I have an appointment today as a matter of fact and this is definitely the topic we will be discussing... I told them when I made this appointment, that I need help because I am up about every 2-3 hours, some nights its so bad, my hubby will get up and go get on the couch....so I am hoping the doc starts me on some kind of hormone therapy today....

ONE DAY AT A TIME - EVERY MINUTE COUNTS - BABY STEPS = ACCOMPLISHED GOALS - LIVING MY LIFE LIKE ITS GOLDEN....

Goals/Accomplishments: based on a 4-wk month, counted as 28 days.
Minute Counts: monthly goal is increased by 10 minutes each month..
May 2012 goal set at:840 end total: 913 (30 minutes per day)
June 2012 goal set at:1120 end total:

I was taking the Spring Valley day/night menopause formula from Walmart but it is on backorder I guess so I picked up the Spring Valley Black Cohosh that you take 3 times a day but I'm only taking it in the morning and at bedtime. So far it is working.

Sigsauerem - Let me know how you do on the Amberen. I tried it 2 years ago for 30 days and didn't really see any relief.

I have very similar experience with hot flashes that wake me up at night just about every 2-3 hours and I have been gettiing sweats during the day. I just got black cohosh and took my first dose. I hope yours gets better!

If you are getting hot flashes as bad as you say, you might want to talk to your Dr. He cane put you on a low dose of hormones. I wish you the best of luck.

These I have never heard of--but at this point I am desperate---I can't even remember the last night I sleep for than 2 hrs without waking up with these horrible night sweats --today I cried because I was up all night it seems and then I have to get up to come to work -- I mean my night sweats are constant -- I am extremely hot, followed my being col to the point of shivering---it's nightgown on -- nightgown off

As for coffee -- no more than 1-1/2 per day
alcohol -- I might have a cocktail once a month or probably more like every two months
exercise -- at least 30 minutes per day

I hope it works....

what brand do you use -- I was buying one from Wal-Mart for 9.99 -- maybe I need a different brand

Evening Primrose & niacin may or may not help. Also, don't know how much caffine or alcohol you are consuming, but cut wayyyyy back if you are. Exercise also helps. Good luck

I am having so much trouble sleeping at night because of the constant on/off night sweats--anybody have some suggestion -- I am open to all that have successful remedies....
