a stint in the hospital and other health problems helped me get off track. I didn't even log on to spark pages. On Monday, I started again. I am back up to 210 and want to get down to my ideal BMI at 175

I have been keeping up with the stuff I already accomplished- those become my 1st mission then I move on to the next. It will be a slow process, but I will get it done. Thanks! Last night went to a friends to make some halloween candles. They turned out cute I think. Will post my 1st 3 critters on my page soon as I find some candles. I need to hit the store in a bit. Lori, good for you..... you will definitly get there. AFter all of the cleaning is caught up, maybe it would be easier to keep things done by doing one room a day of cleaning. This is just for cleaning........each day just pick up everything before going to bed. It doesn't take long if you do it each day. You will be amazed. As far as the top of the stove, I am saying if something spills, that can't wait until "kitchen" day, the spill will need attention when it is done. Slow and steady gets there, so maybe one room at a time will work for you. I am so glad you are on here posting...

I have had a clutter issue I am trying to change. I know this goes along with the weight issue. They work the same way so Im trying to do a little something everyday. Once something is completely scrubbed or organized, Im making sure I go back to it daily to keep it that way. Something like the stovetop doesnt sound like much to normal people, but for me its major. So far this week I have a bathroom sink, the stove top and the kitchen sink cleared out every night. I can only do 1 thing at a time or I get overwhelmed. I almost have the laundry caught up. Today plan- martins, laundry and the hallway. Have a good day

Hello world! Its a pretty day today. Im a little behind in my laundry and basic cleaning so that will be today. I found a timer under some junk Im starting to use for computer time. I tend to get lost on here sometimes and nothing gets done. I also have been neglecting sparks and emails. I have 15-30 minutes in email then will do some work or some form of exersise then 15-30 minutes on FB. Not sure but trying to work things out so I become more productive. I truely have been slacking and now that October is here (close enough) its 3 months to make a dent in the scale. I would LOVE for family to see me during holidays and notice I have made progress. Meantime- enjoy the weekend whatever you do!

I got on my bicycle for the first time in ages. It was a glorious day. I was not as fast as I used to be but I took it in stride (pedal???) and had a great ride.

We had a wonderful visit. I have some friends staying with me and yesterday was really busy. They are leaving to go home today. One is my NC friend who will be moving here next week. I am really excited that she is going to be here.....she was my walkin buddy in NC. Now I will be more into walking with my buddy again. We always walked 3-4 miles each day in NC, not matter what the weather (unless lighting/thunder). We didn't mind the rain, we just always walked.

Today my #2 grandson, wife and my great grandbaby are coming and we are having lunch. They are going to be in our area for something else so we are meeting up. Later today, my very good friend from NC will be here and then after dinner, 2 friends from No. VA are going to be here. Plus, will be going to visit Mom at nursing facility. Busy day to say the least, but a good kind of busy.

Hello Janie, Welcome to our group. There hasn't been much activity lately on here and we are just trying to get more things going. I am in Waynesboro in the Valley. There is going to be a Sweet Dreams Day in Stuart's Draft sometime in July and I am going to see if we can meet-up for that. There are crafters (lots), games, and just a good time all day. Hubby and I went last year and plan on going this year. I have asked my daughter to come and join us. She is in the No. VA sparkers. Did you ever go to any of the meetings for the No. VA sparkers?

hi all - I live in Culpeper... which isnt really Shenandoah or NoVA. I would like to think I am more of the Shenandoah type of girl..... so I occasionally "stalk" this group LOL. I really dont fit in the NoVA group with their lifestyle.
We were just out in Staunton, Waynesboro for Memorial Day weekend. Love it out there. Would love to have some friends in Page or Warren, Rappahannock that we could meet up with once a month and go walking or (kid friendly) hiking with during the summer. I am willing to drive.

Good morning. it sure is cold here.....although not as low a temp as it has been. I had a friend come visit for a few days and we had a nice time. She is looking to move to the area and we were looking at houses. She did find one she really liked and is thinking about it seriously. Found out yesterday that Hubby has to have knee surgery and we will find out tomorrow when it will be scheduled.

back. This team hasn't been very active and I certainly understand there are reasons for that. When I first joined I was so excited to think there was a team for the same area I live in. I always checked in each day and "huddled" each day......wrote on the chat post, and after a while I just stopped checking in because there was no one to "talk" to. I am not upset with the team, just sorry we don't have more action. It seems we are getting a few more new members and that is good. Someone just joined that doesn't live too far from me and I hope we can keep in touch. Just check in from time to time and when time allows. Nancy

Thought I'd let everyone know there is open gym for Volleyball in Front Royal on Thurs nights at 7:30. The cost is $3 and it is fun. Not really competitive with participants in all physical conditions. I've been a couple of times with my husband. If anyone is interested I will post the address of the gym.

I'm interested in running to get healthier. I think having a running partner to meet up with would help motivate me.
I'm a 28 year old married female and would prefer a female running partner. I live near Winchester.
I'm a MAJOR beginner, but my goal would be complete a 5k (mostly running, haha) by mid-year.
Let me know if there is anyone interested. Even if we just met up and ran separately, I just need some motivation to get out and move.

Dont know if anyone's still around for this, but thought drop in anyway. My main goal for December is to drop the inches I have gained. I went through my stats and Im working towards reaching and passing my lowest stats since starting. Went to the Alamo for the 1st time ever last night to see the Muppets. Such a fun movie. Brought me back to a simpler carefree time. Hope all are well. This is the final countdown for 2011. Im excited to go into 2012 on a good note.

Well she was too shy. She cried and tucked her head into my legs. I guess she so much like me. But we had fun.
On a better note I wore a size 16 jeans to the fair. I have been wearing 20 and I got them out from 2 years ago just to see and they fit. I have also lost 2.3 on my BMI. I also just got under 200. My goal was to be under 200 by the end of August.

I also had a physical and all the female stuff checked out yetserday. I felt things went okay, now scheduled for my mammo and heat CT for an inlarge nodule. But the good thing was every time I do go to the doctors the scale is even meaner. But it liked me that time.
