I've recently started using a heart monitor (watch w/chest strap)to see how many calories I'm burning while doing insanity.
I'm pretty disappointed to see that I've only burned 230 when doing pure cardio and plyo circuit and barely 200 when i did cardio power! I push myself where I'm panting and sweat is dripping on the floor (sorry sounds gross!) but not sure how much more I can do without killing myself! I'm in pretty good shape despite my heavy weight so I minimize any breaks that I take.
Is it my heart monitor? It's the Pro-form brand. I just can't imagine that the workouts I've been doing are only burning 200 calories.
BTW, I'm 5'4" 145lbs. 31 yr old female. Are the high calorie burns I'm seeing from taller people?
