Where there is a sale. I rarely ever buy clothes full price. Since I live an outdoorsy sort of lifestyle, my favs are Eddie Bauer, LLBean, and REI. I also buy my funky fun clothes at local shops. I usually can't afford them, but treat myself about once a year. For everyday things, I am usually successful at Kohls, or Macys. TJMaxx and Marshalls have something good every once in a while, but they are hit or miss. I used to shop at Goodwill for vintage sweaters, but they have gotten really hard to find.

Different cloths for different things for things around the house and yard Wal Mart. For something in particular or dressier Kohls is my favorite and rarely in the mall. I have bought things at the Goodwill too and garage sales.

Since I am losing the weight I do not want to put a lot of money into clothes I will outgrow soon. So I try Goodwill and when I want to reward myself for reaching a goal I go to dress barn or Ross.

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.

I do like Coldwater Creek but have to wait for their sales as it is a bit pricey for me. I do still like Kohl's but have to have time to look around.

I've not tried the ebay thing so will check that out too. I do try avoid the mall as I can easily get sucked in when I really don't need much. But having to replace clothes to a smaller size is such fun!!!

Once I find something I really like I look for the same brand & size on e-bay. Many times the items are brand new with tags for a fraction of the price. And I hate going to the Mall!

my favorite clothes shopping locations are thrift stores and consignment shops, can't beat the prices and sometimes they have bag days (whatever you can stuff in a bag for one low price), I have always shopped the thrift stores since my Mom would drag me along with her as a kid, now it's a necessity as I have to pinch dollars on a fixed income

Before I lost the weight I could never find anything in our local stores that fit Big Women and would often wait to buy cloths when a friend and I would go into the states-Duluth, MN (usually in the fall)and find all sorts of clothing that fit great...I am short and could find plus petites. Now I do buy a few things in our local Walmart, but still wait to do my most shopping on our mini holidays as I find the selection a lot better in the JC Penny, Kohls, Target etc. in the size I am in now

I've enjoyed shopping more than I have in years as I am out of the plus sizes. I love Dillards, Coldwater Creek, and some local stores. I realized that since I've dropped several sizes I have purchased more clothes than ever and need to pop into my local thrift stores to look for some good deals to save $ as I am on the journey to my goal weight.

My favorite stores are Christopher and Banks, Coldwater Creek, and Chicos. They all have some amazing sales if you check often and shop carefully. Chicos also has outlet stores, which have the best bargains. The clothes fit really nice and are "classically" stylish!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I have a Christopher & Banks nearby, but have never even been in the store - will stop by. Also visited Land's End website and saw some nice things.

Right now most of my wardrobe came from Kohl's, and they have changed or I have - not quite right!

I am excited for Spring!

I shop at a local area department sotre called Belk's when they a sale. I also shop at JC Penneys, Talbots, Macy's,Coldwater Creek, LL Bean and Lands End. I only buy the sale items. When I typed this out I realized how long it was. What can I say, I like clothes! I will be weeding out my closet and purging before I move to Germany. I am attempting to refrain from buying more.

I like Christopher and Banks. Dress Barn is nice at times. I have a friend who only shops thrift stores. I don't have time to go as often as she does to find bargains.

I have a hard time finding anything at Kohls anymore. I used to buy a lot of things there. But this past winter I only bought one sweater and a pair of jeans. I cannot find skirts or tops. A lot of the tops are too low cut and at my age I am not into showing cleavage.

Those are great suggestions, thanks! I have a Dress Barn & Coldwater Creek nearby - I'll have to visit. I will miss Lane Bryant - I could find nice clothes there at a reasonable price that fit.

Maybe it is time to take another look at thrift stores, too!

My favorite store is Dress Barn in the local mall. They have sales quite often and if you get on their mailing list, you will receive coupons. Most of their clothing is womens sizes and mostly conservative in taste.

I have been doing a lot of shopping at coldwater creek. You can do pretty good there if you catch a good sale. After Christmas there were even 75% off sales and that means 75% off everything.

This is an issue that has really gotten to most of us ladies. We lose weight and find that all sizes are made way too large and baggie. We want to show off what we regained. AND we aren't hip-hugging buttinski bearing teens. We have taste! LOL

I shop the thrift stores actually. Much cheaper and higher quality and the styles are better. The other choice is higher end stores when they have sales.

I am finally approaching regular sizes again, and I went to the mall, and was pretty overwhelmed! I would look at things, and then figure out they were not for my age group at all. So... what stores? What departments? I am a 'youngish' 60, but I am still 60, not 25!

"Also finished" is a lots better tagline than "Also started".
