CARLI-MAE ~ You might have gone off tangent but then again probably not. Folks interested in behind the scenes stuff should check out Murdock. He owns or controls a lot more media then you even mentioned, including the London TImes and I think the Wall Street Journal if my (old and faulty) memory serves me. I know he owns the New York Daily News and, sadly, was at one time in pre-negotiations for the NY Times.

Right because "anyone" with an iota of a brain will know not to mess with "nukler" (as Bush would say) weapons if they know not what they are doing......

Well of course they are going to say Obama is "soft" on terrorism...they already did that song back when the "alleged" wanna be Xmas bomber struck...you know, Obama isn't keeping us safe because we don't have full body scans at the airport...but they never mentioned that it was the GOP Senators that killed that bill....I didn't know that until Chris Matthews called them out on it....

And since we have seen some of the signs from the Tea Party, it's safe to say that most can't read very well so them getting a weapon with "instructions" will only result in them injuring themselves when trying to "arm" it...and if it's chemicals that need mixing, they'll inhale the fumes and probably end up killing themselves....

Oh, sorry ... fell off the subject ... me and my tangents ... or was that a co-sine? LOL

I knew the right wingers would start yapping about the nuclear prolif. intentions ... and wished in this case the media had held off saying anything at this point. This is something every Pres. since Truman has had to keep on top of; and at the moment we don't know the details of Obama's plans (and probably won't until AFTER he meets with at least the Russians ... duh ... nothing like tipping your hand ahead of time)

So I'm just waiting to see what comes of it all, unlike the freaked out paranoid wnutz.

Murdock has always been into sensationalism ... for a while before he took over FOX, he bought the Chicago Sun Times and turned it into an even worse sensationalist vehicle than it was in the first place. Interesting thing was the paper still retained its Dem. Party leanings, leaving the city with the poor choice of that facist rag, the Chicago Tribune, or the Sun Times as the 2 major players.

Those who wanted to read some fairly accurate stuff would pick up the NYTimes ... for National, World, Financial News. That was all before most folks had internet and cable access. I still rely more on written articles than TV for in depth info -- people tend to forget that pictures/video can be skewed just as well as words, but with greater impact. i.e., remember the video coverage of Saddam Hussein's statue coming down??? Someone back at the time backed up for a wider pan of the scene revealing that what looked in the close up to be a huge crowd gathered around in celebration, there were only a few of our own soldiers and even fewer Iraqi citizens.

Oh Hannity was trashing this on Monday evening, saying how he read it on the Drudge Report. The I skipped over to Rachel Maddow and she was quoting the same story from the New York Times, but at least she was saying that N Korea and Iran would still get hit if they did anything.

I hate cherry picking parts of the story.

I read Rupert Murdoch is looking into FOX News support of Tea Party and if it's true, he's putting a stop to it... WHERE HAS HE BEEN FOR THE PAST 18 MONTHS?!!!

Oh I forgot, his sons are trying to run the show now and want the idiot in charge at FOX out. SAying it's becoming tabloid in news... I've said multi times and I ain't a millionaire/billionaire

I occasionally have nightmares that they already have them!

"...there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."

"We're children of a fighting race that never yet has known disgrace." (The Soldiers' Song, Irish national anthem)

Now that Obama is trying to make good on his promise to reduce nuclear proliferation... I'm waiting for:

A) The howls of the Republicans that he is soft on nuclear bombing and

B) Which of the Tea Partiers wants to take the nukes home with them since the government obviously can't be trusted to hold on to them...
