I am so very sorry for your loss! It is an aching feeling in your heart! These babies fulfill something inside us that no one else can. I lost my beloved Tanner almost 1 year ago. It was awful. Such an emptiness. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything I am here.
I got another mix this past January (2 months later), he did not take place of Tanner but he did fill that hole and makes me laugh again. I still cry over my Tanner but Heinz makes me smile again.
Time will be kind to you and you will feel better and the memories will be comforting and not as painful. (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))

Spent the weekend at an AKC agility trial and met some of the BEST vendors ever!! Combination of great products and great prices. I had been trying to decide what to do with Tyler's ashes and hadn't found a permanent memorial item.

There was a woman there that created "Puppy Paws" and part of her business is "Memory Paws." Her website is www.puppypaws.com/ I think you'll be amazed at some of her work if you check it out.

Melissa, Don't ever think that because Stringbean was a ferret that he wasn't a big part of your life and that he didn't mean as much to you as any other pet you could have had. He was still yours and a large part of your family. Allow yourself time to grieve for him. We all grieve differently and there is no right nor wrong way. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please try to find "Cold Noses"...it is a great book!!! HUGS!!!

Thanks Terri. My ferret chewed his way out of my bedroom through the screen last year & I was so upset. Luckily he went up to a neighbor; I didn't think we'd get him back. So I guess I was lucky that we had more time with him.

I can imagine how you feel. Your pet certainly rates as high as our beloved pets. I loved my daughter's hamster and it got loose and we never found it and I cried with her. It was horrible. Ferrets are so cute. I am so sorry for your loss.

I will certainly look for that book. Hopefully it will help as I don't have anyone to talk to since my pet was a ferret and doesn't seem to rate as highly as a dog or cat! My heart doesn't know that however, since he was my 1st pet.

I am looking for that book.
I also went on petloss.com and wrote a tribute to Tanner. It will remain on there forever. I wrote one for Bucky 10 years ago and it is still there.
The music is the love song from The Lion King. It took me back to 10 years ago when I first heard it. It is all about the Rainbow Bridge.

Maryann,
I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I did. This gave me so much hope and really helped me. Grieving is natural...it takes time also. JudyRose was part of your family...your child...and her passing leaves a large hole in your heart. Know that everyone grieves in his/her own way. These are your feelings and you are entitled to them. Our pets mean so much to us...sometimes even more than the people in our lives. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Donna, Your welcome...this book has helped me immensely. I am keeping your friend Deborah in prayers that God will comfort her as only He can in her loss of her baby Snowball Cinderella Joy. It sounds like she has sure had a rough time of it. Praying...
Blessings and hugs,

Thank you Helen for sharing the info about the book. I sure can use it and I want to get a copy for my friend Deborah. She just emailed me that yesterday her little baby Snowball Cinderella Joy went to the Rainbow Bridge. My heart hurts for her, that was all she had left. in 2003 her DH passed from cancer, in 2006 she was Diagnosed with BC( thank God she made it). Little Snowball was her comfort.
Now with this new book, I can offer her a little more comfort.
Thank You Blessing and Hugs

I am currently reading "Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates" by Gary Kurz. This is a book of hope for those who have lost a pet. If you've ever loved and lost a pet, you'll welcome this amazing book's reassurance that love and loyalty are truly eternal, and that someday, you and your pets will be together again. This is a great book.
Hugs,
Helen
