Seems like I "found" what helps my body drop weight. ("The Obesity Code" by Dr. Jason Fung) This is after 4 yrs of only going up and/or plateauing in a holding pattern.

So, the GREAT news is that I've now dropped 10#'s since mid-June. -- Even my chiropractor noticed yesterday.

I have 12 more to go to lose my first 10%. My goal is to accomplish this by Christmas as a gift of health to me!

Yes, I am tracking steps. My target is the traditional 10K minimum. In fact, the one day that I felt really blah...I went out & walked simply to continue my "streak" (day #25 now!). I have to walk at least 20 min to count for my "record."

Down another pound this week! Didn't know I should have updated last week when I stayed the same. But 12 pounds total. My clothes are fitting better. This is the danger zone for me. I start to feel better, fall back into old eating habits and gain more back. NO, NOT THIS TIME!!!!!!!

Weigh in day is Thursday, will check then. I walked today for 120 minutes, it was cloudy.There was a fire close to where I live at a job site yesterday that spread to a apartment building next door and left everyone homeless with no one hurt. There is a ban on using the water for anything in my city for 2 days, they use well water here in White Rock, B.C. not city water., must be boiled for 2 minutes or bottled water. At least I do not live close to a area where there are forest fires.

Berry4 Try just walking. get a pedometer or a fit bit. Track your steps and increase them gradually. I hit plateaus too. Walking and making a conscious effort to get up and move ever hour will help. It's a Marathon not a sprint don't give up!

I'm here... but no change in weight for months. Doesn't matter if I eat less / exercise more. Been trying IF but not sure if there is help there. I can't workout 2+ hrs a day; 30 min is my average right now. Strength training leaves me sore for days. Seems not worth the pain...

Ok, back on the horse! I lost 15lbs last year for my daughter's wedding, and as soon as she was married, I slowly gained it all back again. well, almost all.
So I'm at 142 now, already down 3 lbs in two weeks, I can't believe it! Let's see if it keeps going, what with me in the middle of menopause and all!

I'm not getting on the scale for at least another week or two- but my clothes are a little bit looser today! I lost 25 pounds, then got careless and ate myself back up too many pounds; I'd already gave away all my 'fat' clothes' so really need to slim down to fit in my new stuff!!!!

Best advice I can give you, go on a light dose of HRT, it saved me and probably my marriage. Took the hot flashes away, and the anxiety too.

Read Psalm 25, it is a great Psalm to include in your life every day. Or go to Heart of the Word, and listen to their daily broadcast. Ron Mehl is great, he is no longer living, but truly is here in spirit.

I've lost 21 lbs this year not where I want to be in terms of the loss, but grateful for the progress however slow, I need to lose 120 lbs so every pound off gets me closer to health and hopefully pain free existence....

Back to Orange Theory Fitness after breaking a toe. The best work out I have ever participated in. Even though there are two groups- I t is like having a personal trainer. Go to any OTF in your area tell them Tay Percy sent you and they will give you a free trial.

I'm down 1 1/2 pounds this week, which will help me to stay motivated through the weekend. It's harder for me to limit my calories when I'm home because the food is right there! This weekend I'll focus on which foods I'm choosing. emoticon

Great Job mckatenh with the weight loss and that the knee is doing better. Knee pain is not a good thing at all.

I lost 2.5 lbs this week total of 6.5 so far. I am going to reach my first goal I just have to keep on the program.

I'm down two pounds. I changed up my exercise routines and committed to 64 oz. of water a day. Bingo! I hurt my knee a couple months ago so I had to hold off on high impact exercise. Last night I was able to go back to my regular kickboxing class and my knee seemed to do pretty well.
I was very pleased to see a difference on the scale this morning...tracking food, drinking water and getting exercise...it works if you do it. :)
