I'm just going to lose the $2.89 or whatever the flour cost. I had a second bag that was processed after the danger date. I washed the cannister, lid and scoop, I can't remember the last time I did that, and bought Pillsbury flour. Fortunately I don't use all that much all purpose flour anymore, except at Christmas. Tonight I'm making biscuits, but with my White Lily low protein flour. I wonder how long it will take General Mills to recover? I saw that the recall extended to a lot of their products, not just flour.

I also had a canister full Canister of flour (think there wa s a sale and bought both bags together but don't have the bag on that one) and a a full bag in my pantry. I called General Mills on the recall and was told to throw out flour and they would send me coupons for new bags of flour.

A poblano is a slightly spicy green pepper. They should be near the bell peppers and jalapenos in your store.

Do any of you have recalled Gold Medal flour? I have flour in my canister I'll have to throw out because the bag is gone and there is no way to see if it is in the recalled batch. Back to Pillsbury. I refuse to use store brand flour because I can't tell the protein content with the revised "serving" size now required. I had a store brand all purpose flour one time and made choux paste that didn't rise, which meant it was low protein flour, great for biscuits but awful for anything requiring the strength of gluten.

It's a little pork that I ground up (5 oz) and cooked with poblano and jalapeno peppers, some red and yellow bell pepper, onion and tomato, chili powder and cumin, simmered about an hour, then put on spaghetti.

Last night was pan fried trout and black bean and corn relish. Yum! I wish I could allow myself to eat more, but I remember when the kids were little they'd just say "Make this dinner again!" A great idea!
