I've plantar fasciitis, so running on asphalt is no option for me. Thankfully there's a track in a small forest close to where I live. It's really soft ground there so my feet will cope four laps, which is about 5K. :) Plus, it's so much more beautiful running there than in the neighbourhood. :)
I live about 15 miles north of NYC in Nyack and love to run along the Hudson River. I have my choice of a woodsy trail (lots of shade!) that runs south from Nyack and there's a state park that has a 2 mile trail right along the river close by also. They're both absolutely gorgeous and being near the water always makes me happy!
"Use what talents you possess; the woods would grow silent if no birds sang except those that sang best." Henry Van Dyke
I love running through parks, greenways and along the water. I tried running on the Pinellas Trail, and did not like that as much. There was not enough shade or breezes off the water.

I loved running on the trails when I lived in Arlington, VA. I could run from Virginia all the way to Maryland, through DC on trails. Custis trail, C&O Canal, Mt. Vernon Trail, Rockcreek parkway, the national mall, it was all great.
Now I live in a mountain valley. The running is typically either flat or steady up/steady down. I run on trails occasionally, but mostly stick to the less busy streets.
I love when I travel and there's a great running path.
I'm in Fort Worth. I run in the neighborhood mostly, but I can't wait to hit Trinity Trails when I get my mileage up again. I also like to run on this trail off Eastchase. I'm not sure if it's in Fort Worth or Arlington. Lol.
Ready to lose the weight!!

I have no doubt that we're spread all over this country... I'd like to know where you like to run? it could be a single trail in the middle of nowhere...
I live in the San Fernando Valley, CA. I love to run up Reseda Blvd in Porter Ranch. At the top is a small dirt plateau that overlooks the entire area and you can see downtown L.A. on a clear day. It's one mile uphill all the way.
