Moonlitegraham: You have some really great ideas. I was just asked very recently to help out on the team. It kind of fell into Virginia Greta's lap earlier, but as we all l know, we haven't been very active. I am waiting to hear back from Virginia and see what kinds of challenges/forums we can come up with. I did make a few suggestions but we have to get things going. Would you like to maybe make a post for a weekly challenge?

I havenít been super active here, but I like to check in. Here are my ideas for making the group move effective (all free to take or leave)!

- change the goals after a discussion with the current active members. Maybe make one monthly goal, and one weekly goal. Perhaps encourage members to challenge each other
- mainstream the forums to big ideas. Maybe clean out some of the old stuff and bring it up to date
- encourage members to post (or keep posting) activities they have found and enjoyed in the Shenandoah Valley (5kís, volleyball, etc.)
- For anyone interested, set up a buddy or small group system, where they can use a sparkmail to encourage each other, discuss goals, report successes! If we did this, we could then use a forum to have these groups post out whatís going on with their group
- For anyone interested, find a health-related book to read and discuss

Thatís a lot! All free to take or leave! Iím willing to put in some time and help if needed.

I have noticed that many teams are not very active any more. Not sure if it is just because people bit off more than they could handle, life is too busy or the just don't care....

I would love to have a meet up of Valley Sparkers. Can't promise I can make a monthly meet up but sure would give it my best shot!

I also like Nan's idea of challenges or questions.

Thanks for keeping this team alive!

Virginia, I am willing to help and be a co-leader along with you. I like the idea of maybe getting together at some point or maybe on a regular basis...maybe monthly. My daughter is on a Spark team (No. VA Sparkers) and they meet once a month. Everyone doesn't go "every" time, but when they can. It seems our "valley" team just doesn't seem to be involved, even with just the sparking. I know a lot of members work and have family and things to do and just may not have enough time to be more involved. We could try doing a "question of the day" on our team. Maybe even a weekly challenge.......

Hi everyone! I sort of became the admin of this group by default a while back. I am wondering if our members have any thoughts or ideas about ways that we can make our team more effective or better support its growth and goals. Maybe even the group goals should be changed? Should we maybe have a gathering of some sort? I am open to any and all suggestions!
