I have the same issues you are talking about TAMNROC! I shop at whole foods and their organic low-fat cheese is not very tasty, it is really kind of bland, but I use it because that is what is there. If I had the choice of an "all natural" cheese made with 2% milk w/o hormones, I would def go that route personally. Whole Foods does carry and organic low-fat cottage cheese that rocks! WTG on the weightloss!!! Doesn't matter how long it has taken you, just that you have made it!! WooHOO!! Good 4 U!!!

Hi everyone! Just introducing myself. I have gone on a weight loss "journey". Painstakingly taking 3 1/2 yrs to lose 75 lbs, but I attribute most of my success to hard work (ing out) and to Jillian's MYM book. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. I have just 10 more lbs to go til I get to my ideal weight (235 lbs down to 160 lbs :o)...It is like my bible. I do have a question, that I'd love to know...
I usually am not able to find ORGANIC, LOW-FAT versions of things like cheese, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, etc. Does anyone know if it's more important to have the organic kind (in moderation of course) OR to chose the low-fat "natural" version?

I guess I missed the part that talked about people going to bed at 11. Cause I like to be in bed by 9. Which would mean no food after 7 then.

I agree with Jillian! I think the food is metabolized the same as any other time you eat, but I think Jillian's point is that your growth hormones won't be released when your insulin is high and there was another hormone, but I can't remember what it was.

My question is: She made the comment not to eat after 9 because most people are in bed by 11. Does that mean if you go to bed at 10 you shouldn't eat after 8??

I have found, personally, that it helps if I dont eat after 7 or 8. I feel slightly hungry before bed and it is easily curbed by tea. When I wake up I feel refreshed. It may just be personal preference, but I cant justify eating a big, carb-loaded meal and then going to sleep. When all of those nutrients are released 2-6 hours later, where are they going to go?

DON'T EVER GIVE UP.

Jillian says eat every 4 hours.

Which is tough for me! I get up around 6, am at work by 6:30, and try to eat by 6:45. So that would mean I need to eat at 10:45, and then again at 2:45 and then 6:45, and that would be my last meal because of not eating after 8 pm (I say 8 for me because I like to be in bed by 9, so I wouldn't be eating after 9 :p)

I guess it's not as problematic as it seemed in my head :p I just need to figure out what to eat at those times :p

Thanks for listening!

I do have one other thing. Jillian says not to eat after 9, because of how your body metabolizes the food. But spark people says that it doesn't matter when you eat. . .What do you think?
