The POTUS who supported the ACA was re elected. The ACA is already a Law, already funded..it has no p[lace in this budget brouhaha. Doesn't matter what the configuration of the congress was in 20 10 cuz those points are still valid.
The ACA was passed by both the House and the Senate, signed into Law in 2010, and the Supreme Court has already upheld it's constitutionality. It has no place in the budget. What we have here folks is a group of egotistical jerks who didn't get their way and like thugs everywhere, are making others pay for their pique.
My understanding was that the ACA was not a part of the budget at all (or shouldn't have been)...it is already funded and this is mainly a poor plot by the GOP to defund it...they have no chance in repealing the law so they are holding the rest of the government hostage...like the kids they are...
Sorry, I don't know who Adagio is so I haven't read the blog...probably already explained this...LOL

I think the health care act ought to be discussed separate from the budget. Who's idea was it to put the funding for a program already in place and voted for in the bill? If that's the case let NCLB be put on the chopping block or some other non-sensical initiative and NOT something that's going to help people and already have like The ACA.
