Never could understand hamburger helper..cooking the same things from scratch and real food takes no longer, tastes far better, and is much healthier. My kids never ate that swill in their lives, and I was a full time working Mom, and had five kids.
Edited to add..if the Million Prejudices Mommy finds that body the most "disgusting" thing she has ever seen then she has a problem! LMAO..
I'm going back to the time when there was " 1 " TV in the house & the WHOLE FAMILY would watch the same show! My brother & I would just about GAG at the conglomerations of CRAP those KRAFT people would put together in their commercials! YUK & UGH don't even come close! LOL NOW I FEEL REALLY OLD!
Having said that, I would like to END this conversation!
Everyone else, please FEEL FREE TO CONTINUE!
BTW...I never did Weight Watchers, so I can't relate to the "swill" they tried to pass off as FOOD! I HAVE tasted some "Nutra System" crap & THAT describes it PERFECTLY! CRAP!
I read the article & 1 of these "genius" MOMS said that THIS was the most DISGUSTING AD she had ever seen! WELL............I guess she never saw the KRAFT MUSIC HALL (I am really "dating" myself) that used to be on in the 1960's! They used to put the most DISGUSTING things together & it ALWAYS included MAYO & JELLO! For ex.: cheese, with carrots, peanut butter, jello & mayo all mixed together! (or something like that).
I find THAT COMBO much less TOLERABLE than that hot looking guy selling salad dressing; & I'm sure ANYBODY who saw those Kraft ads back then would agree with me!
One Million Moms (and I seriously doubt the one million claim..) also went after Penney's for using Ellen in their ads, etc. Just another bunch of bigots..I would like to see objectification of women end in the media myself..not because I am a prude, but because that whole deal allows the public to consider women toys rather than equals. Men? Amuses me to see the tables turned for once!
I was thinking the same thing! Anybody remember the "HOT BABE" who said, "TAKE IT ALL OFF" in the Noxzema Shave Cream commercial back in the 60's, while the "stripper music" played in the background? The "AD MEN" have been flaunting women at us for YEARS, so it's NICE (for ME AT LEAST) to see a "HOT GUY" hawking salad dressing! I wouldn't mind going on a picnic w/him & TRUST ME, eating SALAD would be the LAST THING ON MY MIND!
Good questions! I would be happy if we could sell anything on its own merits without sex or violence, but after a lifetime of ads in which scantily clad women sell beer and cars, it's kind of nice to see a scantily clad guy selling salad dressing. Now if only I wasn't old enough to be his mom.....
How did One Million Moms even become moms, given how much they apparently hate anything that even hints at sex? Seriously, don't they have kids to take care of? They seem to have a lot of time to try to force their views on the rest of us.
