Hi, Seesters!

I did get the exams graded and as per the schedule that I wanted to do. It sure made for a busy Tuesday last week, though. It's not that the world would have fallen apart had I not had them done, though. It's just a personal thing with me.

We are having a good time with SD and some of SGC and their littles. They are all at Silver Dollar City right now - not for us with bum feet and bum hips, etc- but we are all meeting at a Mexican restaurant nearby [remember, SS?] for dinner unless plans change, which won't bother DH at all as it isn't his favorite. I happen to like it very much, so I hope that the plans do NOT change. LOL There have been no toilet paper incidents this time. LOL

TB, how do you join the squares? I saw some individual squares joined with a whipstitch (?) at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY when we were there a few years ago. I would love a picture. I still think about that piano quilt that you posted on FB and tagged me in a while back...loved it.

Good morning:

I see that everybody has been busy, as usual, especially Lily. I don't know how you fit all your jobs into a day. I get pooped just reading about them.

Fall has arrived here emoticon We've had such a warm summer and September the cooler temps came as a bit of a shock, I think. I see predictions that this winter is going to be a hard one. I sure hope not.

I got all the blocks made for the reversible quilt ... unless I change my mind it's going to fit a double bed. I figure it will hang like a bedspread on Li'l G's single and I'll have enough fabric left to make matching curtains. I'm not sure when I'll get back to it to actually start joining blocks, what with being so busy with other stuff.

Red's thrush is improving and I'm hoping that I'll have it completely cleared up within a week or so. *fingers crossed*

emoticon to everyone.

It's been a rainy week. I can't complain.

My serger class was yesterday. It was a fun, interesting project with lots of down time. It's hard when everyone sews at a different pace. We were learning a flat lock stitch using a decorative thread. It took over an hour just to get a few machines up and running. The in store machine repairman spent the day in our classroom. It was frustrating for the poor ladies who's machines needed work. Mine was giving me a clicking sound but it was an easy fix. One lady still wasn't sewing after 2 when I left for home. I knew how to finish the table runner and I figured it was faster at home than to wait for one of the 3 regular machine they had us using. The instructor brought a few projects to show us what else we could do with our machines. I'll try to post a picture once I earn how to down load them off my new phone.

Have a Great Friday!

Good morning! This will not be long ad I've got to jump in the shower. We have another funeral dinner today. This one is only 35 people. Easy-peasy!

We are getting the kitchen painted on Monday. The guy who put in the new counter top is going tobdo some odd jobs also!! So happy to find someone willing tobdo them!

Got the new machine out yesterday & played on it last night. It is a but different from the one I have. Bobbin winding & threading are some different! I'm going to love this one!

Went to lunch yesterday with some friends from high school! Two of them I'd not seen since graduation more than 50 years ago! It was fun!

Got to run!

Hi Seesters. I'm going to bed in a minute. Had 5 kids here most of the day and a sixth one tonight. It was wild and crazy. I know that most of these kids won't have the same time when they are in school and busy with activities and lessons. This is the time we make memories.

Weezie1, glad Kellan is going on the bus. Much easier for him and you. It was nice that you could be there for him, though.

I'm off to bed. Got to get some Zzzzs before work tomorrow.

Evening all,

Just a quick 'hello' as we've been busy cleaning out the kitchen and purging of course. We have until the 3rd to get er done including ripping off the old tile backsplash. That will surely be the worst of the projects. We're having the cupboards refaced, new counter and a few new cupboards with a ton of pull out drawers installed. I'm very excited but of course it will be the start to many more necessary projects to get it all done. Our kitchen and LR are open and once we remove the cupboards over the bar area, it will be very open and nice. It's a start after all these years an exciting. In the meantime, I need to get going on the t-shirt quilts if I plan to get them done in time for Xmas for her. I need a few hours. I'm tired but maybe tomorrow seeing we've made good progress thus far on our kitchen tasks. Feels good to purge as well.

Work is nuts as per usual. I'm filling in for a co-worker for a few days so working 9-10 hour days but the OT will be nice in the paycheck. Heaven knows after retreat last weekend I can use it. Pat and I had a great time. Looking forward to April. She sure is fortunate to live near Sharynns and work there to boot.

Grands are good. Kellan is adjusting and actually is riding the bus now after a few days hanging with me. They seem to have worked out the ripples with a new driver and route so his ride has whittled down to 1/2 hour. He's enjoying school which is nice and his mama is giddy about getting involved and being a part of the PTO. She makes me laugh.

Now I need to scoot but wanted to say hello to all and will try to check back when I can.

Have a great Thursday all!

We are having temps at night in the 40s and low 70s in the daytime. So it is very comfortable. We did take the tours on Monday the Pendleton Woolen Blanket mill and the Underground Tour (Pendleton had many underground tunnels with speak easy etc so was very interesting) as well as looking at floorplans for trailers. Not sure that brand will work for us we love the quality but not the floorplan on the short one. So we shall see and will look at more brands.

LG glad you are getting your new machine and I know you are excited to learn and play with it and I hope that happens soon for you.

WG you had a house full of grands. Exciting and exhausting at the same time I don't think that happens too often and it is so good for the cousins to be able to get together so that they grow up knowing each other.

Will have a pretty long day of driving today and a shorter one on THursday should arrive at my cousins house early afternoon on Friday. I am so excited.

WG, you are the busiest gramma I know!! But I know that it makes you very happy to have the grands there. I wish that mine came here more often. We see them but mostly at sporting events.

Tammy, hope that you got the tests graded. I know that is a pain!

PJ, hope that you can sell the old camper this winter and get a new one for next year. So exciting.

SS, are you home yet? I saw your post on the other thread and it looked like you were having a great time.

TB, hope that you and Bob are doing well. Don't be a stranger!

Weezie2, are you getting your garden ready for winter? It's been in the 90s here and just too hot to work out there yet. Maybe October.

Weezie1, how is the kitchen coming? Pics please!

We went to Carmen's game last night. They lost but played very well. So that is a plus. Brooke plays tonight. We may not stay for the whole game. Last week we didn't go as I was trying to get everything ready for the retreat. Thomas didn't feel like driving up there by himself so we didn't go. The game lasted almost 2 hours and then they played another game. She didn't get home until after 10p.m. and the parents weren't happy about it.

We moved the store around yesterday and we moved fabric, sewing machines, tables and lots of other stuff. So I got a good workout from that.

Got to finish up a few things here and get to work.

Hi Seesters. LG, it looks like you hit the ground running. Trips are so tiring, even when they are fun. So glad you have others to help.

Tammy, so glad you are getting papers done. It's always a challenge to get tests corrected. My DIL teaches teens and she was at my house Sunday correcting papers. Doesn't help that she tends to melt down at times and not get things done.

SS, I'm assuming you are having a great time.

PJ, how did the tours go? Blankets are always nice and a new trailer would be so nice.

I've got 8 sippy cups and today they were all dirty by 2 pm. It was a long day but the grands, all seven of them had a great time. The older two went with their dad and birthday shopped. The two 6 year old boys played all day. The little ones had such fun together. It was nuts but worth it.

The grands are having a "birthday eve" celebration and the "six" year old will stay up a bit for his special time. His dad took the week off but the boy wants to go to work with his father and have lunch with him. He is so excited to do this. His birthday is Thursday but I'm working so tomorrow is easier.

Princess Purple brought several things for me to help her with. Some of her crafts and her 18 inch doll. The doll needs to be cleaned and have her hair fixed. It is a mess. I'm working on it. It may need to soak a day or two before it gets better. We are cleaning the legs and arms and will make new underpants as the doll is wearing a diaper that belongs to a baby doll.

I'm a bit flattered that she brought these things for me to help.

She may need to leave some things behind but the doll needs to go back. We are also washing her blankie tomorrow and seeing if we can get it softer as well. It is nasty and coarse. Not at all a Minky blanket.

Got to get to bed. Have Fabio coming tomorrow and will have the other children for early part of the day.

Have a great sleep. Will check in tomorrow if I get time.

Just wanted to stop by for a few minutes. Went to SVDP this morning only to learn that we have another funeral to do. She will be buried on Friday and that works for me. On Thursday I'm going to meet with several high school classmates that I haven't seen in 50 years! I'm excited. One moved to Oregon right after graduation and has only moved back in the area in the last several years to care for her mom. The other is still living in Florida. She moved there shortly after graduation and doesn't come back much. So we should have a good time.

I'm getting my new sewing machine tomorrow. But won't bring it home until Sharynn and I can sit down and work on the designs and transfer all the ones I have to the new machine. I'm excited to try it out.

Tammy, hope that you get those exams corrected. Glad that your DD realizes that she must take care of herself. And I applaud her going to counseling. That is very hard for some people to admit.

Hi, Seesters! Give the last class of the day a scheduled exam and will try to get them graded before class on Wednesday. DH smoked ribs yesterday and I made extra potato salad, so dinner is almost ready tonight, so perhaps some grading can be done. I began the day with a flare of my heel spurs, but fortunately have been able to walk SOME here at work today.

The pedis didn't happen. DD had worked two 12+ hour days and decided she wasn't up to going. I went to her apartment instead and we visited for a couple of hours. I heard about her different diagnoses and reasons for meds changes and how she is so very anxious at work, etc....Long story short, she is NOT going to do the bridge to RN from LPN at this time, and she will visit with her psychiatrist at her next appointment [in about three weeks if I track other conversations correctly] about going to counseling as well. I have offered to pay for the counseling if she will go. I see changes she could make in things, but of course I have more life experiences and I don't have multiple diagnoses. Sigh...perhaps the visit was better than the pedis would have been. We are fortunate that she is able to work for now, I think.

I have done NONE of the garden-prep-for-winter that I wanted to do, except for one day. It is not going to happen this week, either.

However, I have tried to do what I can get done WELL, even if it is not the multi-tasking that I used to juggle. We will be in Branson again on Thursday, and I hope to get some sewing done prior to SD and family coming down late Friday.

Well, another quilt retreat is in the books. We had a great time. Weezie got here about 2 p.m. and we went to Sharynn's new store for a bit and then headed to Madison for the lodge. Met a lady after we got into our room and invited her to eat with us. She was there for the retreat too. Very sweet lady. We helped Sharynn to get everything into the sewing room too. On Friday morning we got up later than normal (!) and we walked for over an hour. Had our breakfast and then headed to the sewing room. We went to one of the 2 quilt shops in Madison and of course had to buy something! I got a book and ruler on pineapple quilts. Look interesting.

Saturday, was not a good day for me.....I worked on a small Christmas project for Sharynn to display and couldn't get it to go together for anything. Then couldn't find a book I needed and ended up calling Thomas and he couldn't find it here either. Finally found it later after we'd gone to church. Tried to embroider a quilt block and it got messed up and I threw it in the trash! So we just went back to the room and went to bed!

Went walking this morning and then had breakfast and packed up our things and we headed out. Weezie is on the road now but should be home in about an hour. All in all, we had a lot of laughs and just a great time. Miss her already!

WG, sorry about all the drama at your house. Too bad she can't just go away gracefully.

TB, good to see you here and sorry about Red.

Weezie2, glad your back is better.

PJ, happy for you that you have found a camper that you like. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

emoticon to all that I missed. We are heading out to go get paint for the kitchen. I'm not sure what color I'll go with. I'm looking for a grayish/white.

emoticon everyone:

PJ: Happy birthday!

WG: Reversible quilts are 'quilt-as-you-go'. When you sew the pieces together on one side of the sandwich, you also sew the ones on the other. So, once the blocks are made there is no quilting to be done, just joining them together. The block patterns look very easy but making sure the two sides match exactly and bearing in mind that what is happening on the front is also happening on the back - but in reverse - make them anything but. I enjoy the challenge, though, and the idea of a 2-for-1 quilt. This is my third; one was a lap quilt and the other was for our king-sized bed. I'm not sure how big this one will be, since the goal is to use scraps. Right now I have enough blocks for a double but I'll keep on making them until I either run out of fabric or get bored.

Enjoy your Sunday, all.

Hi everyone. I'm home for a minute. I have one more run to the store. I guess I didn't go down all the aisles at the store.

Had a fun day. Went to 2 soccer games with Pocahontas and Princess Sofia. They were cute. Then the Dragon and I had a date and went out for burgers. He likes the places that only have burgers. Not even chicken. So I have a "cheese sandwich" which is a burger without the meat.

Then I got food for dinner tomorrow. After I got home, there was someone trying to get into the house. Has to be family as they were trying to use the code. It was the Jedi who was trying to open the door for the first time. I hadn't allowed him to have the code to keep his mother from using him to get into the house. It became right to give him the code and now I'll have to change it as she did use him.

She is on camera going through DS's car while waiting for the kids (the ruse to get in.) She also signed the agreement so the divorce can go through. It was pretty close and she actually made holes and tears in the paper with the pen. Never a dull moment.

Tammy, the pedis sound like fun. Hope it was a good bonding time with your DD. Exams don't sound like fun at all. But I'm sure your kids/students do well. I hope your DD makes it through the program this time. It will open more opportunities for her when she does. She did well with her LPN and that means something. She can do it.

Weezie2, glad your back is feeling better. Good mechanics and no heavy stuff. Not sure what you will do about winterizing. Seems like you just got it spring cleaned.

Weezie1 and LG, hope your time is fun. I love the quilt. It is very cute. Great pattern. I even recognize a couple of the plates. What a fun thing for you.

Weezie1, I'm sure you won't miss being at work for sure. It will be fun when you can retire. I can see you finding another entire career. I'm glad you have the flexibility to help with Kellan. That noise is frightening. I was terrified to ride the bus and I was in high school.

PJ, Sounds like a great deal for you. I'm sure you will enjoy another warmer way to travel. What do you do with your things when you sell the trailer.? I know you have your special chair among other things.

TB, Sorry Red has thrush. I'm sure you enjoy spending the time with him, though. All that painting wears me out thinking about it. The reversible quilt sounds like fun. How will you quilt it?

I've got to run and put a few things away and get some "grandma time" with the youngest. They are walking the dog right now but will return shortly.

Then I'm going to use one of my classes online and learn something new.

Have a great day.

We toured the trailer factory yesterday. Very interesting and they are high quality and well insulated. Going to a dealer Monday to see the finished product and with almost the arrangement we like. If we still are interested we will probably order one after coming home from Texas next April. Will try and sell our trailer when we are in East Texas that is where we sold our last boat and it sold quickly.

We have been taking our time on this trip but I am getting anxious to see my West coast family. Plan to arrive there on Friday.

I try and read posts as often as possible with the remoteness of our camping and the mountainous areas we have not had good cell or internet reception. Try and do what I can when we are going through cities on the road

Good morning all:

It's raining here, so I have an excuse to take a break from my jobs and pop by to say hi to you all.

We're going to a good friend's memorial service today, which I'm not looking forward to. He was the best man at our wedding. He died of a brain tumor at (only) 55. Sad.

As I think most of you will have seen on FB we've been keeping ourselves busy.

A couple weeks ago we had a new roof put on the house and this week we painted the kitchen. That was a big job and took (pretty much) a full two days, mostly because of all the taping and finicky little places.

Also, Red has a mild case of Thrush (a foot infection that can become serious if it's neglected). It's a very common condition and responds well to topical medication but it does require treatment on a regular basis. So, in addition to property maintenance and other jobs I've been going to the stable more often than I would otherwise.

I have been puttering away on a new quilt. It's reversible. I'm using scraps on one side and regular fabrics on the other.

Weezie and Lily: It looks like you're having a good time at the retreat. I love the pics; keep them coming.

Sharon and PJ: I see you've been doing some travelling and looking forward to your winter in the south. Stay safe and have fun.

Weezie2: Keep enjoying those grandbabies.

WG: I'm sorry things are still somewhat chaotic with your DS and grands, but I guess that's to be expected and it's going to take some time for things to settle, given the DIL's state of mind.

Tammy: Exams already?!? Where does time go?

SEK: How are things in your part of the continent?

If I've missed anyone - emoticon

Hi, Seesters!

I've spent the past couple of days with work-related stuff - exams - and still have some prepping to do for Monday, but am taking a break to go get pedis with DD today. She has switched her work hours from 8 hour shifts during second shift to 12 hour shifts during the day, so that makes it easier for us to do something such as today's plan. She is on the bridge-to-RN wagon again [third time's a charm, right?] but may have hit a snag with funding...perhaps not. A nursing friend of hers lost her 27-yr-old son in a motorcycle accident this week, so it helped her put her problems in perspective, although it is still hard with her diagnoses for her to keep a long view of things. It hasn't been but 2?3? weeks since my last pedi, but it's for a good cause - this is something she really enjoys. I'm thinking her latest meds change has "taken."

I am so enjoying the retreat projects, Weezie and LG.

SS and PJ, I'm thinking you are having a fantastic time.

Weezie2, glad the back is better. Less pain is always good. When do your craft fairs begin?

WG, get you get some sleep?

TB, how are you, lady? How's DH?

Have a good day, friends.

My back is much better this morning. I have much more movement in it and a lot less pain so I'm happy. After a few lazy/ cautious days I'm more than ready to start getting caught up on a few things.

Have a Wonderful Thursday!

Good morning to you all!

Well I'm up and getting last minute things packed. I'm happy to be getting away for a few days. Work is nuts and on top of it our last Supt, we believe, started stirring folks up so we have a big hoopla going on over the school mascot. Last night was gong to be a long Board meeting with all the folks for and against changing. Yep, the Redskins. So, I'm glad I wont be there as I'm sure the admins are dead tired. My boss was BEFORE this as the audit starts Monday so she's trying to make sure we've got it all in shape.

So Kellan is finding the school bus too much noise wise for him so the last few days he's been dropped off with me and when it is time that they will let them in the building, I run him over and drop him off. Well, I still walk him to his classroom. Now to get him to where I can drop off on his own. It'll come but for now I get to be Busia and hold his hand and walk him through the building. Special time for sure and he's doing well, all things considered.

I am sure I over packed but that's what I get for not preparing sooner. I too have several projects to work on that are incomplete but also taking stuff to make sleeping bags for the American Girl Dolls. This oughta be fun!

Just wanted to say hello to you all. I too am enjoying PJ's posts on FB and her trip. WG, enjoy your 'me' day. Weezie, hope the back is better and glad Claire is such a good baby.

Will keep you all posted from 'retreat'! Maybe we can steal a photo or two as well.

Enjoy your day and weekend!

Hi Seesters. A fun day of bags of heroin, crazy family members (and not mine for a change.)

LG, love the idea of a new machine. I love them. I often drool over new machines. that one looks spectacular. I'm sure you will enjoy this one Have fun at the retreat even if the machine can't go with you

Weezie, you have to be tired after the kids but it is so worth it. Have fun on your retreat. I'm glad you have got the t shirt quilts down. that's a lot of work.

Tammy, I hear you about the yard. It seems to take more time as the summer goes on. It should take less. Hope school is going well and your weekends are fun still. It must be nice to take a break and just be.

Weezie2, hope your back feels better soon. I'm glad Kami is helpful.

Gotta run and go to bed. I have tomorrow off and it will be filled with "me" things. I have a lot that needs to be done. Have a great day everyone.

it should be an interesting day. I threw my back out Monday morning just standing up of all things and today's my day for Claire. It's a good thing she plays good by herself.

My nephew is back at Marquette. I can't even get him to help with my yard anymore this year. I need to get back out in it as soon as my back allows me to. One good last weeding before the end of the year should do it.

My quilt shop called yesterday and is having a class on my new serger next week. The instructor is from Canada and is suppose to be really good. I'll have to take pictures of the table runner that we're making.

Have a Great Wednesday!

Good morning, everyone!!!

I've been MIA for a while. Those funeral dinners had mne running in circles! Two members of my committee were away. Two others had commitments later in the day & I had to work. So we did our best & got it done. I spent Sunday getting laundry done and made my veggie soup. I've started packing & will finish that tomorrow. Got to work today and Brooke has a softball game.

Our new counter tops will be installed toidsy on top if everything else! Can't wait for retreat to just relax a bit! I've got about 4 projects to get finished. Did I tell you that I bought a new sewing machine! I bought a Janome 14000. Of course I got a good notice on it!!! emoticon Sharynn has all the nbew ones & she made me a deal. Its not even out nof the box yet. And its still at the store. She and I are going to spend a day working on getting all my designs traznsferred to the new one! I'm excited to get it!

Tammy, I too wish I head Weezie's nephew!

Weezie2, enjoy those babies! Congrats on the new one!

WG, prayers for you!

SS, I know you are enjoying yourself.

PJ, love your travels!

Got to run!

Evening all,

I haven't checked in lately and I apologize. I've been putting in long days at work to make up for the time off Thursday and Friday with Pat at our retreat. I so need it. Then the audit begins Monday. Oh joy!! Life is interesting as per usual.

I am frantically trying to get things together as tomorrow night we have a guy coming to talk to us about refacing kitchen cabinets. Anyone have any experience about this sort of thing. We will have to have some new ones built for an area with all the slick pull outs but the bulk of them would be refaced. Would appreciate anything anyone has to share.

Had grands last weekend and I was beat. The boys AND Ava. Three is a bit much for sure. Kellan is a bus rider but finding the noise level hard for him. He has some sensory issues and just a little quirkiness so we've made arrangements and he's being dropped off with me and I'm taking him over once he can get in. Yesterday was the first time we tried this and he had a bit of a meltdown. I was with him for a half an hour. Today I managed 15 minutes max. He's not a breakfast eater, like his mother, so that is tricky. Ironically, there are a LOT of little ones sitting around in tears in the a.m. I had no idea! My kids were not at all like that and happy to get to where their friends are. I just have to be a bit firm and hug, kiss, encourage, and leave him. This too shall pass. Once his brother is riding the bus with him and they get to go together, I think he'll step up as the big kid. I can hope!!

Dropped the first of the t-shirt quilts off for quilting tonight. My plan is to have the 2nd done before the end of the month with the start of the 3rd. Once prepped and fabric chosen, the actual putting together isn't a big deal. So far anyway. I do hope I manage to get is done within my 'self' imposed timeframe.

The 24th my sister and I will be traveling over to the East side of the state to a sewing expo. Like the one I went to in FL in April. It should be fun, just the two of us. I want to check out a tool from the same folks I bought the table from while in FL.

PJ, sounds like a fabulous trip. I've always wanted to see Oregon. Please share some beautiful photos.

Weezie, you're busy I know and congrats on the new baby in the family. How are Kami and Claire? Growing fast I've no doubt.

SS, sounds like Mackinac is good. Beautiful as well. Are you going to the island at all? Wish we'd a had more time. Be sure to go over to Castle Rock in St. Ignace. What a climb up the steps for sure and all for a $1!

WG, your life is busy with all grands and family. HOpe you're taking care of you!!

Tammy, how are classes? My step-DD is in Austria for work. She left today. First time to Europe. She also has to speak in front of a group of folks for work related stuff. I can't even imagine the trip.

Pat, I'm excited about Thursday. I'll be in touch of course as I head that way. The time always goes too fast but it is always fun!!!

Okay, back to packing things up. I'm sure I'll take too much but that too is fine. I won't be bored. Some UFO's on the project list so hoping I can share when I get back.

Enjoy the rest of your week ladies. emoticon

We will be leaving the Sawtooth mountain area tomorrow arriving somewhere in Oregon east side tomorrow. Plan to tour a RV factory as we are comtemplating a change in brands on a new 5th wheel one that is a 4 season with lots more insulation etc for the weather extremes we use it in.

Found a bargain pair of Teva brand sandals at a gift shop. End of season and a good markdown

CHecking in when I can. Take care

Hi Seesters. Looks like everyone is busy. I like that we all have busy and full lives.

Enterprise and Snow White are sleeping/napping. The Gunslinger is watching a movie so it's quiet. I cleaned the recliner while the littles were going to sleep. It's microfiber and apparently you can clean it with alcohol. I'm trying it. It had some bad stains and is everyone's favorite chair. The kids/grands also love to sit in it. I"m hoping this is a good way to clean the thing.

The "funeral" was a good experience. The boys, my oldest and DB's foreign exchange student took the remains up the mountain visiting and laughing all the way. They also talked about my brother's death as the student was one of the caregivers during his illness.

The view from the mountainside was of the valley where we grew up, my mother's home, the cemetery where she is buried, and the lovely mountains he loved. Everyone was cheerful and played at being happy. It is what he would have wanted. No sad eulogy.

Dinner afterward was interesting. My sister is struggling with some things. She has been remote and difficult. One of her daughters no longer speaks to her. She was difficult with the plans for Saturday as well. I'm not sure how much relationship we will have in the future. I'm sad that she is having such a hard time. It bothers me that my only living sibling is so remote and unreachable now.

Weeize2, so glad you are back to your games. It was fun yesterday at work when some of the girls were watching the scores. Sounds like your hands are full with the grands as well.

Congrats on being a great grandma. That will be great fun. And Kami is an aunt. That is crazy.

LG, hope this week is better for you. It's been busy for you for sure.

SS, the pictures of you on the shore of the lake make me want to be there. It's a lot of traveling but it has to be fun. Good for you cleaning. It's always hard and I'm glad you have time to do this.

PJ, hope your trip is still going smoothly. My niece lives in Meridian. She loves the area. Enjoy your travels.

I've got to go. The grands are awake. I have to keep an eagle eye on Snow White. She is like her mother and she was a runner.

We have been enjoying our stay here at TeePee Campground. We did a little shopping/tourist watching both Sat & Sunday. This morning I took the time to get down on hands and knees to wash and wax all the floors in the MH. I have more cleaning and reorganizing planned as the week goes on..

We are parked right across the street from the Campgrounds dumpster. So I already pitched a bunch of stuff and since there are very few RV's in the Campground, I can pitch a lot! With so few here this week, the WiFi is working great. I thought I was hooked up earlier and wasn't so I've used half my Verizon data. So I'll have to be more careful.

Norm and I walked Nala down to the beach this afternoon. We we there alone so we just sat in chairs and watched the waves break on the shore.

It's football time again ( regular season that is) and I'm loving it. The Packers played a good close game yesterday and finished with a win. emoticon

It's been a crazy quick weekend. Kami's older brother and his wife had a little girl on Friday. They should be going home today. I guess that makes me a Great G'ma already. Nothing like a title making you feel older than you are. emoticon

I'll be heading out shortly. Kelly is getting her teeth cleaned this morning and is bringing Claire. She wants to expose Claire to the process before she goes in for her first cleaning.

Kami went with me Friday to visit my mom. I gave her a haircut and curled her hair. She looked like I'm use to seeing her. The aides blow dry her perm straight and she looks more like a rag a muffin that her cheerful self. We all know how much better we feel when we look good.

Have a Great Monday!

We finished packing and was headed north by 9am. We stopped for gas and lunch around 1 and arrived here around 3pm. After getting all settled in, Norm and I drove in to Mackinaw City for a light dinner. Norm ordered a bowl of clam chowder but I ordered Beef Noodle. We both enjoyed our soup. Now we are relaxing in front of the TV. Norm is watching a DVD movie of Jeremiah Johnson. One of my favorites as well so I have an ear to the movie while I'm sparking.

They changed the weather forecast somewhat for tomorrow. Now the rain should arrive in the night and move out in the morning so it may not be an all day rain afterall.

WG - I will be thinking of you tomorrow and saying a little prayer all goes well. It was important to your DB that he not tell anyone the real truth of his condition. Some people don't want people to change the way they interact. It was so good of you to go along with it knowing how seriously ill he really was. Thanks for explaining what "funeral" potatoes are. I love them but never heard them referred to as such. I hope the former exchange student has a safe arrival. Where is he from? We have had 13 exchange students from Japan in years past and I think if either of us passed there is one that might come, maybe. So. I think it's really nice that his exchange student will be able to takes his ashes for the "last road trip".

Hi Seesters. I'm home from shopping. The grands are here. I've got laundry in the washer and some to be folded. Not a big deal. It doesn't wrinkle and is easy to fold.

Tonight, my SIL and my brother's foreign exchange student from 15+ years ago will arrive. Tomorrow we will gather and ride a gondola up the mountain above my brother's house and there spread his ashes. It is more than he would want but less than I need. He passed away 3 weeks ago from complications of cancer. I have known for a long time he would not beat the cancer he "didn't have." My sister in law is doing OK. He was able to play with his son a week before he passed away.

He has his student from Germany driving his ashes up on a "last road trip" and he will carry them on his back for a "last hike" before we meet at the top of the mountain. My oldest DS will hike with him. He was closest to my brother of all the nieces and nephews.

Afterward we will eat and share memories. My sister and I were supposed to plan the meal but she wasn't getting back to me so I finally planned dinner. It will be simple but the "funeral potatoes" will be traditional. Just cheesy potato casserole but traditional at funerals here. Easy to make and feeds a crowd.

Today I was out getting things. Knee was a beast. it will be interesting hiking up the mountain to find a private place to do our business.

SS, enjoy your outing. I know you love visiting there in the fall.

LG, hope you are rested. One more week and you will be playing.

Have a great day.

Morning!
The MH is practically in my front yard but I still need to finish packing. It was so hot & humid yesterday afternoon that I chose to wait until this morning! Now it is hot, humid & raining! Again, I am choosing to wait as it's supposed to get better by noon - ha!

The dinner at Casey's was really fun last night. He was so surprised when we arrived. He immediately said they were about to eat and we should join them. Then another knock and he was even flabbergasted to open the door to his aunts & uncle! Zona did a wonderful job of surprising him. She had chicken salad sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans and the strawberry pretzel dessert. To show what a great little homemaker she is, Casey never even batted an eye at how clean the house was or the delicious meal she had prepared. He's a lucky man! Of course, I ate some of everything and sat and visited all evening. Thus, my steps were bad and the scale is up this morning.

This afternoon is our Community Picnic. Norm is grilling burgers and I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet but I'm hoping to keep busy and not eat too much!

WG - your menu sounds good but I'm not aware of what "funeral potatoes" is but any kind of potato is a winner.

Tammy - thanks for the Ben Hur review. We hadn't even honed into it yet. Now I definitely want to go see it!

Weezie2 - it must be fun to see the two little ones playing and giggling together. You are such a good Grandma! And you enjoy every minute of it.

Hi Seesters. Home early from work. I'm good with that. It has been a good week but the weekend is going to be busy.

Tammy, I hope you feel better soon. Food poisoning is a bad thing. It's no fun at all. I"m glad you liked Ben Hur. I loved the original. Even read the book. It was written by a man who served in the Civil War and was influential at the end of the war.

SS, glad you are a listening ear. It is hard when there is such a mess. It may take a while to get it straightened out. Enjoy your time until you leave. I'm sure it will be fun.

LG, glad you were able to help. 125 is a big group. That's a lot of food. My church will furnish the side dishes but the family pays for the meat. Especially when it is a big group. We have a committee that does funeral dinners and meals for the sick. My DIL got a week of meals when she had her last baby. It works well if everyone likes food but my grands can be pretty picky.

PJ, hope your day is going well.

Gotta run. Have tons of things to do. Need to plan the "funeral" dinner for my brother's "service" on Saturday Besides DS and my family, there will be a couple from Russia and one of DB's foreign exchange students he has kept in touch with. Maybe 30-35 people.

Thinking ham and turkey and fresh corn and"funeral potatoes." Other food but that is my main ideas.

Hi, Seesters!

It was indeed a good weekend until the early morning of Monday, when I woke up with my stomach just "rolling" and it was not a massage type of rolling. I think I got a mild case of food poisoning and it's just today that I am feeling somewhat normal. I let my early morning class go as soon as I got the material presented - pretty sure the teacher next door did not appreciate their talking as they left 30 minutes early. I did better in my second class and think I will make it through the day now.

Before the sickness, though, we saw BenHur with the youngest SD and we all thought it was great. I had never seen the original, and Joe and Kerry both had seen the original, yet we all thought this one was great.

I am checking both my feet and my skirts when I come out of restrooms these days emoticon They all had a great time referring to Joe as Mr. Whipple [of Charmin commercials] emoticon

We had another funny at the start of the weekend. We visited a Mexican restaurant and the waiter gave Joe his order and said "Here you go, Big Boy" - we just all burst out laughing and there were several "Big Boy" comments throughout the weekend.

Have a good day...

Kami spent the night on Sunday and Claire got dropped off about 9 on Monday morning, It does my heart good to watch them giggle and play together. It was a nice warm day so I brought them both down to the harbor after Claire's nap so they could play in the splash park. Of course Claire wanted nothing to do with the toddler area and insisted on playing at the larger one. This G'ma got wet making sure she didn't get plowed over by the bigger kids running around.

It was a warm one yesterday. We had 93 degree temps with a heat index of over 100. Today will be just a little cooler. I feel so bad for the kids back in the non air conditioned classrooms.

I plan on just visiting mom day and getting caught up with some cleaning.

Have a Great Wednesday!

Morning!
I was off busy having fun yesterday! I went to Adult Bingo in the afternoon and won all kinds of little prizes (candy, cookies, pot holders, chapstick, pkg of pens and storage containers). The prizes aren't big or expensive as they are mostly from the dollar store but we have a lot of giggles and fighting over stuff.

When I got back Norm was waiting as he had some errands to run and he wanted to go to Logan's for dinner. 2 for $15.99 special. We just got home when our friends called and wanted to meet us at the casino. We went and met them and let them share all the latest dirty details about the affair that is going on. I told Norm on the way that I know he's tired of the whole sordid affair but we are their best friends and they need to vent to someone. And vent, they did! It truly is so sad for their family. We did play the slots for a little and Norm won $75 but I lost my money.

Tonight we and my DB & DS have been invited to dinner at Casey & Zona's. It's been so long since Casey has seen by brother and his wife and my sister, that Zona invited them to come as a surprise for Casey. They haven't seen their house yet so it will be a fun evening.

LG - it's fun to be busy but not so fun when it's funeral food. Sorry and I'll pray it all works out.

Norm is bringing the MH up out of storage so we can pack today and in the morning. We'll be busy in the afternoon and evening tomorrow with our Community Picnic and we're ready to pull out first thing on Friday. So much to do and so little time!

I was very tired last night when I stopped by. We had the funeral dinner and there were about 125 people. Not much food left and I was happy about that. What we have left we give to the homeless shelter. So it didn't go to waste.

WG, thanks for the explanation. We have what is called "balanced calendar" around here. Basically the kids start school in August (very early) and then have a week off for fall break in October. Then a week off at Thanksgiving and 2 weeks at Christmas. Two weeks off at Spring break but the last week is used to make up snow days if needed. Then school is usually out by Memorial Day.

I'm heading to work this morning. Another gal covered for me yesterday and I'll take her day on Friday. I was told yesterday that another person from the church is close to death. I told the gals on my committee that I'd be out of town beginning next Thursday afternoon until Sunday. Several others have time scheduled away also. But we will manage. Prayers would be appreciated.

Hi everyone. DS is due back from returning his kids. They had an outing at the park and lunch before returning. He was concerned siblings would show up and interfere with his kid time. If the siblings show up, it is to help him get things cleaned out and ready for the remodel that is still pending.

Yesterday was fun. There was a family event in the morning then the kids came over for dinner later in the day. Had to see ex but it was fine. I just don't bother to speak to him beyond what is necessary. Less contact makes me happier.

LG, "off track" is part of year round school. The students are divided into 4 groups and any given week, only 3 of the groups of students are at school. The others are "off track." This supposedly reduces the need for a new school. My younger two did it for a couple of years. It was horrible for me as they had siblings in jr. high and high school following traditional schedules. These kids came late to the school and have the worst track that will be off between Thanksgiving and New Years. Hated that one. Nothing for the kids to do and no time to prepare for the holidays.

SS, sounds like a fun time. You go the UP every year? I'm sure it will be lovely.

PJ, safe travels. Hope your dad stays well while you are gone.

Weezie 1. Sounds like a fun outing for you as well. I'm a little more worried about the money than about the things I will do. I could walk away today and be fine. I've got plenty to do here.

Gotta go and take care of things around the house. Always a mess after the weekend, especially the ones with the kids. It is fly season and after dinner was served, I parked on the porch and forbade entrance to the grands. They had used all the door openings they were allowed for the day. No more flies. Still too many in the house, but they will go soon.

Well, I got up at my regular time and went to the gym. Usually there are any where from 10-20 people there at 4:30am. But not today. Just me and a guy. When I left at 5:30, there was still only 1 other person there.

We went to chapel and then I went to SVDP and we changed the shop around. Now I'm relaxing and will go to the funeral home for the visitation. Then tomorrow will be the funeral and the dinner.

Weezie, glad that you had a good time. Hope that Gary got some great pictures too. I'm so looking forward to retreat. Just 10 days!!

Sharon, hope that you enjoy your vacation up north. We are also praying that we don't have rain this weekend as our church is doing our annual festival. This will be the 1st year that we haven't worked but we just have too many other things to do. We will go eat on Friday night and I'll fill in for a while in the SVDP booth.

Now I need to get a few things done before I take off for the funeral home.

That's your history lesson for the day. Now go out and enjoy your day off!

We have nothing scheduled for today so I'll have to see what develops. I want to get laundry caught up as later this week I'll be packing the MH for our trip north. We'll be gone for 10-14 days so it takes a little planning but I'm excited to be going!

Our heat and humidity is back for the week. Our activity director is praying it doesn't rain on Thursday as that's our Community Picnic and she has worked so hard. I see there is rain in the forecast but perhaps by Thursday that will change.

Weezie - did you go to the island while you were up there? I doubt we will go as we've been so many times. I hope we have as nice weather as you had!

LG - glad you got a good night's sleep after your busy day. I regularly get 8 hrs but I know you don't. We'll be out of town for Tucker's first two soccer games so I hope we can make a couple of them.

Good morning all!

Well back from our trip to Mackinac. We had a good time and beautiful weather. Couldn't ask for anything better. I walked my feet off. I'm not used to pavement but this too is life. I'm pushing to keep at it but will never catch Pat so I'm good with that. LOL

WG, sounds like you have as much fun with your crazy one that I do. I just have to keep my distance for my own sanity.

SS, sounds like a fun day in South Haven. Had to get out of Mackinac before the bridge walk. 50k people in one place is a bit much for me. Glad Norm is able to take care of your car and save you a TON of $$.

Tammy, I had to chuckle as well but glad things are going well.

PJ, I think of you often. Have you been bothered by the flooding.

My sisters down south got some of the hurricane wind and rain but nothing terrible. Thank goodness. Loss of a power for a bit as well but short-lived. Again, a good thing.

Now I am going to work for a bit today. Having been gone on Friday, I feel the need to go in and accomplish just a few things to keep myself from getting too wiggy. Plus in 10 days I'm off 2 more to go on retreat with Pat. I don't think I'll do tihs one next year but we're signed up for one in April as well and this may become out retreat to go to until I get retired. I say it but wonder if it will ever happen. Scary yet exciting to think about. Did those of you who 'are' retired feel like that?

Okay, now I need to scoot. Enjoy your day and welcome September!!!

Well, we had a very busy day yesterday. Left here at 7:30 a.m. and got home at 8 p.m. Was so tired just fell into bed. Slept 8 full hours!! That is unheard of for me! We went to Luke's soccer game and then drove an hour to Carmen's volleyball tourney. Left there and came back to son's house. Stayed there for a while and then we all went to Mass and then we came home.

Today I've done laundry, some cleaning, and worked at the museum for 3 hours. Still trying to get all the laundry caught up. Tomorrow I don't plan to do much at all.

WG, crazy lady is a very nice "name"! But she is crazy and I know that you DS is smarter than that. BTW, what is "off track"?

Tammy, glad you had fun and I too would have been laughing very hard.

PJ, that will be nice to get a massage. I imagine that you will need it when you get back. No, I don't have the new sewing machine yet. Hoping to get it next week. Would love to take it to retreat with me but I really don't see that happening.

SS, love Barney!!

Got to run......

Hi Ladies!
We spent the day yesterday out at South Haven. We went to a trendy restaurant for lunch, checked out a huge craft fair and farmer's market as well as shopped the local shops. Then we took a walk on the boardwalk out to the pier. It was such nice weather and it felt good to be out enjoying it.

Today we had to go in for prescriptions so I got to shop extra and found some tops on Clearance for $1.79. I couldn't pass that up so I bought 3! Now I think I'm all set for my winter in TX!

WG - Norm has to wet sand the car yet but no, he doesn't have to take it anywhere. I'm amazed as he has about $175 in costs so far. For all the pin striping, writing and two tone colors, it would cost so much for someone to do it. Once again, he saved us lots of money. I'm glad DS has the kids but what's up with not bathing them? I sure hope he stays strong and doesn't go back to her. Let's face it almost all kids now days come from broken homes. I remember when my DD was in Jr High, she came home and announced she was the only girl at her lunch room table that lives with both her parents. That was 20 years ago! The kids will be better off without all the drama.

PJ - I find I eat better on the road in the car as we stop for meals but there is no snacks. I'm sure you will be just fine. I appreciate all the comments on Norm's paint job. I read them all to him as he's pretty proud of it. He just took Nala out and groomed her, then came in and gave her a bath. Right now she is running around tearing up the house. Why do dogs run and roll when they are wet. So much excitement!

Tammy - what fun you are all having. It must make Joe happy that you're together having such fun! I stopped in the restroom today while out and checked to make sure I didn't have any paper stuck to my shoe!

Hi Seesters. I've got a minute while the grands are showering. Their mother said she had bathed them but clearly they had not had a bath in DAYS. DS has them for a couple of days as they are "off track" and out of school. They negotiated the days off track this time.

Crazy lady wants him to "come back" and be with the family. She pointed out statistics about having a two parent home. He is doing much better at telling her he isn't going to do it.

Tammy, sounds like a lot of fun. The pedi sounds like a good time. I'm sure Joe appreciates having the girls around. I think we've all done the toilet paper on the shoe or, worse, had a skirt hem caught in the undies.

SS, do love that car. I'm sure you will enjoy the paint job.

LG, hope the funeral went well.

Gotta run and take care of the grands. I got to the sewing machine for a couple of hours on Thursday but haven't since. DS#4 brought me pants to fix. He had split the crotch. He just needs to lose a few pounds. Fixes the problem every time I did sew them, though.

Gotta run. Having the kids over for dinner. Lots to do. See you later.

Tammy I got a pedi on Friday in a new place. I liked them and will go back again and there is a massage place 2 doors down that I picked up a brochure for their prices. Very reasonable so will give them a try when we get back also. I can just see you three gals laughing and poor Joe. But I would have been laughing myself.

Been packing up and planning menus through our first day on the road. It is a bit different on a vacation vs. Texas as we don’t have our extra freezer with us. So we stop for groceries more often and eat more canned veggies (not my preference).

WG I guess I read your post wrong and thought there was a new little one on the way. You didn’t deserve to get “fired” as I think many places leave out way to long. Glad you weren’t upset.

Sharon Norm did a fabulous job on Barney. I love it and especially the writing on him.

LG you are much busier now with the grands games and working (part time) not sure how part time it is though. LOL I know you love it. Is that new machine at your house yet?

Need to do some more carrying out to the trailer and more laundry.

I go by the name of PJ and live north of KC, MO. Winter in East Texas.

HI, Seesters!

Those of you who are FB friends will know that I got a pedi this morning. We were the only three in the shop so it was perhaps more entertaining than it would have been otherwise. Lol. After we had lunch at Olive Garden, Joe walked out of the restroom with toilet paper stuck to his shoes. The youngest SD got so tickled that she had to sit down on an outside bench, but not before she had laughed so hard that she had wet her pants! (Moral of story - don't laugh at your dad too hard ;-))

The oldest SD and her husband will leave in the morning, and youngest before noon on Monday. I'm going to need to rest up.

Hi everyone. Sorry about the mix up. No new grands. No one is announcing at this time. Both daughters should be doing something in the next year or so as they both are claiming to want another little one but nothing yet.

Had an interesting day at work. Got "fired" by someone for removing food that had been sitting out way too long. It got worse after that, but the up side is that I didn't have to care for them any longer.

LG, sounds like a busy week. Sorry about your mom's cousin. I'm glad you are helping. Hope you get to see family anyway.

SS, love the pictures of the car. Do you have to go somewhere to "cure" the paint? or is it going to be OK.

I haven't put pills in food for a long time. The dog loves to do tricks and if I do enough tricks, she will usually take a pill without being difficult. If she is going to be, it isn't much that I have to do to fix it. Sometimes just alternating snacks with pills. It is fun as it works, but I understand if it doesn't for others.

I've got to get off to bed. It's late for me and I want to get to bed. Lots to do tomorrow.

TGIF!

Norm is already out spraying the car! It is the beautiful day he was hoping for. Cool, sunny, low humidity and little to no wind! Perfect! So because it's MI and the weather can change so quickly, he's out there first thing hoping to get it completed today.

Means we are stuck home with no car. Oh, BTW, we have had the Mustang parked out of the garage while Norm is painting and one of our neighbors stopped by and asked if we wanted to sell it. His wife loves the car and wants to buy it. Since we never got license or ins this year, we will sell if we can come to an agreement.

WG - did I miss something? I thought you meant you were going to get off the computer and go play Grandma again. Did you mean you are having another grandbaby?

LG - WOW! As I said, I guess I'm not a nice grandma as we'll be lucky to make a couple of Tucker's soccer games. You make me want to try harder! Sorry for the loss in your family. I can only assume you weren't too close to her since you are going to work on the funeral dinner.

PJ - I'm glad you could go visit with the new baby. Yes, a girl is so much fun. Lexi is our only GD but that means we can spoil her all the more (and trust me, we have). But so quickly the years have passed and now she's an adult, engaged and finishing up a double degree at Western. Lovely lady! I will also be praying that your dad does well while you are gone. Now you have an even more exciting trip if Frank is going to look at new Artic Fox trailers! I'll cross my fingers for you on that!

Tammy - never thought of disguising pills in hot dogs. We push Nala's into a cheese cube as she loves cheese. Glad to hear Sugar Dog is pretty much returned to normal.

Good morning...

I've been so busy trying to get everything done. How did I do all of this before? I know that I wasn't traveling to see the grandkids like we are now. Went to Brooke's softball games on Wednesday and she played 1st base and outfield in the 1st game. In the 2nd game she was catcher. She was using a new "type" of mitt. (don't ask, don't know!) The pitcher they have pitches at about 75-85 mph. Brooke was hit on the thumb but went back in an played until she got hit again. Took her out but she says she is fine. She did bat and play in the outfield the rest of the game. Carmen played volleyball the same night and Rachel went to that. They won but last night they lost. Luke plays soccer tomorrow morning and then we are going to Bloomington as Carmen has a tourney. WHEE!!

I was told yesterday that a lady at church died yesterday so I'll have another funeral dinner next week. This lady is also a relative of mine. Actually, my mom's 1st cousin. But I'll still help with the dinner.

PJ, glad that the painting is finished. I will put you on the prayer list that your dad does well while you are gone.

WG, congrats on the new baby. That is so awesome. You are a wonderful gramma and an inspiration to all of us.

Sharon, glad that your friends enjoyed their time with you and that she won! That is a big plus in my book.

Tammy, enjoy your weekend with your 2 DSDs.

We had sewing circle last night and I worked on a new project and almost have it finished. Sharynn has a new Janome machine in and I'm really thinking of buying it. It is of course an embroidery machine. I'm hoping that I can get it and take it to the retreat when Weezie comes in about 2 weeks! It will be fun to learn and explore!

Well, this is the first day I've had a home since Monday so I'd better get busy. I need to go to the grocery store. Thomas told me that there isn't anything in the house to eat. I asked him if he knew where the grocery store was and that he could also go!

I spent 2 days finishing painting the grand room now DS needs to finish painting the celing and do the floor. Curtains in camo fleece came out real nice we hung one just to see it. No pics yet. They also came for the few pieces of furniture I had for them from dad's apartment. I told them they couldn't have them until that painting was done.

Getting very anxious to leave on Tuesday to head to Oregon. DS surprised me today and told DS we were going to look at Artic Fox brand trailers while out west. I'm game at getting a new one just surprised that we were looking.

Dad was about the same today so just keeping fingers crossed that he holds that way until October when we come back home. But also preparing myself mentally if he doesn't. I will go and see him again on Monday.

Our weather has cooled off into the 80s for a few days it feels so nice. I will be packing my winter coat and boots for the trip as you never know this time of year going through the mountains. Will be baking a huge meatloaf tonight and plan to freeze some for the trip.

WG congrats on the new grand. I've lost track how many will this be? We went and saw Jilly Bean Tuesday. What a cutie. We didnt get any pictures. She has the dark hair like Jackson but not as much. Long fingers and big feet. Doctor even said he hoped she grew into her big feet. Of course she slept most of the time and when she starting getting fussy we knew it was feeding time so momma got her back. It is so wonderful to have a little girl in the family finally. Even if we wont' see her very often and she sure won't want for anything her room and closet is stuffed full

Hi Seesters. I'm taking a break and putting in my requests for the next couple of months. This one goes through the middle of November. I've got to get the requests in by the end of the day. The last schedule was a mess for me.

Tammy, that was a nice compliment on FB today. I'm glad you have chosen to teach. It's a gift and it should be used. Have fun this weekend. Hopefully the girls will behave.

SS, sounds like a fun little outing. Now for your next outing. I'm glad you enjoy your ccoktop that much. will be fun to use in the MH.

I've promised myself I'll get to the sewing today. I need to get busy and get things done so I can go and sew.

Morning!
Whew! A couple of extra busy days so I didn't get on the computer as much.

After our road trip on Tuesday, yesterday was busy. I woke up early with a gout flare up. I have no idea why! But it hurt so I started the day with pain. In the afternoon we ran to WalMart to get another induction cooktop for the MH so I don't have to transfer the one I have back and forth. I went to get the cheaper Faberware since PJ seems happy with it. Well, it was marked for $30 which is a good price but when I went through checkout it rang up Clearance $19!!! I was very happy as the pan that comes free is worth that much. I cooked supper on it last night and it basically works the same as the NuWave that I paid $99 for. Once again, in the right place at the right time!

This morning we had community coffee. Big group! It gets bigger every week. The men sit together and the women sit together as we decided early on that men and women discuss different stuff.

Now Norm & his friend Bob went in to Camping World to pick up an antenna for Bob's MH. When they get back Norm is going to help him install it. Then we have a few errands to run before evening. This evening Norm wants to tape up the car so he can overspray it tomorrow. He said no driving tomorrow! I will be glad when it's done - period!

Tammy - sounds like you will enjoy your Holiday weekend. We are planning to stay home and let others go camping. We have our Community Picnic next Thursday and Norm and I will be working for that. Then Fri morning we will leave for a nice 10 day trip up to the bridge. I'm very much looking forward to that! Is Sugar Dog back to normal now?

WG - WA was good. I feel like such an old lady between all my aches and pains. However, being in the water allows me to do so much more than out of water. You had a busy day yesterday with the three boys if I remember right. Is it true they help keep you young?

LG - the casino trip was a good diversion for Ron & Diana. She won $370. which helped as well. I just got Tucker's Soccer game schedule for this fall so we'll have to make a point of checking out a couple of his games. I'm not as nice as you though so won't go to all of them!

Hi, Seesters!

I awoke a bit earlier than I had to be up; this is a good thing when I am preparing for work and then going back to the RV this afternoon. The holiday weekend should be fun with both Joe's daughters being in the area.

Sugar Dog is somewhat more like herself; we are disguising her pills in pieces of hot dog, which is a novelty for her.

The class material is "okay"; I shall feel better about it next semester, I am sure. There is a tentative course outline and I have finished the lesson on the next class period for 2 of the 3 times that we have met. I am hearing the same from other instructors. I still have students who haven't signed up for the electronic homework portion...not the best for them.

Have a good day, Seesters!

Hi Seesters. Got a minute while the boys play. I'm enjoying the slightly cooler weather. Not looking forward to winter but will survive.

LG, hope your workday is a good one. Those grands of yours are quite busy and going in all directions.

SS, how did WA go today? Is the car painted?

Tammy, is the new class material working? I know you had a lot of prep to do this semester.

Going to go and be Grandma again. Had Snow White yesterday as her mother had a problem at work. We had a good time. Today is the three boys. They are having fun.

I'll see yo u all later.

Good evening, everyone......

Been a busy day here. Went to chapel then to SVDP and then got one more block made for the baby quilt. Then we left and went to Columbus to watch Carmen play volleyball. They finally won a game! They play again tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. Then Saturday they have a tourney in Bloomington. Carmen will be playing up on Saturday on the 8th grade team. I will go tomorrow but Wednesday we will go to Brooke's softball games. Thursday I'm hoping that we have Sewing Circle and I will go to that. WHEE!

Tammy, glad that Joe took the dog to the vet. Could be dangerous.

WG, isn't it amazing how messy kids can make your house. I feel for you. I work tomorrow and Wednesday. Hope that you can get it cleaned up some.

Sharon, hope that your friends enjoy the casino and can forget their troubles for a while.

Well, I'm heading to bed. Hello, to everyone!!
