So the saga continues....
In the last post I said, "When and only when you have not had any periods, that means nothing at all, for one full year, then you are in menopause. If you go for 10 months with nothing and then whamo, it hits, however lightly, you start again form week 1 and have to go for another year.
Such is my case. I am starting over again from the beginning hoping for a year, but I no longer have any eggs and cannot get pregnant.
Everyone has a different number of eggs and it happens different
ly for everyone, hence the general confusion"
Hold on there!!! this part: "I no longer have any eggs and cannot get pregnant" not so true!!!
I talked to my doc and she said, well You have the boold test for FSH levels and it says. it is above 23 which is the stage where there are no eggs, but if you have the test again six months or so later the number can be back below 23 and guess what you still get pregnant!! tested mine it was at 5, FIVE!!!
I said WHAT!!!!!! She said now the chances of that are pretty slim but... and I said there's a but!!! It could happen.
Are you using anything, I said of course not, ya'll told me I could NOT get pregnant!!!!! She said you can use condoms, I said Uh,, no!!! then she said you can get back on the pill if you want, I said uh..... Yeah!!!!
Then when I call and talk to the nurse about where to send my prescription, I aks should I just start taking these since I don't know when my period should start, since it could be months before it happens again. She says, are you sexually active, i'm like what do you think, then she asks me are you using prevention, I just thought are you kidding me!!! NO!!!
The she says I have to talk to the doctor before I call this in. Now I'm thinking oh my God could I be pregnant!! How will I know since my periods are few and far between. First baby at 51!!!! She finally called my house, not my cell and told my Hubby that y prescription was called in, did not tell anything about what the doc said.
So, suffice it to say that I figure she would not have called in birth control if she had any inclination that I might be pregnant. So I started popping those babies as soon as I got home!!! Want to get that stuff back in me. At this point I may never get off them again!!!LOL
My doc is retiring in October, she is about 2-3 years older than me. So I figure she has Retirement-itiss, because I have never had an issue like tis in 25 years. She is always so precise and makes sure I understand everything.
Sorry this was so long but I just thought ya'll might appreciate my comedy of errors that is Menopause for me!!!!
If I end up pregnant will let ya'll know and my doc will be raising a little one during her retirement which starts in October. LOL
Thanks for hanging in there,
