If it is a digital one, there should be a start button, push it then begin stepping up, with one leg then alternate legs, the platform will raise up with you. A manual stair stepper is the same way, except there is no timers, etc. In either case, you just step up as you are walking on stairs.

For freezing meals, I would try using ziplock bags or saran wrap... might help to prevent freezer burn.

I like the idea of making a large batch of healthy food and then freezing single servings for lunches and such - essentially, making my own healthy and less expensive frozen dinners. But everything gets ruined in my tupperware in the freezer. Any suggestions on how to store homemade frozen dinners so they keep?

I embrase those things in my life that give me joy and pleasure. Those that wound or displease me, I crush under the heel of my boot.

Your body will tell you if it is ok to workout. A slight cold or something like that is ok, but if you are feeling worse it is best to wait until you are feeling better.

Hope you feel better soon.

Should you exercise (cardio) when you are feeling ill (head cold, sore throat, etc.) I feel yucky, and a part of me wants to work out and a part of me feels like resting up.

I tend to look at their suggestions and file them away for future reference. I just don't see myself changing everything I eat day 1 of diet. I start small substituting one food for another.

I do not know too many that do, although I do believe it is a very good plan my body will just not handle all the carbs in the diet.

I have a general question.... I am new and I was wondering how many SparkPeople follow the menu suggested right from the start, or do you take it as a suggestion?

thoughts?

Hi Sarah,

Yes, we will have challenges for our team, I just want to make sure we have everyone here first as new people are joining our team every day until Saturday.

Is this team going to eventually offer challenges? I LOVE a good challenge. I, for one, work better when challenged! Just curious.
