Any fairly warm days I get I'll take a long walk around the periphery of my street. I own UnderArmor and that keeps me warm. Because I have asthma issues, I have to keep a scarf around my mouth during the cold weather.

It's just easier to dance to fitness music and do videos. I have exercise bands and a resistance band, and an aerobic stepper, and an in-stride cycle, and weights, etc. I practically hae a gym right in a bag. LOL I can never say I have no way to get some type of exercise in. Weather is no issue.

I enjoyed training for half-marathon in Forbidden Drive, its gorgeous place! Looking forward to spring to start running again!

Only once have I been to Forbidden Drive, and then I wasn't working out. I think I'll try that today, weather permitting.

I like the Walk Away the Pounds videos too. I love brisk fall days for walks on Forbidden Drive. But I'm in a good grove at FitLife with Aquasize twice a week and 2 body sculpting classes that is not weather dependent. Okay - so I'm dreading the whole winter clothes after aquasize thing.

Step aerobics is fantastic because it burns more than walking. The multi-level is the key. There are free videos online to use (I googled "exercise videos online" ) or you can step to your favorite upbeat music. I chose to order music from YES Fitness so I could be sure the beats per minute weren't too fast or too slow.

The video Walk Away The Pounds is great for walking indoors. I purchased the ultimate collection which cost less than buying the individual dvd's. It has the 1, 2, 3, & 4 mile walk. I ordered it from Walmart.com and had it delivered to the store of my choice for free. I believe it was $20.

I am in a bit of a situation since I can't do anything but light walking, which I am taking advantage of. Doing my best to take it easy so that I don't have any nose bleed reoccurences. On light duty until after November 10. Will chat again tomorrow.

My life is a bit of an uproar right now as I found out I am losing my job as of December 15. I'm glad I got some notice, but it is very scary. I've been through this enough times that I believe it will eventually work out for the best, but right now I'm shaky. I need to get out and walk in the Wissahickon. That always clears my mind.

Taking care of my great-grand daughters. They are 5 & 3. Seeing them interact with each other is a joy.
