My first 5K was a month ago and tomorrow will be my first 10K, on a timed 90 minute course. I AM FREAKING OUT! Up until a week ago I knew I could do it, in fact I fought to prove I could when neigh-sayers after my 5K said I shouldn't due to hip soreness (which turned out to be crap shoes), but as the hours tick away I find myself terrified of finishing without a finish line. I know that what matters is finishing, but honestly it would destroy my head if I didn't make it in time. I run a 13 min mile, so I should do it in 1:22, but there are a lot of women running and that could cause slowness... We will see I guess.
