Hi,

This is my first time posting on this thread although I joing the 50+ group a few weeks ago. so far I've lost 13 lbs. joining SP! Now unfortunately I've seemd to hit a wall and can't get below the 133 mark!!! Frustrating!!

Tally 5191.6 + 13 = 5204.6!!

Though I may not get to this thread daily, I do go back and look at each of your posts; let me encourage you to do the same (not only on this thread, but others). And, just because comments may be addressed to someone else, that doesn't mean it wasn't for you too. Part of the great part of Spark People is our SP friends; a lot of the encouragement, suggestions, and gentle pushing to get us motivated again come from them!

For new members joining this thread (and as a reminder for the rest of us), I thought it might be a good idea to once again mention the basics for tracking our weigh-ins on this thread:

1. To make it easier on everyone, please post the current tally with each post.
2. All weight losses (added to tally) and gains (subtracted from tally) are done manually.
3. If this is your first time for posting here, you can count the total loss since joining SP.
4. Regarding the tally: Just like the math teachers used to tell us in school, please show your work; this will not only make it easier for the next person, but will allow them to review your addition/subtraction and make corrections if necessary.*
5. If the person before you didn't report the group weight tally, please go back to the last post reporting it and bring it up to date. If you're just quickly stopping by the thread and don't have time to do this, just leave the tally off (as many have done in the past) and hopefully the next one to post will have time to play catch up.
6. If you catch an error, please correct it asap. So that someone else can check too, please note where the error is from. *
7. If someone asks a question, please respond if you have time; if you have a question and no one has responded, ask again.

Well ladies, though I have stopped by the thread a few times, it's almost been a month since I've had an opportunity to take time to post a message. I am so happy to see all the losses; way to go, girls!!!!!! Also, what a great job you've done on keeping the group weight tally current!

BOBBIEC317(current weight ticker = 141 pounds):
Congratulations on your nine pound loss sine your 02/27/12 post (02/27=3, 03/05=1, 03/13=3, 03/20=1, 03/27=1, total loss = 9.0 pounds)!!!!!!

BABYBARNEY (current ticker weight = 132.4):
Congrats to you too for your nine pound loss(02/27=2, 03/02=3.4, 03/07=4, 03/13= 4.4 gain, 03/20=3.2, 03/27=.8, total loss = 9.0 pounds)! Though you reported you'd gotten a bit behind in your posting (02/27), you certainly have been keeping on track with your weight loss. As for the gain you reported on 03/13/12 (4.4 gain), that was probably just what you'd lost on the 03/07/12 report (4 pound loss), which was due to a complete detox and prep for the colonoscopy; hope all was found okay with the colonoscopy results. The difference between the two reports (03/07 and 03/13) was only a 0.4 gain; based on the weight losses that followed, that gain was probably just water weight. Remember, your weight can fluctuate daily in either directions; it's only when it stays in the gain direction that we need to watch it a bit more.

CALI1156 (currect weight ticker = 23 pound loss):
Welcome to this thread and a big congratulations for your weight loss so far; your 03/02 report showed a 23 pound loss (January, 13; February, 10), which is great! My only recommentdation is not to lose more on a monthly basis than what you're currently doing. Remember, your objective should not only to lose weight, but to also improve your habits (eating, drinking water, exercise, sleep); if you lose too much too quickly, you're more apt to put the weight back on. I've been a yo-yo dieter for years and trying to make those changes and keep them changed is still a struggle; so, do as I say and not as I do (lol)!

TWNOMWE (currect weight ticker = 164 pounds):
Congratulations on losing another 2.8 pounds (03/06, 1; 03/24, 1.8)! Articles have recommended a loss of one to pound pounds per week; this rate of loss may be helpful in keeping you off those dreaded plateaus.

EROSE1311 (current weight ticker = 164.6):
Way to drop two pounds (03/15)!!!!!!


DSCOTT525 (currect weight ticker = 6 pound loss):
Woohoo to dropping another four pounds (3/18)!!!! Thanks for picking up EROSE1311's weight loss and adding it to our group weight tally.

Hi! This is my first time tallying my weight loss here. I only weigh once a month, so I lost 13 pounds in January and 10 in February. 5146.8 + 23 = 5169.8

I'm abit behind. since Jan 17th. Jan 24th stayed the same (141) Jan. 31st lost 2 lbs. (139)
Feb. 7th lost 2 lbs. 137, no WI Feb 14th, Feb 21st gained 2 lbs. so end result up to today is, total now is lost 2 since last recorded...so that's group total of 5144.8 + 2 = 5146.8

Things are very stressful in our family right now and I haven't been able to spend time online since the beginning of the year; but, that doesn't mean I have thought about you! Thanks to you all ("You all" is about all the "Southern" I get; lol) for keeping the count going!

Wow girl, you're getting closer and closer to that goal; soon you'll be in maintenance mode. And, you certainly did prove the law of gravity (01/31, 1.4 gain; 01/16, 4.0 loss; 01/17, 3.2 loss)!

Hi Kat,
This weeks weighin was a drop of .2 of a lb. Ok, small but every bit counts!!!
For the group that's 5094.7 + .2 = 5094.9.

Hi Kat,
My WI from Nov 1st was a 2lb. drop so for the group that is 5085.9 + 2.0 = 50.87.9. I will weigh in again on Tues.

I get to add 3 - I weighed a day early, I'll be MIA Friday through Monday.
