Thanks Sarah....I ripped one of my long bands by tying and untying it, so I've been thinking about getting them for awhile. Did you ever get the 2 lb gloves? I remember we were both considering purchasing them.

Hey Chaz - don't know when the presale is going to end...sorry about that, but I do have the firebands and I LOVE it. I don't know why I love it so much - it is just so easy to slip the thing on and off and not have to worry about getting it tied tight enough or not be able to get the thing untied easily. Also it doesn't seem to pull on my skin if I am wearing shorts very much, whereas when I tied my band, it wasn't very comfortable when it was on my skin and not over workout capris or pants.

Anyone know when the presale ends? I haven't seen anything, but I don't want to miss it. (I keep debating what to get...anyone ever try the firebands?)

I ordered all the dvd's except the cycling one, and added High Step Challenge and Muscle Max, they are my Mother's Day presents!
I'm super excited to get all of them, I love Cathe workouts. I think it will be nice to have both high and low impact, but intense workouts. I'm sure my knees will thank me for taking a break once in awhile! And she does say on her site that she will keep making workouts with plyo moves, etc. August 31st seems like a long way off though, huh?

I ordered the Deluxe with Cycle-max... can't wait to get it! Because of problems with my Achilles Tendons, I can't do high impact, no plyo for me. But like Cathe says, low impact does not mean low intensity...

On my strength days I don't go hard on my knees so that's when I get breaks so I'm not constantly doing high impact workouts everyday. And all of that gliding stuff is not easy on the knees in my opinion. I do a lot of that when I do Tracie Long workouts and my entire legs and butt are on fire and my knees do feel the impact from sliding floor work or not. Excited about Slide and Glide though. That's the first workout I'm going to do.

Oh. Don't get me wrong! I love plyo aso... But for those of os with creaky knees, hi impact is noty a good thing every single day. In fact, Cathe just wrote an article about how hi impact is not good for ANYONE every single day.
Anyhow... I love all her workouts. Lo and Hi. Bring it Cathe!!!

As long as she brings back the high impact I'm OK. And I'm not saying that low impact means low intensity. I just prefer to be kicking, powering up and doing low ends is all cuz I burn more calories that way. I enjoy the plyo factor.

Have no fear Cathe says she is not slowing down - she just says that a lot of people have been requesting these other types of workouts and she is just going with what "her people" want. She will continue to do high impact stuff she says.

Barre is another one of those workouts that is "trendy" right now - not to say it isn't a good workout or that it won't last, I am just saying that there seem to be a fair number of Barre classes and dvds these days - Cathe is just making sure she is staying current and keeping it fresh.

The day the descriptions for each workout came out I made notes on the workouts that interested me and I only found two so after the workouts are released I'm going to order up Slide & Glide and Athletic Training. If the sliding discs come back with good reviews on the type of flooring I use then I'll order them. Low impact isn't my thing, but anything with sliding makes my workouts intense so I'm all for that. When I get older and my knees start to give me real trouble I'll worry about getting some low impacts then. Hopefully after this set of workouts Cathe will get back to normal with her rowdy workouts.

Or is this the end? Some were saying on VF that Cathe is getting older now so she may be winding it down now. Eeeeeeeek! I checked her schedule for the classes she teaches and she's not doing bootcamp workouts anymore. She's doing barre now. This scares the hay out of me and it also makes me sad.

I did! I also got the dvds and the downloads - and I even got the cycle dvd, too.

I am so excited! I already have my Mindy Mylrea gliding extreme and LOVE it, so I can't wait to get more workouts with the gliding discs and to have Cathe as an instructor!
