Love Fort Wash park - did you park near the hawk watch?

Neither of my fun/activities were in Philly, but close by.

On a regular basis now, I hike in the Fort Washington State Park. I found the most beautiful creek area where I sat and just stared at the water.

On Monday I went to Valley Forge, took lots of photos, and hiked approximately 7 miles.

I would LOVE it if some of us could get together to go for a nature walk.

Valley Green, the Forbidden Drive, the Kelly or the M.L. King drive - any of these would be great.

This past week alone I dropped 2 lbs from walking every day outdoors. I am LOVING this!!!

I have 2 things:
My son and his girlfriend went indoor rock climbing at the Philadelphia Rock Climbing gym in Oaks...they were easily certified to work the ropes for each other and received a 2-week free use of the gym - they are hooked!

This past weekend I did a great hike in the Wissahickon with my husband and daughter. Started behind springside school - took the trails over the finger bridge and all the way down and up to Toleration Rock - then the return hike: miles? 7.2 miles of ups/downs rocks and flats.

He has been doing little 2-3 hour hikes to get in shape for an 11 day backpacking trip to the Philmont reservation (New Mexico) with the Boy Scouts this summer -

Other hikes: Mr. Joy in Valley Forge National Park and another Fairmount Park hike along the trails. I've done 2 now and its fun.

Sore today from the 7 miler on Saturday - hey I think I even see some muscle tone on my thighs...... emoticon
