Some nutjob (forgot his name already) stood up on the floor of the Senate asking that there be an FBI investigation into whether the Pres. or Clinton did anything illegal ... duh ... "here we go with another witch hunt" is what I thought.
With everything else going on right now we hardly need this crap ... this was just a case of normal politics as usual - nothing illegal, and totally moot since nothing happened anyway. You'd think the GOP would rather fight Sestak than Specter, who's remained unbeaten in like about 60(?) years -- but they'll do anything to discredit Obama.
Being from IL, if you asked me if Rahm Emmanuel would do something like that ... lol ... I'd say yeah, sounds like him, but it still ain't illegal!
“Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right.” ~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
It wasn't even a paying gig, just an advisory role. Not the Sec of Navy deal Sestak stated. So there's really no law broken. Even a former Bush advisor laughed about it, saying it happens all the time, but with not being a paid spot it means nothing.
I listened to Scarborough jump up and down about it. First time I wanted to kick my tv during his show
It IS a nothing deal and good to have been dropped on the eve of a long weekend and it will be even less on Tuesday if the oil well blows another gasket or another Republican comes out of the closet at the weekend picnic...
The right delights in screaming their heads off whenever they hear the name "Clinton"... it makes me laugh until I cry that they get so worked up about him to this day...
I read it this morning, thought "and???" and forgot about it. Nothing new or unusual in the world of politics - it's done by both sides but they will of course make an issue as they do everything else. And this too shall pass...
