So sorry that the end of an era has happened. It sounds like you have had a wonderful circle of special friends here. I am sorry for your losses and those of your friends. It is hard for us to lose our furbabies. Just know that they are no longer suffering and are together now at the Rainbow Bridge. We love to read stories about our friends, so please feel free to post some memories. It helps sometimes to share stories of Freya and Winston and our furbabies. We are here for you. Blessings and hugs, Helen

"If you planted hope in a heart today in any hopeless heart, If someone's burden was lighter because you did your part, If you caused a laugh that chased a tear away, If tonight your name is mentioned when someone kneels to pray, Then your day was well spent.
I too am sorry for the loss of so many of your pets and other friends pets as well. It is so hard to lose them. But it is wonderful to know that we will see them again one day in Heaven. What a reunion that will be!
I have pictures of all my lost pets in my gallery. I loved each one and they were unique in their own way. All had great personalities.

I'm so sorry for the loss of so many beloved pets in your circle, they are all up there celebrating with all our furbabies! It is a comfort to know they no longer are suffering and in pain even so it doesn't make the pain any easier.
Hugs to you, your hubby and friends. Sandi
Sandi My hubby and I have just celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary, can't believe we've been married that long! We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren and live in Tallahassee, Florida.
Today, my husband's former dog, who lives with his ex-wife crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We had pug-sat for Winston many times. And while we knew his time was coming (he was blind, deaf, lost his sense of smell and had a brain tumor causing seizures), it comes as a shock, so closely on the heels of so many other beloved pets this year.
First, my friend C's dog Harvey passed away. He was 14 and had Cancer.
Then my own beloved Freya.
On 9/11, my best friend's dog passed away, in the same manner as Freya. We raised our girls up together and they were the same age.
And now Winston today.
They were the last of the really great, old dogs in my circle of friends.
Go in peace, Winston. Job well done.

Your biggest challenge isnít someone else. Itís the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells, "CANíT", but you donít listen. You just push harder. And then you hear the voice whisper "can" and you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are. - Nike Ad
