On the elliptical there is a resistance setting / level depending on the machine what it is called if you have it on a higher setting yes it will be hard if you never used one before but they are easy on the joints

I don't know, but I felt the same way about the elliptical. Found it difficult.

Hi there.

I usually use the treadmill, but when I went to the fitness room yesterday, all were in use except the broken one. I tried the elliptical instead and it was very different. Definitely could feel additional muscles.

Does anyone know if the elliptical is considered weight bearing? Thanks!
