Spent the day at the museum....more problems. We had a furnace go out last October and had to have it replaced. The guy who did it only charged us 1/2 what another company was going to charge since we are a non-profit. So that cost us $3000. Now we had a refrig die on us. We went looking for one this morning. A store (Sears) here had one we were going to buy but they told us it would cost us $50. to deliver it!! I looked at that gal and said "really?" She said that it had to be over a certain price (I think it was $600) to be free delivery. So we called Lowe's in Columbus and they will deliver for free!! So we are going next week to look there. We did get some pie dough rolled!

Sharon, still praying but sounds like you are a bit better. Glad to hear that.

Weezie, texted me this morning and she was so sick that she didn't go to work. Gut issues.

Weezie2, when the air conditioner on my van burned up, I traded it in just like it was. They didn't blink and I did my homework on that one. I know it doesn't affect the driving like your repair does but get it repaired and then trade it off. You'll be better off. Being alone you need a dependable car.

PJ, glad you got a good work out.

WG, isn't quiet time wonderful??!!

Tammy, Thomas and I both don't eat mushrooms. Of course, I realize that you don't have to put them in.

Heading to the farmer's market tomorrow to get some chicken and pork. They will have some fresh veggies too. Oh, I got all the laundry done and ironing finished!

Sending prayers for a quick recovery. Sharon we love you. Take care

The mangerís wife gave us a Zumba class this morning in the rec hall. It felt so good to sweat up a storm and she will do it again next Friday. That will be the last one I can attend as we will be moving on Feb 14.

TB I am so excited for Mr TB and wish him a terrific show. I love your star quilt. I canít believe how much you are getting accomplished with your quilting. Do you have more than 24 hours a day.

WG glad you found some time for yourself to work on that UFO That had to feel good and a time to relax I do hope DS will just realize that divorce is inevitable and go ahead and get it started. She is just being so cruel to those children using them against him.

Weez2 hate to hear about more car problems. Do hope you can trade for something that you will be happy with not have any other issues with this one

LG so sorry to hear about all your bad news. They will be in my prayers.

Tammy I saw that recipe but donít have the ingredients to do it right not. Instead I have 3 huge chicken breasts in the crockpot with some carrots and cream of chicken soup. There will be plenty of leftovers that I thought I could do a casserole of some kind.

Time to get out for a walk as I didnít go this morning.

I woke up to snow on the ground. I'm not sure how the roads are going to be to pick up my nephew from college 45 minutes away. Hopefully the loaner has some good traction. I'm so use to a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I better research what this car a little.

My mechanic called last night. It is not going to be a cheap fix. He can't buy the bearings he need to fix the differential. The dealer wants to sell him the whole unit with a more than double the price tag just starting out what he thought it was going to cost to fix the problem. Grrr...I hate car problems too. It's a shame even a used differential is going to be half the price of a new one. Just a frustrating situation all around. I can't trade it in the way it is and really don't want to break even doing that either. I didn't eat too badly yesterday considering. I probably ate 200 calories more than I intended. I would have had a major binge before.

I need to get a move on to my day.

Have a Great Friday!

Hi, Seesters!

One of our RV Enthusiasts friends shared that Sharon isn't well - she is having a hard time moving, perhaps a sprain? - and asked for prayers for her...just sharing here.

LG, there was a chicken/mushroom/spinach low carb recipe that went around Facebook, and I tried it last night; Joe really like it. I've been using some low carb recipes in the evening just to try to lower carbs somewhat plus try new recipes. Most of them I have seen on Facebook. I think your pork chops sound good, low carb or not.

I am in the midst of writing exams to give this next week, which means I will be grading this next week. LOL

Have a good day - hello to all my Seesters.

Hi my Seesters. Hope your day was a good one. I was at work so any drama that may be occurring is not on my radar. I'd hope you had a nice day as well.

LG, hope the laundry works well. I hope you also have good pork chops.

SEK, enjoy the days off. Hope that testing goes well. Graduation is so much fun. It is a rite of passage. I'm glad you are doing it right.

I've finished my meal. Had "lunch" at 3:30. Busy day. I'm off to bed. Back tomorrow.

Can't believe that I haven't gotten here until now. Still don't have all the ironing done. But I will before I go to bed or else!! I'm over it.

Weezie2, I absolutely HATE car problems. So glad that you shopped instead of eating. emoticon

SEK, hope all went well for Joshua and the test. Our weather has been just as crazy! We had snow this morning. Didn't stick to the ground but it snowed!

WG, it is sad when the kids are stuck in the middle. Hope that it can get resolved quickly. I have a friend who "paid off" her ex-DIL just to get rid of her. She was pulling some of the same things but she had another man. So to get it over with quickly, my friend gave her money. She left and hasn't been heard from since. Sad as the kids of this marriage don't see their mom.

TB, love the quilt. Bob is a very talented artist!

Sharon, how is your back???

Tammy, what kind of low carb meals are you making? I found a recipe for pork chops in the crock-pot and I'm thinking of trying them over the weekend. Not sure it is low carb but I'll check.

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts for DB's GF and for Rachel. Found out today that Stephanie's sister (who was in ER over the weekend) is on meds and has to have another EKG done next week. She will see a cardiologist in 2 weeks. Then yesterday Stephanie's other sister's daughter (about 15 yo) came home from school and complained of chest pains. Went to Urgent Care. Did a chest x-ray and found a nodule on her lung. Very small and have a CT scan done first of next week. Prayers please!

PJ, will you be moving to another park later on in the month? I know last year you didn't stay in one place.

It's a frustrating day for me. I have my car in for more work. Something is going on with the differential. I have a loaner for the next couple of days while this gets fixed. Looks like I'll be trading in my car for a new one this spring. This past year has really cost me more to maintain it than I would have liked. Oh well such is life.

I stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way home. I tend to shop or eat when I'm frustrated so this is definitely the lesser of 2 evils. I picked up some silk flowers to brighten up the house and some fabric to make a table runner for Valentines Day. It's fun to decorate again with the grands.

Have a Great Thursday!

WG - Family drama is the worst. I feel for you, hope it gets better.

I'm still not 100% so that is why I've been MIA, I just backed off from a lot of things, unfortunately can't back off from everything. I don't feel so bad, just not much energy. I'm sure my weigh in this week will reflect that.

Our weather is crazy, warm and spring like, then 4 hours later full blown winter temps. I think this is one reason the kids around here are sick, that and they don't have parents that take care of them properly.

The school looks amazing. See I do scroll and look at posts, just don't always say anything.

In the morning I'm taking Joshua over to take his last test, then it's just waiting till May for "real" graduation. Hard to believe he is so grown up. I need to get the announcements and all done, I keep getting emails about it so I should just do it.

I have 4 days off from Casey's and hopefully I can get things caught up. We will see how the energy holds out.

TB lovely quilt as always.

I better go, have more to catch up with before I head out for work.

Y'all have a tremendous Thursday!

Hi Seesters. The grands are all gone finally. Had Fabio all day and DS got his kids this afternoon for a while. Not long enough, but there hasn't been a judgement to make DIL give him the kids for any length of time at all.

She doesn't do "out of control" so she is doing more and more dumb things. What she really would like is for him to work two jobs (he can't legally) and give her all the money and never bother her again.

I tell you, being widowed is a lot easier.

He is angry enough with her shenanigans with the kids he is going for a ruling this week. Otherwise, it will be a month or longer for any ruling to be made. It's going to be ugly and bloody. The ten year old was sobbing when he left tonight because his mother insisted on a "special night" for them together that meant he didn't get to be with his father, then she said as she dropped him off that and said he could stay later than the others for some "one on one" time. Unfortunately it is a school night and to stay up until late isn't going to work. So a sobbing child was sent back to his mother.

Dividing property, child custody arrangements, money (the biggest thing she complains about) are all still up in the air. It will be a long year for sure.

I do think he will give up and file for divorce instead of trying to work it out before doing that.

TB, the quilt is gorgeous. I'm waiting with baited breath to see what happens next. I'm so excited about Mr TB's show. He will so enjoy it and needs to share his talent and ideas with others.

LG, so glad the girls are physically active and interested in sports. To play all sorts is a great thing and they will do well Your days are so busy with all the work you do both for yourself and for others.

PJ, hope you are having warm weather now. It has been cold here, so I think of others and think you all should have the same. I know it isn't so as I've lived elsewhere, but it still sticks in my mind. How is the knitting going?

SS, I loved the pictures. What a wonderful surprise!! I love the pictures. That guy did it well and it was a wonderful surprise. Hope the hip feels better soon.

Weezie2, I'm glad you had time to do things around the house, but I do hate being "stuck" at home. Hope the car is warmer now.

Tammy, glad you are getting books read and cooking lower carb. It works for me although there are weeks that I just need to carb up. This is one of them. I am going to be very good tomorrow and see what happens on Saturday.

I had a good day at home on Monday and did put the binding on a quilt that I'd had in the UFO pile for a long time. Now to find time to finish the binding and get on to the next project. I did cut out fabric for a top but didn't get time today to work on it. Too much drama. hopefully this weekend.

Have a great night everyone.

Sharon: What a wonderful thing for Norm to do!!! emoticon I saw the picture, just now.

WG: What a good memory you have! Mr. TB did participate in a show a couple years ago. It was a juried exhibition (like a quilt show with judges etc. - for the record, he won best in show for the pic of me and Li'l G) but this is one to showcase his work, alone. He has done one-man shows before but not for a long time. His teaching career and - well, life - got in the way. So he's very excited about this one.

Break-ups are so hard at the best of time but when you throw bipolar issues into the mix ... emoticon my heart goes out to all of you.

SEK: I hope you're feeling better by now.

Becky: I love the open look of the addition to the school. Lots and lots of light!

No, I'm not in very many of Mr. TB's paintings. He doesn't usually put identifiable people in his pictures - that way anybody looking at them can identify with the subject, not look at it and think "I don't know that person"; so when he does, it means a lot. He has already made it clear (to everybody) that this particular painting is NOT for sale and that it is to go to Li'l G eventually.

Lily: Great news for your brother's girlfriend ... and WTG Rachel!

Weezie2: When you live in a rural setting, being without transportation is like being without a limb! A few months ago we had to use only one vehicle for a couple days ... it was hard!

PJ: I'm glad you like Mr. TB's work. I'm very proud of him, obviously. He has been having a lot of fun with the ceramic fantasy sculptures - completely different from his painting and drawing - just fun! They will also be part of his upcoming show.

Tammy: My steps have been pretty much non-existent recently. I'm still annoyed by the rash that I get from wearing my Fitbit for any length of time, but I've also been rushing to finish the top of my quilt - and then to sandwich, baste, and get it in the frame before February 9th. Timing will be very, very tight.

I'm attaching a picture of the partially finished quilt top. I usually don't show work-in-progress pics because they don't do justice to what the end product will look like after quilting and binding - but I figure there are enough quilters in the group who will recognize the stage I'm at. I still have to attach borders, make the backing, sandwich, quilt, and bind ... emoticon

Oh, and yes ... that's Celtic Sky peeking out from under it.

Good Evening!

Last night I pulled my right leg up to my knee to put some lotion on my feet. I got a terrible pain inside and spent a miserable night last night. I couldn't sit or lay down without lots of pain. My two nurse friends say it sounds like the piriformis muscle is in spasm and pushing on the sciatic nerve. All I know is it's very painful. They said if it's not doing better by tomorrow to go to ER so my insurance will cover it.

This afternoon we were supposed to go to one of our friends "surprise" birthday party. I told Norm I didn't think I could. He was adamant that I go. Well, come to find out the "surprise" was on me! Norm had a big Surprise Party for us honoring our 50th Wedding Anniversary, which is tomorrow. I blubbered like a baby. Those on FB may see a picture.

So, now that the excitement is all over and we're home from our party, I am going to go lay down with the heating pad and hope I feel better by morning!

Hi, Seesters!

We are back to cold weather here, but we had a very mild weekend, so I guess I'll deal with it.

Becky, the author's name is Phillip Gulley. Does Charley live at school?

I've been way under on steps lately - have to turn that around.

I've been preparing some low carb meals in the evening. We've found some we like.

LG that is great news about brothers GF. Will keep her in my prayers. Iím proud of Rachel and am rooting her on.

Sharon the other park we go to has about 3 people with permanent trailers that we expect any year for them not to come back. It is so sad and you never know what the new neighbors will be like or if there will even be any to replace them. Especially in that park we go to

Carol I love that addition it is so bright and cheerful.

SEK hope you are feeling better. I can just see Mike smiling when you canít talk and I imagine Joshua give you a hard time also.

WG I certainly hope DS wontí let her be miserable for years months is tolerable but not for years.

TB I love Mr TBís work you are both so talented. Now I will go poke around on your FB site and look at photos

Weez2 I hate to be without a car but it does make us get other things done. Hope you get it back quickly.

It's going to be a fun but busy day. I have Claire emoticon

I finally got my car back yesterday. The heat wasn't blowing and I'm not going though winter without heat in my car. They had to order the part. It's not fun being without a car. Of course that way I stayed out of trouble and got some cleaning done. I even got out the few things I have to decorate for Valentine's day. The house looks festive again.

Have a Great Wednesday!

Good Morning.....

Just realized that I didn't stop by here yesterday. Just busy. Carmen had her last game as a 6th grader last night but she will be playing on the 7th grade team for a couple more games. Brooke will begin (if she makes the team) playing softball in April. If she plays and we go, I'm getting out the blankets that we use for soccer. I refuse to freeze out there!!

I have church laundry to iron today and need to get some letters out also. Want to finish a book I started last week.

Sharon, at least your resort isn't leaving those older models there and letting them look awful. Glad that you are getting to spend time with your friends from MI.

Becky, your school is very forward thinking in letting the kids come early and get acquainted with everything. Is the dog yours?

Judy, hope you are feeling better.

WG, you deserve a quiet day and I hope that you got a lot done for yourself.

Weezie2, keep up the good work. You have inspired me!!

Weezie, hope that you aren't suffering with the headache any more. Also, glad that you got a 2 hr. delay this morning so that you could rest up a bit.

My steps have been very good....I've had 18K every day since Sunday. I took a peek at the scales this morning and I'm down another pound. So I'm hoping for another 1/2 by Saturday.

And I want to tell you all the news that I got from my brother yesterday. The biopsy on his GF's gland is cancer free. But after reviewing the PET scan they've decided they should remove it just "because". So keep those prayers coming.

Also, that Rachel is down almost 20 lbs since going on WW. She is doing so well and I'm so proud of her. Keep those prayers going too!! Thanks!!

Morning!

The temps are cold but at least we have the sunny skies back so I can live with it. Only in the 50's today but warming back up to the 70's later this week.

Our best friends from MI have arrived here and will be in the area for 6 weeks. They are coming over today and we'll spend the day together.

One of our neighbors decided to not come anymore (yes, another one) due to declining health. The resort isn't even going to try to sell their older park model. They are busy tearing it down today and I'm pretty sure they will move a brand new unit in the site for sale. Their goal is to get all the older units out and make the park look new better.

Becky - I like the idea of the slow start for the new students. Your school looks nice and it's fun to hear about it.

LG - Weezie2 will definitely look different but I'm only down a few pounds from last year! I'm hoping our challenge gets me closer to my goal. I haven't made a lot of headway since last summer! You are so good to follow the GK's to their games. We've been to a few of ours but not regularly like you do.

SEK - I hope you're feeling better. I'm doing better today. Now the throat is more dry and scratchy than sore. I'm still taking cold meds and sucking cough drops (sugar free)

WG - I hope you enjoyed your quiet day yesterday as I don't see you getting too many of them with all the drama going around you. Have fun with the grands!

Good morning.

Had a nice quiet day yesterday. Got some sewing done. Did get the wood floors done. They get washed but not conditioned as regularly as I need to. Today is grands. I've got fabric ready to cut out for quilts for the grandsons. Just a quick quilt with large squares.

Becky, love the school. It is beautiful and bright. I like the idea of transitioning. The dog must like the children.

LG, sorry the game was lost. Softball is fun.

SEK, hope you are feeling better. Listening to our bodies is a great thing to do. We do heal better.

Grands arrived. Have a great day.

Weezie, how nice that you're going down to spend some time with your sister. I have been a cancer caretaker twice....and it makes a huge difference when you have people show up for moral and emotional support. It makes a huge difference!!

Judy, I hope you get over your cold quickly. Have you ever made lemon ginger tea? It's delicious and it feels wonderful on a sore throat.

Wow, TB, your DH is so talented!!! Are you in a lot of his paintings?

We ease into school so it went relaxingly well. The first week of school only the new children (and any siblings) come....and only two hours a day. That way they can adjust without trauma (and their teachers, too). Three new children came yesterday, four others today and three more tomorrow....and the rest of the gang begins next Monday. Thankfully there were no criers yesterday. A screaming child takes a lot out of you!!!!

Here's a photo of how the addition to the school came out....and of Charlie eagerly awaiting his friends.

Just got home from Carmen's game. They got beat bad....but Carmen scored. Brooke is now finished playing bb but has gone out for softball. So we will again be going to games!

I have read all the posts just don't have time to comment all of them.

Weezie2, we won't recognize you and Sharon in Shipshe this year. But then maybe we will all be a bit "lighter" when we meet!

SS I've taken some pill form Nyquil at night, aspirin during the day and cough drops as well. I know they help but for me doing nothing instead of full speed ahead does a lot also. I have a hard time slowing down sick or not. Now my voice is gone, which is pleasing many people.

Take care ladies I'm headed for the big easy chair and my cover.

Morning. It is blowing snow and will be all day as well. Not fun but more fun than falling snow, I guess.

TB, how fun for your DH. I remember he had a show a few years ago, didn't he? He does beautiful work based on the picture you posted.

SS, hope it gets nicer for you soon. The storms are a necessity, but they aren't all that fun to have. I don't mind so much on my days off, but hate going out when I HAVE to.

Dishes washed, laundry about to go in. I need to clean today. The dog had an accident yesterday and I need to clean that up as well as do the floors today. They have been neglected a bit. Then maybe some "me" time. It's my only "me" day this week.

DS is doing better although it was an awful weekend. What he doesn't see is that he is stronger and able to deal with her better. He is upset that she continues to treat him badly but is less crushed by it. He will survive. It's just going to be a miserable few months/years.

Maybe some sewing today? Hoping to do so as I have a lot to do.

Have a great day.

Sharon: If you want to see some of his work you should be able to access it through my FB page. He does a variety of things ... painting, fantasy sculptures etc. This is one he did of Li'l G and me called "Nothing Faster Than The Speed of Time" (G is growing up so fast!)

Morning!

We had another storm front move through last night. Lots of wind and some rain. Norm had to get out of bed and go out and take his flag pole down as the wind bent the pole! Nala didn't get her morning walk as it was raining. I am hoping to get out and walk between rain storms.

TB - NO, I did NOT know DH was a professional artisit! What an honor and I can only imagine how excited he is. Keep us updated on the gallery show.

SEK - I don't think I was as lucky. Over the weekend, I got the fatigue and sore throat associated with a cold. I took Alka Seltzer Day Cold this morning and I intend to keep pushing on. Oh, BTW, I'm sucking on a cough drop!

WG - when they ran a scan on my lap top, it did not find any viruses. I have a registry error they tell me but they can't seem to find it. They ran a computer clean up program on it but that didn't catch it either. Oh well, it's all over my head so for now I'm working around it.
I hope you got a good night's sleep. All the drama with DS and DIL is so close, it must be difficult for you emotionally.

Weezie - I hope everything works out so you can go visit your sister. It will be a nice break for both of you!

LG - I'm still learning about the Galaxy phone but I'm liking it better each day! I think I would have had a lot of the same issues with the iPhone 6S. It's just getting the phone customized to my liking. I hope all goes well with Stephanie's sister at the cardiologist appointment. Let us know if you hear anymore.

PJ - we had flannel sheets on our bed and I changed them last week as I thought it was safe. Now our temps are rainy and windy with high's back in the 50's. I almost wish I had left them on but not enough to change them back.

Good morning all:

This will be a fly-by ... again ... sorry.

I've been MIA for a while but I have had a good reason. Mr. TB has been asked to do a gallery show (for those who don't know, he's a professional artist) next year and the art committee will be coming to see his studio, previous works, and works in progress. This isn't a requirement for the show but they're interested and he's always happy to show people around. I've been rushing around because they'll be here in 8 days, I'm in the process of finishing a quilt top so I'm taking up a fair bit of space, myself. I need to have it put together and out of the way by then. Also, Li'l G came for the weekend and he takes priority ... so I'm scrambling even more to get things done.

So, I've been reading, just not taking the time to comment.

emoticon to everyone.

This is just a quickie.

Sorry I wasn't here over the weekend but I've been busy trying not to get the crud. I felt it coming on Friday night at the game and I've been not exercising or doing anything I didn't have to do so it couldn't get a good hold. It worked I'm better today.

I did glance at the posts, sorry to everyone for the family issues and illnesses.

Yes my dog is a magician!

I better get have more catching up to do.

Hi Seesters. Family gone and the house is quiet.

Lots of drama the past few days. Will share later, at least bits, but mostly just difficult DIL being angry and punishing DS for his choices.

He talked with his siblings and although they don't know exactly what happened to end the marriage, they are aware that things are brewing and they need to leave her alone and not talk with her and give her ammunition.

The fight over the kids will go on for a long time. Hopefully, they will be able to work things out.

Weezie1, good luck going to you Sister's home. Support like that is so important. How hard for her.

LG, hope your turkey turned out OK.

Becky, good luck with school in the morning

SS, hope the device issues improves. Virus?

Tammy, love your reading. Enjoy.

PJ, that warm? Love the thought.

Off to bed. I'm bushed and want to get some sleep.

Evening all,

Well a busy day here. Have started working on the t-shirt quilt I've agreed to make for a friend. I had to get out and buy more stabilizer so I bought a bolt (15 yards) and with the coupon I got it half off so roughly $1.58/ yard. I want to make one for one of my kids as well so I should be set for both. I ordered the fabric and batting today from Connecting Threads so it should be here and I can get started. So it's a start and looking forward to the process.

Yesterday I had to work in the evening to get my steps in which I hate and not sure why I do that to myself but I got moving and made up for lost time. I didn't do the same today. I got my 10 in before church so I didn't have to think about it all day. Then a trip to the store and such and a conversation with one of my sisters and I'm at 18k.

So my sister in FL is having a time. Her DH has cancer and since she retired, her life is nothing more than trying to take care of him and doctor appointments. All of the other sisters have been but I have not and she won't ask for help. So, I talked to my DH and I called her and I'm going to plan a short trip down in March. I'll go on Wednesday and back on Saturday. I'll be able to lend a hand a few days and brighten her spirits. We may even take a day and go to a sewing expo for the day. Naturally it falls about the time my documents are due in for count day so I'll work that out tomorrow and hopefully either have it done before I go or I'll have to work on Sunday to wrap it up and deliver on Monday. It really shouldn't be an issue. Just waiting for the nod from the micro-manager before I book. I found a flight out of GR and can be down there in 4.5 hours. It would take more like 24 to drive. I just don't have the time to do so. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can pull this off!!!

Becky, good luck on starting a new school year. You'll get the office in shape in no time.

LG, turkey? Occasion or just need to use up? Thanks for the push today.

PJ, Judy, SS, Tammy, WG, hope you all had a good day.

I need to scoot. I'll check back tomorrow hopefully with news that I'm taking a 'mini' vacation. The other thing is I'm afraid sister camp may not happen in May. This sister is struggling with the notion of her husband's health. I can't blame her. The cancer is in his bones. They will find out Tuesday the results of his PET scan.

Talk to you later!!

I'm in the middle of trying to get a cake baked, laundry done, and a turkey in the oven for dinner tonight. Was hoping to sew today but I don't see it happening. I've got to run back to the grocery store for a couple of things and then stop by the pharmacy and pick up a prescript.

Stephanie's sister has to see a cardiologist on Monday. As we were talking about this Stephanie's stepdad told about a niece of his with the same problem. This is a half-sister. So I'm guessing it runs in families???? Still very scary as they couldn't seem to get her heart rate and BP down to normal.

PJ, are you using flannel sheets? I don't use them as we can't seem to move on them! Also, I get too hot with those on the bed.

TB, I can see your mind working... emoticon emoticon

SS, oh, well that explains the "problem" with the phones. I still have the Apple. Have a couple of friends who have Android phones and hate them. So I'm sticking with the Apple. I'm not too good with change!! LOL!!

Between my new phone and computer issues, I feel like I've lost two days! I haven't been on the computer much and I definitely have not met my step goals. However, with this post you can see I'm back on MY computer instead of a phone and our weather is beautiful so I should be able to get my step goal in.

Becky - it sounds like you are looking forward to classes beginning. Get your office organized today so you can enjoy your "little" ones tomorrow.

LG - I'm having no problems with my phone, just a learning curve going from an Apple product to an Android. My computer seems to have a registry error but no one can find the problem. I've just decided to work around it until I can't anymore. It sounds like you enjoyed your day with the games and visiting. Sorry about the scare with Stephanie's sister! At least they know now and can deal with it.

Pat, it sounds like you had a wonderful day with your grands. I hope the tachycardia incident with Stephanie's sister was just a one time thing.

Weezie, I was up in weight this week, too. Pretty discouraging, but I certainly know WHY in my case. emoticon

PJ, emoticon on your new incubating great grandbaby!!!!

Tammy, your book sounds interesting. What is the author's name? I have been reading goofy mysteries about Key West. My DB transferred all of his books from his computer to my kindle and there were lots of Florida/Key West books in the bunch. I love the hiassen books. I can relate to hating the "pave paradise and put up a parking lot" mentality that destroys nature without a thought about the future.

School starts tomorrow!!! The classroom is completely set up, but my office is a mess with half finished paper work in stacks all over the place. That is my job for today. I am looking forward to seeing my "old" little friends and meeting the new ones.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

Hello, ladies!!

We just got home from Columbus. Left here this morning at 8 and got home at 8. Definitely a long day. Got to Brooke's game and Stephanie's parents were there. So nice to see them but in the middle of the Brooke's first game Patti got a phone call from Stephanie's sister and said that she was on her way to the ER. Her heart was "racing" and it had her scared. After more than 5 hours in ER and way after lunch, we learned that she had tachacardia (SP??) She is only in her middle 20's. Scary! Brooke played in both games and started the second game and they won both of the games that they played.

Carmen had a game at 2 p.m. and they won also. Then we all went back to Jason/Stephanie's and at 5p.m we went to Mass. Carmen served! It was only her 2nd time. She did a great job.

Weezie2, you are doing so awesome!! You'll impress that doctor for sure.

Sharon, sorry about the computer issues. I got a 6S at Christmas and I didn't have any issues with it. Glad that you got it all worked out.

PJ, post some pics of your socks!! Congrats on the new baby!!

Weezie, sorry about your weight being up. But you'll bounce right back!

Happy Saturday to you all!

Ava is here but we'll be taking her to her aunt's house soon. We just got up from a nap. One we all needed I'm afraid. Yesterday was a very long day.

My weight was up a bit this week. Darn it. Weezie2, you're doing great and yes, your doctor will be most pleased at your next visit.

LG, glad the day is going well game wise for the girls or so it was last I knew. I'm sure you'll have your fill once the day is over.

PJ, glad you got some warmer temps. I've not gotten on the treadmill today so it will be a low step day for me. Somedays are just like that.

SS, glad Staples came to the rescue. Nothing worse than a computer on the fritz.

Tammy, Becky, Judy, WG, and anyone else I've gotten, hope your day is going well and you're enjoying it in some fashion.

I got the go ahead from the gal I agreed to make the t-shirt quilt for and going to get fabric ordered through Connecting Threads she picked out. It will end up with border(s) as she wants it bigger than the shirts will make it so shouldn't be a tough task at all. I hope tonight or tomorrow to get the stabilizer on the shirts in preparation.

Now I need to scoot so we can get Ava packed up and handed off.

Enjoy your evening!

Another wonderful warm sunny day today Not much sleep last night so taking it easy this afternoon. But I did do a 4.5 mile walk this morning early while it was cooler.

I must share I'm going to be a great grandma again in August. Jackson is getting a baby brother/ sister.

Sharon glad Staples got your computer issues straightened out.

Tammy the those dogs are your cheerleaders like when people line the streets at 5Kís and marathons Makes me smile.

I am working on a pair of socks using 2 yarns with a pattern. And honestly havenít been knitting as much here this year so it is going slow. I have been doing more walking with this nicer weather this year.

WG you and your puppy are very patient people, Just give her a bit more attention today.

Seesters enjoy your day.

I sure have been upset since my last post. Norm and I got new phones and that requires so much downloading and crap! And right in the middle of everything, my computer crashed. But Staples to the rescue! I remember how Jo always talked highly about Staples and it's one of the reasons I bought my lap top there. Well, they worked on cleaning and fixing my issue for over 3 hrs yesterday for No Chrg! I was worried about not having a computer for our Challenge WI today but I'm all set.

Weezie2 - I can't say enough how well you are doing. Yes, your doctor will be surprised! And we aren't even half done. The possibilities of your total loss for three months! I'm anxious to see your totals. Keep up the great work.

I'm heading off to the botanical gardens later this morning with my son and Kami. They are having a train exhibit there. It will so nice to get a preview of nicer weather.

I am so happy I joined the challenge with the RV team. It's just what I needed to get the scale moving in the right direction. My Dr wanted me to lose at least 10# before my next appointment. He should be pleasantly surprised. I have bigger goals than that emoticon

Hi, Seesters!

Becky, isn't it amazing how much can be done toward the new school term in those last few days? I do hate the paperwork, though.

LG, it sounds like a full day for sure - a full but good day.

WG, a week off? Enjoy!

PJ, how is the knitting going?

I did get to the library yesterday - three books by two of my favorite authors emoticon I am already in Chapter 5 or 6 of one of them. I already knew that I liked this author's characterizations, and he didn't let me down with this book. His newest work is in processing there at the library as well, so perhaps I will be reading it in the future. He does fun, but not mean, characterizations of folks within his church district - he is a Quaker minister in real life and his books are about a Quaker minister - and it is just so good the way he writes about his parishioners/members/whatever they are and the supervisors within in the Quaker faith. It's really about people in general, whether those of a faith tradition or not.

I think I have written before about the doggies that I "visit" with on my walks when I am able to walk outside. These are the sweet things that I just love to see when the day is in the 60s as it was yesterday:

Wow!! I know I came by here this morning but I guess that I didn't leave a note! I spent most of the day at the museum. We are getting ready to start the process for rolling pie dough. We did get some rolled but not much.

I will be gone all day tomorrow as Brooke plays her last 2 games as a Freshman and Carmen plays a game in the afternoon. Then Carmen will serve at Mass in the afternoon. So we'll be going to that also.

WG, your puppy is very patient just like her momma!

Becky, I second that....enjoy your "last" days as a free woman!!

Good morning Seesters. The busy "no lunch" day paid off with a small loss. I love any win.

There's a storm coming so it is a bit overcast. Snow for the weekend but rain today. It works well and is nice to keep the ground warmer for the snow to melt faster. I can see some of the draw of the snowbirds. When I lived in Logan Utah, we had snowbirds who would come north and spend the summer in the student apartments. It was very mild and pleasant. And they avoided the summers.

Laundry going, going to pick up DS#1 so he can pick up his car, and a bit of cleaning. The dog has had a hard two weeks also of children and being alone. She needs some special attention today. She has been very patient with the kids, but it is way enough for her after a while.

Glad you had a good day Tammy.

Becky, enjoy your last few days before school starts. I'm sure you have a ton of things to do. The harness is cords/ropes that fit over the dog's chest and trunk and attach to the leash. When she pulls, the cords pull on her chest and help her remember to slow down. Not painful and not a problem. She loves the thing. And it isn't uncomfortable or painful.

Have a great day today.

Tammy, my friend who teaches some on-line courses for UC at Berkely has over 100,000 students in her course. emoticon

WG, I'm going to have to google "pulling harness". My half husky pulls me on our walks.

Judy, LOL on having wine after your driver evalution!!!

Weezie, the capris come out at 40 degrees????? Amazing. When I was in the Peace Corps in Lesotho I lived in a Basotho village that was an hour walk from a Canadian agriculture project up in the mountains. I "commuted" to the project to work on a range management project. I would be layered in every bit of clothing I had (and still be freezing) and they would walk around in flannel shirts. I guess it really is relative....

Sharon, did Norm win a prize at the woodcarving show?

Only three more days and school starts. I am still working on the school and paperwork, but it will get done. I sure hope we don't have any completely out-of-control new kids this year. It is so hard when you have aggressive or kids who have never heard the work "no" in their short lives. We will see....

Hi, Seesters! I didn't get nearly all the fun things done today that I intended, but it has been a nice day. Sunshine and warmer temps help many things.

I have some more Fun for Tammy plans for tomorrow - library, garden readying, sewing, cooking - exciting, isn't it? 😉 I'm good with that.

There isn't any recent news about the possibility of online teaching anytime soon. My immediate boss is always considerate of my preferred two days per week schedule. He knows I would like a trial of one online and two seated classes if it were to happen. i would greatly miss the student and coolleague interaction but there's always the possibility that I could be in more of a caregiver situation at some time and online teaching would be a better option. I always have to have a Plan B in mind - likely the way I'm "wired."

SS, I nearly laughed out loud at the FB conversation with your DD and DIL concerning the Granny Pod. 😂

Have a good evening, Seesters. I've had half an ear to the debate...trying to be a good citizen here.

Hi Seesters. Home from work. Very long and busy day. "lunch" at 3:30. But it is over.

I'm so glad my dog took well to the "pulling" harness. When she was younger and we'd walk, I'd tried a collar. She choked every time we walked. I had a regular harness and she still pulled me along (apparently I didn't walk fast enough.) Then I found this "pulling harness" that made her much better behaved. I no longer had tendonitis in my elbows and we enjoyed our walks.

She is a little miffed at me today so we'll have to go to the store and get her treats tomorrow. Probably won't make her happier, but I'll feel better.

Had a wonderful time with my patients today and although it was awful busy, it was the patients who made it nice.

Have a great day

SS we've tried 2 different kinds of harnesses and she is like a greased pig, she does some kind of twisty thing and backs right out of them. I've never seen a dog do that until this one. I wonder if she goes out and watches Youtube videos on this?

SEK - we don't use a collar. We use a harness so I can yank on Nala and not worry about hurting her. We switched to a harness after Bailey broke her neck and the vet said she could never wear a collar again. If your Issabella slips out of a harness, you're in real trouble!

Been trying to catch up with y'all, I did but can't reply to everything because now I can't remember who did what. Yes, it's one of those days.

As soon as I got off the bus and had to hurry home to grab the dog to take her to the groomers, then back home to clean the aquarium (which I was going to do last week), and now trying to get caught up here. I still have a lot of steps to get in, but I'm sure I'll get them. I'm hoping to walk to work this afternoon, it is supposed to be close to 60, and that is warm not cold.

I did a driver evaluation last night and he lets the children scream and carry on to where you can't hear yourself think, needless to say there was wine involved when I got home. So what I was going to do at home last night got shoved to today's to do list.

SS wish I could take Izzabella on walks but the rat can slip out of any collar and harness in a second, and then she is gone like the wind. She is a brat, and if I use a choke chain she carries on like I'm killing her and everybody looks at me like I'm a criminal. So she stays home and drives hubby crazy till I get back. Come to think of it that's not a bad arrangement. emoticon

I need to move on to the next task. Ladies take care and have a totally fantastic Thursday!

I'm left on my own today as Norm left early for a woodcarving show. It's a man thing! They go out for breakfast and then on to the show. Perhaps Norm will get a prize but he doesn't care. He enjoys the camaraderie of the men.

I have no plans for today. Last year I would walk to all the neighboring stores but if I do it this year, it means I have to crate Nala and I admit, she is spoiled. So now we walk together but I can't go to the stores! I'm thinking I may crate her today!

WG, another piece to the puzzle. I realize now that she has been controlling him for years. So glad that he is seeing a psychiatrist and counselor. She is out of control. I have always suspected that my brother was verbally abused by his wife (the one who died). She talked terrible to him and when he was around us, he didn't talk. She treated the kids terrible too. So sad. With you and the help he is getting he'll be OK. But you are all in my prayers.

Weezie, you are doing great with your steps. Just emoticon emoticon I too believe that she is just a bag of hot air!

I've got some computer problems so I'm going to close now and will try to get back later.

Good morning all,

Sneaking in here at work this morning before things get crazy.

WG, my heart goes out to you and your son. We never quit feeling the pain our kids feel but sounds like your DS is doing all the things he needs to to protect himself and grow stronger so he can free himself of this 'control' freak. Glad you are able to be there to help with the grands.

SS and LG, I admire you both for how hard you both work dealing with the gut issues you have to deal with. I need to focus more on what my body does and I think too I would do well to lower the carbs and sugar. Baby steps as I know it isn't easy but I'll get there.

Becky, I got a great visual of your hair cut and glad you found something that works for you in the humidity. I have bone straight hair and finding a way to wear it that doesn't look hideous is tough. Nice you finally found someone who can cut it so it works!

Tammy, thanks for the info on the write-up. I guess I'll believe it when I see it but so far nothing. Not gonna sweat it as I don't believe it means much. Just a way to make herself look good in the eyes of others.

PJ, sorry the temps took a turn and capris put away for a few days. We're suppose to see 40's this weekend so we may pull out the capris here. LOL Co-worker looked at the weather and things we may see some blizzard like conditions later next week. She's hopeful for another snow day of course. I wouldn't mind one either but time with tell. Forecast can change upteen times before then.

Weezie, hope you're having a good week and you're doing great on the weight loss.

Now I need to scoot ladies and get to work. Hello to everyone and hope to check back in later to catch up!

Enjoy your day.

Hi Seesters. Home from work. The kids are staying the night (the three oldest, I think) and DS is away with them at Pack Meeting for Cub Scouts. DIL just dropped off the pajamas. Sweet as can be.

She has bipolar personality disorder and is probably narcissistic and sociopathic. It is always about her. He has been "under" her control since he was in high school and she has trained him well. He has a low self image and has jumped when she called for half his life. He turns 36 this year and that is a long time. She is the only girl he ever kissed, or anything else. The sun, moon, and stars rose and set in her eyes.

He is going to have to do some serious growing to make the changes he needs to survive. And yes, he is seeing a psychiatrist and a counselor. They have been helping him understand things but will not tell him what to do. His attorney has helped him see what he needs to do financially to protect himself.

I do worry about his safety and the children's safety at times. She is one of those people who would do a "If I can't have him/them, no one can." Can't change that and can't help him more than I can. Locks on the doors. He actually slept in another room last night to protect himself.

Becky, love the stories about the humidity. I decided long ago to quit dying when my last one married. Still haven't changed, but it won't be a big deal as I've been going lighter as time goes by.

SS, hope the girls luncheon went well. You do stay busy. Where else do you hanker to visit?

PJ, hope it warms up soon. Hope the craft day was a success.

LG, sounds like a winner to me.

Tammy, thanks for the kindness and thoughtfulness. It will get better. It does. Being single with children is always hard and frightening. "How will I survive" is a big deal. I hope your new semester works well. Have you decided to teach the online class?

Gotta go and get to bed. Another long day tomorrow.

Capris are gone now at least for a few days. Cloudy, rainy, windy etc. So its been inside for a couple of days. They are having a crafting session (gab session) this afternoon at rec hall and I am going to get out of here. Probably will take my bags/purses but not work on anything just enjoy the visiting.

Made stew yesterday and today it is ham and beans. At least this weather isn't to last too long.

LG - I loved the article and it makes sense why you and I can both have gut issues and require different foods. I would love to send a stool sample and have them tell me the right meal plan for me! Probably not in my lifetime but I can always hope! By experimenting, I know I can't eat a lot of carbs or sugars without my system reacting negatively!

Sharon, I did read the article that is why I said that you can get by without it but I can't and we both have "gut issues". It is amazing that it works that way for some and not others.

Becky, we do a major fundraiser in April. It is called Sassafras Days and Civil War Reenactment. The small town that our museum is located in is about 1.5 miles south of our town (both in same county). This town was founded in 1816. During the Civil War, Col. John Hunt Morgan and his raiders came thru burning towns to the ground. He didn't bother with Vernon because the townspeople lined up on the river with torches and he thought (I guess) that they were the US Army. So he backed off. Any way this is reenacted. We have Union Troops and Confederate Troops. I'll post some pics one of these days. To help us make money we fix food and have a huge bake sale. We make (from scratch) about 750 pies. We sell them all. Several of the gals here have had the pies we make. I always take several to Shipshe when we go.

Treated myself to a mani-pedi this morning and I feel like a new woman!!

Now going to run and work in my sewing room.

Morning!

Today is our Girls Time Out monthly luncheon so I'll be quick. I need to take Nala for her morning walk and then come back to shower and get dolled up. We chose to dress up nice for our luncheons so we feel special. Some wear dresses but I didn't bring any so I'll wear dress slacks and a dressier top.

Becky - yes, our resort is it's own little community. We have a post office and restaurant, plus our own church service on Sundays. We never intended to come to the same place every year but the friends you make do draw you back. Although most of our close friends are no longer here so we may decide to try a new area of the country next year. We only have a few years of good travel left.

LG - yes, it is true we are all different so we all have to find what works for us. If you haven't read the article Tessa posted in the challenge chat thread, it really explains our differences and even gives hope that they will eventually be able to control obesity.

SEK - I am so sorry for the chip in your sink! Just after we moved in to our home, I dropped a spice container out of the cupboard and it hit my stove just right (or wrong) and chipped a piece of the porcelain off my brand new stove. I was sick then and it makes me mad when I look at it yet.

Well, our weather has warmed up and everyone has put away their gloves and scarves and coats. I'm back to barefeet around the house. I guess it's from growing up in the tropcis, but as soon as I get home from anywhere....it's off with the shoes!!! There was one mother in our neighborhood who wouldn't let her kids go barefoot and we all felt terribly sorry for them.

WG, I am so sorry your DIL drama just goes on and on and on. I sure hope your DS decides that he can live without her soon and moves on with his life. What is it that she's got (we know it isn't personality)....is she gorgeous or incredible talented or an incredible mother?????

Sharon and PJ, I love to hear about your lifestyles in your winter parks. It is a whole mini-community, isn't it? My Dad retired to the Corpus Christi area after he lefted Panama and their were some RV parks around the area. I never realized that people go back to the same places every year and put down roots. It sounds wonderful.

Pat, you guys sell pies at the musuem?

Yikes, Judy, that is one hard garbage can to break your sink.

Weezie, it sounds like you feel much better about the your boss' ridiculous behavior. I'm glad....worrying takes so much out of you.

I went to a new place to get my hair dyed and cut. No one seems to know how to cut out of control curly/frizzy hair....especially when you live in 100% humidity. I really liked this guy. He cut it shorter than I'm used to, but I never have time to do anything with it (it's wash, and wear for me) so maybe I will like it. I want to stop dying it next year when I turn 60, Costa Rican women dye their hair until they die....so I know I'll get a lot of grief for doing it.

Hi, Seesters!

Judy, your chicken cordon bleu rice casserole sounds delicious.

Weezie, many years ago I was written up when a parent of a high school student complained about my actions in a situation. It was taken out of my file when that superintendent left. Of course, that meant that he had done it just to appease the parent, but that was the extent of it.

PJ, I have heard that the vanilla is really good. I sometimes think I will get a head start on my Christmas themed gifts and make some with the vanilla beans and the vodka (I think) but it hasn't happened yet. LOL

WG, does prickly future exDIL work outside the home? I'm thinking probably not considering different things. I wouldn't be having too many fights with your DS if I was her. I bet HER life hasn't changed too awfully much, with the exception of DS having physically relocated. I hope he finds his strength he needs soon, for his sake and his momma's sake and his childrens' sake. That is easier said than done, for sure, and even though I have been divorced with young children, and also deal with prickly, I am sure there are things in this situation that go beyond those things. emoticon

LG, continued prayers for DB's GF.

Weezie2, those are some good deals on kid's clothes! Good for you and good for the kids!

Hello to all! I better get on with my morning stuff as I have been sitting here too long already!

I didn't sleep too great last night either....alarm went off at regular time but my alarm clock must have "jumped" an hour ahead as I got up at 2:30a.m. When I discovered it I went in a laid down on the couch for about 45 mins. Ended up with a headache later on and hit the couch again.

Sharon, it is funny that you say that when you cut back on sugar, your IBS "clears" up. When I cut back on sugar my Crohn's goes haywire. I guess I need more sugar than I think.

WG, has your DS seen a counselor? He might benefit from it.

SEK, sorry about the sink. That is awful.

Weezie2, I agree that I worry about the starvation mode also. I try to stay around the 1200 calorie range each day.

With that said....I need to go log my dinner.

Hi Seesters. Boy am I beat. Didn't sleep much last night. The boys were fine but my arthritis was bothering me and it just wasn't happening. They boys were tired this morning and it was pretty hard for all of them.

The little ones are asleep and the big one is at preschool. I'll get him in a bit.

DS is back to being a basket case and not going to work. I hope he gets his head on straight soon. No one is worth losing your life over.

SEK, that's too bad about your sink. What an awful thing to have happen.

SS, glad you had a great visit.

Off to be with the grands again. At least I can do laundry and vacuum with the little boys. Just have to keep an eye on them and keep them separated and busy. One of those days.

Spent the morning having coffee with some old neighbors that stopped in to say Hi. Really miss them but they seem very happy at their new park.

Then we ran to KMart for Norm's prescriptions. Now I'm home and going to make a tuna salad for lunch.

Scale was kind to me this morning. I hope it's kind the rest of the week!

WG - I can see why you have to be careful with the DIL as if they ever work things out you have to have a relationship with her. I don't see that happening but your DS sure is a lot more patient that I would be.

WG hang in there and someday it will get better, it may take a long while, but there is usually light at the end of the tunnel.

I started to get here yesterday but every time I headed this way I got detoured.

I wish it was a cold 68 here. I feel bad for y'all with those temps. emoticon

I'm so mad at myself, I broke the bathroom sink last night. I hit the edge of it with the ceramic trash can and broke a huge chunk off. Didn't hurt the trash can, go figure. Hubby was thrilled especially since he installed it only about 6 months ago. You know I'm not on his good list now.

Ladies I need to get be getting ready for work. Take care and have a tremendous Tuesday!

Hi everyone. Was a very germy day. Came home and showered. I don't do that often but I felt very buggy. And the grands were coming for the night.

Love a lot of family drama at work and lots of sick patients. It will be fine and they will all get better. Just a lot of work today.

Have grands tonight as DS and brothers went to Star Wars to support DS who has a wedding anniversary today and is not doing well. He really doesn't want to be divorced. It has been so hard for him to feel this way. I'm in favor of setting limits and being done. She isn't going to change, but he needs to figure it out.

That is why I don't do a lot with DIL. He needs to figure out what he needs to do in establishing a relationship with her in the future.

She is getting desperate as she knows he is filing for separation. He is taking "her money" from her. She is angry, out of control, and pulling all sorts of stunts. He will figure it out. He is smart. Just beat down and lost.

I'm needing to go to sleep. I am pretty tired and the boys will be up early.

Becky, hope you warm up. It is funny how cold is relative.

SS, loved the review. I'm not sure I'll watch it but probably will some day.

Weezie, enjoy your meal with your friend.

Weezie2, good find at Old Navy. Good for you.

PJ, hope you enjoyed the meatballs and sauce.

Tammy, Hi.

Have a wonderful sleep

Evening all,

Well, I just finished up my steps for the day. I have a self-inflicted goal to meet and I did so. I couldn't keep up with Pat today but that is fine. We gotta take turns. LOL

SEK, you cracked me up as well and thanks all for your feedback. Today was like nothing ever happened. She was nice as nice could be and I just didn't have to talk to her much which is fine. We are all just keeping our distance. It will be what it will be and after I fumed over the weekend, today I felt much calmer and fine about it. Whatever happens will happen and as of now, it isn't 'high' on her priority list so we'll see if she ever comes through. IT just may be more smoke blown up our rears.

WG, my heart goes out to you. Sounds like your DIL is like my nasty one. I was going to reach out to see if I might get Mya this weekend as I know she'll say 'no' but at least I'll have tried. Gotta get a couple of other things resolved before doing so. Time will tell. I just wish they'd divorce and she'd go away!!!!

You gals talking about 68 degrees and cold makes me laugh as well. My sister in FL was carrying on about it being 40 at night and she just can't do a thing as it is too cold. Shoot, 40 here is a heatwave. Just depends what you grow accustomed to and I could never get used to the heat. I'll take the cold any day.

PJ, I envy you in capris and a short sleeve short and a walk outside! The treadmill gets old but, I keep a pushing.

SS, sounds like you've found some very creative ways to do the low carb. You are a great example.

Weezie, glad you got out a bit and had fun at Old Navy. It is sure fun to find deals for the little ones isn't it? I've been buying coats for next season already. They are so very cheap I couldn't resist!

I need to go log my food. I'm afraid I overdid today but I will log it nonetheless. I did manage a salad today for lunch. It won't be easy trying to eat one daily SS but I intend to make it a priority. I'm going out with a friend for dinner tomorrow (and before RCIA) so I plan to do a salad of some sort. Fortunately, I'm not big on dressing so that should make it somewhat easier.

Do hope you all have a great evening and I'll check back tomorrow, sometime, I hope. If not, Wednesday for sure.

OMG, Pat I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking of a baseball bat emoticon I am usually very easy going but if you mess with my kids my claws come out.

Kelly just picked up Claire so I can get busy with my steps. I need to run to Lowes and pick up a furnace filter . I usually get mine at Target while I'm there but the one needed for mom's house is 4" thick.

Our temps are 29 right now so it's definitely not bad at all for winter in WI. This is January so I won't expect it to be this nice for the remainder but I'll enjoy it as long as I can.

One of my friends asked me if I wanted to tag along yesterday with her when she returned a pair of pants at Old Navy. That is one store whenever I go there I either walk out with a lot or nothing. I found quite a few deals yesterday and walked out with 2 bags full for the little ones in my life. It's hard to pass up t shirts for $1 and cords for $2.99.

Have a Great Monday evening!

I'm grinning about the temps Sharon and Becky are talking about. Just got off the phone with my sister who is in Florida (very south). She said that they opened the homeless shelter for people because it got down to 68 last night. If it was 68 here, I'd be wearing flip-flops and shorts! Love you gals!!

WG, emoticon this is what I would use on her. I would also get a restraining order to keep her away from me. I know that would not help your DS but she sounds dangerous or maybe that is deranged!

Thanks for all the prayers for my DB's GF. Got word today that they are going to do chemo for one spot they found in the salivary gland. Breast came back benign. So that is a help.

I'm keeping up my steps....got 19K yesterday and I'm at 21K so far today. Won't get too many more.

Got to meet a lady at the museum today as she wants to buy a couple of pies. So got to run.
