I wonder if I could get an app for my gps that would beep when I'm approaching an objectionable establishment. I try to avoid the blatant ones, but after a while I can't even remember which brands of paper products are sold by the Koch brothers so I mostly buy the store brand, but who knows who the real manufacturer is. Life is complicated.
The fact that he contributes the $1 surcharge to conservative groups should be enough to keep any conscientious liberals from coming to his place. Seems to me that conservatives in business are eager to use their position as a bully pulpit. Note that Papa John's saying they will have to charge more and cut employee hours because of the Affordable Care Act. Denny's owners with a 5% "Obamacare" surcharge that they suggest taking out of your server's tip if it bothers you. Applebees threatening not to open new restaurants and to cut employee hours. So far these comments seem to be bad for business (funny thing, insulting about half of your patrons makes a lot of people go elsewhere). I say keep the pressure on. Any time a CEO uses their position to forward conservative views we should take our business elsewhere.
I wish the people who write these articles would ask them HOW do they know who is liberal and who isn't? I'm sure that there are some liberals paying the "other" rate because they are smart enough to keep their political views to themselves...we don't have to broadcast anything...we show it where it counts...in the polling booth...

Good place to avoid..and yes..MYOB would be the appropriate answer..EXCEPT that we try to boycott businesses who are conservative in areas we don't personally approve, do we not? What makes one thing worse than the other? Don't get me wrong, i do boycott..but sometimes I yearn for a world where one simply got hungry aand ordered a burger at the closest place, without all this baggage.
