I did a search with "House vote Violence Against Women" and found many reports on this. The reasoning? Well, gays/lesbians and illigals were added and the GOP says that by adding those, the Dems were trying to blackmail them by making them look bad if the voted no and they refused to let that happen so every last one of them voted no!!! I had to read it several times and it still made no sense to me. I'm hoping things will be different when the Senate votes.
I hate to hear this and very surprised that I haven't heard this on the news...at the rate the GOP is going, I can only hope that I will be happy with the cave they are trying to send us women back too...SMDH

I read in the local paper that the House voted to NOT renew the bill against voilence towards women. Don't even get me started on this issue. I am so glad none of their mothers have had vioence against them. When my mother was in a nursing home and in her 80's another patient molested her. When I was on the rape crisis team, my youngest was less than a year and the oldest was 84. This can happen to anyone. The same goes for spousal abuse. The women who manage to get away are often murdered by the spouse for daring to leave their control. Now women won't have any backup to bring these maniacs to court and receive some justice!!
