They are all right. It is easy to take baby steps, as you see what your nutrition is like and read the articles (sign up to get the emails) you will find more motivation to keep it up. The people are very supportive and when you have a bad day everyone is there to boost your self esteem just a bit.

7zigg3, Leankate is right-you are never alone here. The easy way to begin is just click. Click on anything on any of the pages and you'll find a wealth of informaton. My resources tab will give you articles in 4 different areas, plus recipes to try an the like. The Articles can answer a lot of quetions about the journey. The most fun is with the spark points-get points for logging in, logging your progress with the meal plan, exercise plan and other goals that you might decide to set. And of course, if you can't find it-do exactly what you did here just ask! Welcome to SP.

Thanks Neeterc and everyone! This is so great! I was in denial about needing to diet for many years, and maybe I've never gotten serious about it because it seems like such a lonely road. But obviously not here at SP. The support is wonderful, and I hope we all reach our goals, whatever they may be.

Hi and Welcome to SP. We're so glad that you've join the team. It is overwhelming at first.. but, please don't give up. I am going into my third week and believe me, it does get much easier.
Neeterc answered your question... if you have any others, just ask and one of us will find the answer for you.
This is a great website with wonderful people. It offers great tools and the people are very supportive and are so encouraging. It is much easier to regain your health with others who understand what you're going through. So please hang in there.
Again, welcome and I will look forward to getting to know you better and working along side of you.
Just join right in.
We can do it, yes we can!

Welcome! Click on the "My Tools" tab at the top of the page. On my page, to the right of the word START is a link to "Getting Started Guide". Actually, if you just fully explore that start page - all the columns and all the sections, you'll begin to find your way around.
Just ask if you need help finding another specific area

I just finished my first week with SP. I'm 54, divorced, own a business, and have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I'm not much of a dieter since I was pretty thin in my younger years. Since I hit 40 I've put on an average of about 3.5 lbs per year, and chose to ignore it until I hit 170 and decided i wanted my health back. My question is, where do you go on this website to keep track of weight and measurements. I'm a little overwhelmed. Thanks for any help, and good luck to everyone.
