! There are several surgeries for that and I pray your doctor will pick the right one for you and that you will heal quickly.

No sorry it hasn't happened to me. I have had a hysterectomy and take your time getting better. You only get one chance to heal! Keep us updated!
I have heard of this happening to other ladies, and they have all said that they had to have surgery to basically sew it back up inside. I don't know the procedure at all. This is all I've heard about taking care of this. Yes, keep us updated on how your doing and what they decide would be a way to help you.

Not sure if anyone can help me out here.
Last Sat. I went to urgent care because(this may sound graphic to some) because it felt like my insides were coming out.....he said might have been a cyst that burst and cause infestion so gave a a massive amount of anti biotics......so Monday I see my Doctor and say Please don't check me it hurts to much, he said he would let me go for now but I had to go for an ultrasound the next day ASAP.
So I get up Tuesday morning and the pain was unbearable I go to ER, he says I have uterine prolapse.
Wednesday I see an ObGyn and she says yes, ur uterus is coming out! Prolapse.........ug
So now Monday I go for the ultrasound to see if my ovaries are ok, and the 13th I see an ob gyn surgeon for a hysterectomy.
Has anyone had this or can give me any input on this? I would greatly appreciate any information.
