"If you planted hope in a heart today in any hopeless heart, If someone's burden was lighter because you did your part, If you caused a laugh that chased a tear away, If tonight your name is mentioned when someone kneels to pray, Then your day was well spent.
Liz, when my Honeybear died a friend sent me this poem and also when I joined this great Rainbow Bridge team Helen sent it to me. I really believe that we will definitely see all our pets again. The God that I love, also loves my pets, afterall He made them. You will see your beloved Pepper again, that I'm sure of.

When Pepper died I found this poem and I put his picture on it and laminated it. Then I permanently put it on the bench that is out near his grave. I can sit on the bench, talk to Pepper and read this poem. I hope you like it as much as I do.
My precious Pepper passed away, no more to breathe a sound. I held him for the last time, then entombed him in the ground. Day and night I wept so much, in tears I thought I'd drown. I searched my soul for comfort, but no peace therein was found. In great despair, I hit my knees and then began to pray. "Father will I ever see, my dog again someday?" I raised my eyes and saw an angel standing near a gate. The angel smiled and said to me, "Oh child of little faith! I have met your gentle dog, I saw him pass my way. Your precious dog is still alive; he just walked through this gate. God gave to man His only Son, to cover all his sins. So why would God withhold from you, your pure and loving friend?" The angel took me by the hand and said, "Now come with me. A glimpse of paradise I'll give, to you so you can see." Through the gate and o'er the Rainbow Bridge we did proceed. Through green valleys filled with flowers, rolling hills and trees. The place was filled with joy. I saw my Pepper playing there, with dogs and cats and toys. Then I saw a child come near, and watched as Pepper rose. She said to him, "I love you so," and kissed him on his nose. The angel said, "The child just crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. Now she needs a gentle friend, to love and help her play. This is why God called your dog unto this splendid place. God's entrusted her with him, until you pass through this way.” She led me back across the Bridge, through the gate to home and left me there with new-found hope and peace within my soul.
