Have been married 38 years and have 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Have lived in the South for 31 years but still miss the North and its beautiful winters. Lots of weight to lose. Did well, fell off the plan, and have recently come back on after having hernia surgery. Am doing well, but feel like I am starting out on the plateau that I fell off of. Sigh. Will keep trying though. Happy to have a stationary bike to ride when it is so hot outdoors. Love all kinds of needlework, but especially enjoy sewing for my granddaughters. Hope you all have a good day.

I've taught college students at our church to sew blankets we gave to Project Linus, which was super fun. I've also helped various women in our small groups with sewing tips over the years. One of my favorite phrases is: Sewing Mends the Soul. Obviously Christ does the mending, but in my life He often uses sewing to complete the mending :-)

I made caps, mittens, and scarves for the children-teens of out church that need them and also for my family and friends. I have a lot of family and friends. - 6 children and 9 grandchildren. A lot of friends, too, who attend our local college and k-12 private school.

I've made doll clothes and doll furnature for the kids that need it and I've made dish clothes and face clothes for some adults at church that need a pic me up at christmas. I also made soap on a rope and winter hats for the boys in need at church. I love having something to make that will make someone else feel loved.
