Hey there ppl! I started Insanity on January 17 and as hard as it is, this is the first time EVER that I actually kinda like working out. I even look forward to my next workout, sometimes. I got Insanity a few years ago and woke up on day two with the worst case of the swine flu, for a month I had a hard time walking around more than ten minutes. After that, I had a subconscious fear of the Insanity workouts. It has taken me years to actually start them again, but I am so glad I did.

Way to go, COCOA-JUMBO! Yes, Fast and Furious is wicked. I keep thinking if none of the 3 of them can keep going in the power jumps, maybe it is a bit TOO insane?! I always feel better when I can go a bit longer than they can... I think I'm doing Max Interval Sports Training this weekend; it's one of my favorites...

Fast and Furious is a wicked workout! I did that one day along with the 20 minute extra DVD in BBL and it was nuts! It's great to sneak those short ones in once in while though!
I'm loving my combo of Insanity and BBL. The abs are beginning to show and that's what I'm really working for right now!

Way to go SHRINKINGALAN!!! Amazing results in only 2 weeks!!! At that rate you will be at your goal in no time! I did Fast and Furious this morning after my Combat workout; it's so short (22min) you think it's not gonna be that bad, but Shaun T will kick your butt every single time!

Fit Test #2 (Fit Test#1 in parentheses) Switch Kicks: 112/2=56 (72/2=36) Power Jacks: 52 (41) Power Knees: 88 (50) Power Jumps: 54 (33) Globe Jumps: 9 (11) Suicide Jumps: 12 (11) Pushup Jacks: 17 (12) Low Plank Obliques: 36 (26)
Good improvement, although I did this test 3 hours after eating and definitely wasn't done digesting. Got cramps and nauseous halfway through. I couldn't even do the stretches because I thought I was going to boot when I was bent over. All in all, I'm happy with these results.

I did Max Interval Circuit yesterday; haven't done that one since before I got sick, and it about killed me. LOVE that feeling! Also love that I have now officially lost 5 pant sizes during my 2 rounds of INSANITY!!! Shaun T is the best; if you stick with this, there is no way you will not get the results you want!

I did Plyo Cardio today too! My arms are like jelly after playing volleyball for two hours last night. I usually take Thursdays off but I have to be off tomorrow, so worked out today!

Day 10 (Plyo Cardio) down! Felt really strong through the squat/jump portion of the workouts. Upper body still kills me, but noticing some good definition coming through on my arms and shoulders.

I've been having pain on the outer edge of my right foot. Not sure if it's stretching or what. Jumping jacks kill it.

Day 9 (Pure Cardio) completed. Got some good sleep last night and a half pound drop on the scale. Swapped out my Reebok Zigs for Nike Air Monarchs. When I did the workout today, I still had the foot pain on the bottom front halves of my feet. My guess is it's due to being out of shape and not used to the Insanity movements. However, I found a good workaround for dealing with it. I loosened my laces as far as they would go. This worked with the Nikes because they are made of leather, so even loose they offer some good support.

I've been very sore! The combination of Insanity and BBL is amazing! Loving the definition I'm getting in my thighs! I finished Cardio Power and Resistance last night with no extra breaks but sometimes I wasn't moving as quickly as Shaun T. Dig Deep everybody!

Completed day 6, good day off, and just got done with day 8. Felt pretty good for 3/4s of the workout, tuckered out at the end. Noticing some sharper muscle definition in my arms. Legs are very strong, although endurance could be improved.

How's everyone doing? I"m on Day 8. The first time I did Insanity, I was upset to gain weight at first too. Here's a great article. Don't rely on the scale. Rely on pictures and measurements.

Completed my fifth day, Pure Cardio. Yeah, I'm up 1 pound for the week. I talked with a trainer today, and he suggested using tape measurements instead of the scale as an indicator of progress. So tomorrow morning, I'm going to stash the scale someplace that's a pain in the ass to get to and take my measurements.

Just did plyometric cardio circuit. Whew!
I weighed myself this morning and I've gained 3.3 pounds. I've done insanity all week and have burned soooo many calories and ive have done pretty well with eating right. I think I remember reading somewhere that its normal to gain weight during insanity? Can someone reassure me that that's true? Lol

Day 4 (Cardio Recovery) completed! I actually considered adding a run in after the workout, but halfway through the lunges, that just seemed ludicrous.
As for the shoes, I'm wearing the Reebok ZigNano Trainers. I believe Shaun T wears these same ones. The support is VERY good; I'm always rolling my ankles while hiking, but not once since starting Insanity. Today was fine, but if the pain comes back and persists well into week 2, I'll probably look for a replacement.

It may be your shoes. A lot of people find that they need to have different shoes during this workout. Make sure you have something with plenty of support. I love my ASICS GT2170's and have never had this issue.

Day 3 Power Cardio and Resistance, done! The soreness feels good and functional today; hoping I worked hard enough to get some decent sleep tonight. Noticed some pain in my feet; not sure if it's my shoes or just the small muscles in my legs getting worked, so I'm going to stick with it a little longer.

Even if I suck at the workout, I know it's a hell of a lot more activity than I was getting before- unless putting food in my mouth counts? Lol

Trust me, it gets easier! Plus, one of the great benefits of Beachbody workouts is that they grow with you. As you get more fit, you can work harder at the DVD and still get in a great workout!
Hang in there!

Plyo Cardio this morning. Ran out of my shoes at one point. I definitely sucked today. I stopped being able to keep up around the second circuit of the main exercises, but I tried (miserably) to keep up for the rest of the DVD. Still keeping with it because, frankly, I'm still getting a good workout, even though I'm messing them up.

Yoga X yesterday, Pure cardio and abs today.
Nice work everyone. That first fitness test I still remember as a jarring and honest look at where I was at in term of fitness - but in the end it was a great motivator for hard work, which does pay off. I keep hoping, anyway!
Cheers

I shut it off as soon as I'm done and use that number. You'll definitely burn more calories once your done but I only count what I burn when I'm working out. I just did Cardio Power and Resistance and Cardio Abs. I'm sore from Plyo Cardio on Sunday and Brazil Butt Liff Bum Bum last night. I think tomorrow could be bad!

I just finished Day 3 of Insanity. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself.
I have a question. I bought a heart monitor and I left it on after I worked out. The second I finished my workout, I checked the calories burned and it said 555. It's been about 10 minutes now and it's gone up to 601 and keeps rising. Should I update the calories I burned on my tracker or just go with the first number?
